anyone that knows anything about projectors knows that it's turning them on and off that destroys the bulbs, not leaving them running

Wait and see - people will always find business opportunities.

For sure a few of them would but we are talking about thousands here.

Maybe one will give you a job if you return to Poland...

My return to Poland is unlikely to happen and if I ever come back to Poland I wouldn't need a job either.

Genuine refugees will settle

Why didn't they settle in Greece or Turkey in the first place then?

but all those economic migrants will be gone within seconds.

And EU wants to fine Poland if they go so how do you want to keep them if not by locking in the concentration camps?

As John says - zilch.

Perhaps if the EU made some decisions of money that countries have to pay to help solving the problem instead of trying to force them to accept thousands of people in that wouldn't be the case?

They have 2 problems, first they need refugees and second, the refugees might be slightly unhappy with the amount of money they would receive :-)

Feedback / Sad news today of the passing of a member of our site (Avalon) [16]

Sad news :-/ The name didn't ring the bell so I checked his posts and unfortunately he was one of those few foreigners who had great respect for Poland. He appreciated many things about Poland that so many others hate... RIP Avalon.

All print media is declining, however as a news provider, the Polish Gazeta Wyborcza is doing fine.

you're very out of touch with Poland, having been an economic migrant in Brum for the past decade.

We both know it's not truth but I don't feel like googling the statistics right now unless you insist.

The sad thing is that an outsider or newcomer might read this and think it's a reflection of what people think here in Poland,

It's sad only for you that the outsider might read the truth about your favorite rag, the truth that it's commonly called "Gazeta Wybiórcza" by majority of the Polish population.
