Who is going to pay for older generation when **** hits the fan and real state of Polish economy will be exposed with all bad management and international credits - I can see that revel :(

Work / Why is Polish workmanship so bad? [52]
A few reason actually :
for one -
I would say that most of the people earning so little they will always take chances going for lower prices.
for two - there used to be guilds for different crafts, there isn't anymore so anyone can claim to be .............(put right word here).
for last point -
there nothing you you as a customer can really do about bad workmanship, no pay and kick his ass is only real option here and doesn't happened often obviously.
At your service ......
if you are say plummer and you are doing your job thoroughly you are being paid the same money as some of your colleges who can't be arsed to do job properly, they rush over the list of custumers in hurry becose they have allready prived clients and real many to be made.
So they have a money, sometimes they are being promoted if giving lip service to the socialism and the Party, they have a car and all the little thing making the life better.
And they call you sucker, wife call you looser and children are asking but mr X is plummer as well and he got ................!
Somebody had to have a great moral integrity to not become like others.
That what system have to do with crating such moral atmosphere in which such things as stated in the OP post become possible and common enough.

When you talk about Polish culture you compare it to US one without even saying it !

but all those things I listed as problems in Poland are not major problems in the US

well, I don't think that Poland's national interest was served best by people moving abroad.
"his builds up a reputation for you as a people and frankly it's not the greatest. If you want a better international reputation then stop with the bragging and nonsense. The "stupid" reputation of Poles comes from the stubborn unwillingness to do more than the bare minimum or admit fault. If Poles don't know something they will lie or blow it off rather than admit it and find out or fix it....people don't like this.
I can go on for hours with fellow expats about the "Polish way" and we often have each other in stitches because there is so much that is "different" in Poland and it's rarely "better"."- I think above half-rant is hardly fair nor just!

Administration and law is a joke, people in the offices have a wrong attitude, and so ....there is for a reason and don't give me that excuse for an argument - that Poland is not communist for 20 years.
Saying all that I must add that your generalizations are just that, crappy and unfair generalizations. People are just people and in any given country you can find full spectrum of all human characters and behaviors.
So, I would appreciate very much if you withhold those useless generalizations and concentrate on real issues.

My opposition to this logical and easy equation that connect number of people overstaying their visas and requirement to have said visa for Polish citizens is also logical.
There is question I would like to have answered:
Why citizens of the others East Europeans country's enjoy visa free privilege to travel to USA? Such as Lithuania, Hungary etc. - given here only as an example!
I would like you to treat my doubts seriously and not to answer me that citizen's of said country's didn't overstayed their visas because I refuse to believe it!

If many foreigners from one country cause the same trouble in the US, our government doesn't have any other choice but to be strict about releasing visas to people from this country. This is how it works.
