Language / Advice needed for learning Polish Language [41]

"Stupid" stands for more complicated than necessary just because...
If English can become the world's primary language without getting into the sex life of the kitchen table, any language that must is, therefore, inferior. Or like dziura and patyk.

Same with the 26-letter alphabet that has just one a, c, and one z instead of three.

Here is the explanation:

Explanation how to recognize is not the same as justify.
What you did was gave a quick course how the noun genders can be spotted. Illogical and stupid is still illogical and stupid.

The day is normally associated with a masculine

Which is stooopid. This and the other examples.
No wonder I had to leave Poland.

Language / Advice needed for learning Polish Language [41]

The craziest part of the languages like Polish is the lack of logic. Try to explain to an American why stol (table) is masculine while noga (leg) that is part of that very same table is feminine. But it gets worse. Krzeslo (chair) right next to that table is, guess what, neither. It's to. Nie ten, nie ta. It's to.

Main thing is hearing the native language 24/7

Bingo! That is why I saw no benefit from clinging to Polish in "America". I mean zero.

News / Let us save Poland. Suggestions [40]

Nations collapse from the internal moral rot, cultural foreign invasions, and overspending, not bad private investments. And for a very simple reason: wealth cannot be destroyed without fire, floods or wars. When a company goes bankrupt, another company acquires what's left over and continues.

If "booming economies" were the yardsticks to measure success, prostitutes would be motivational speakers.

May I suggest that we concentrate on the enemy at the gates?

I could eat tatar every day. It would kill me before my scheduled day of departure, though, as nobody ever accused Polish food of prolonging life.

Life / Graffiti problem in Poland [38]

the kids atleast have enough respect to avoid religious and cultural sites

Spot on. I was so surprised how clean Gdansk Old Town was that I stopped at the local police station to find out how so.

That window next to number 6 was ours. It's near Plac Zbawiciela. It was sad to see.

I had both in a restaurant in Miedzylesie right by the station in 2017. If I ever go back, it will be for that reason.

it's not even gangs or cliques claiming turf it's just swear words, white power symbols

...just mindless vandalism.
The real shocker was when I sat down next some 40-something guy in the same park and asked him how do you, guys, put up with this nonsense. His reply was: it's just kids and we got used to it. Do you ever get angry? No. What's the use. Pathetic.

This is when I recalled with fondness that case in Singapore and the beating the a-hole got. I am sure he never did it again in Singapore.

News / Poland's young voters turning to the right - DW news [105]

And why are you always so negative???? ;)

It's because so many of us wake up in cold sweat about the poison the German guilt-driven ruling class allowed in and because those who hate it are realizing the horrible danger and the fear that a loss of culture and national identity brings to the kitchen tables where, as in Poland, that identity was in a grave for a very long time. That BMW goes only so far to forget one's own history.

I didn`t mean the war between blocks but between seperate countries.

Still wrong. The US would not tolerate any crap within Western Europe then or now.
Did you salute the US flag as I asked you? You don't have to kiss it, just salute.

50 years of peace

...was a gift from the US. Nothing to do with the EU. What the EU did was convinced many Americans to ignore you next time your Euro asses are in a jam. Now, we know it wasn't worth our dead soldiers and our money to liberate suicidal Euro-morons.

Say, thank you and salute the US flag next time you see it.

None of this is true.

As is so typical of the justifiers, you are in the full denial mode.
You are too smart not to know the difference between political slogans and fine print. The ruled slaves were never given the fine print, the legalese and the final version BEFORE they could form an opinion and vote in a referendum..

why the right wingers all across Europe are so keen to dismantle the EU

Just a suggestion: Because the EU was imposed by the European ruling class, because the plan was not fully disclosed before hand, because the slave class was never asked if they like the idea....

You know, insignificant s*** like this.

Polonia / What similarities would you say there are between Poles and Mexicans? [132]

Yes, but I never saw a morbidly obese squirrel. Only humans and their victims - their pets and kids - get that way.
If you weigh a squirrel once a month, the dot connecting line will fluctuate seasonally. Fatsos' weight line is always on the way up until they die or get stapled.

Precisely. Words, first, to mentally incapacitate. Guns and prisons, later, to prevent "oh, f***, they lied to me. What have I done!!!" post-fact reaction.
Hence, useful idiots - a term too mild considering the damage these dupes usually cause.
The American version of "oh, f***, they lied to me. What have I done!!!" repeated with frightening regularity is:

"Oh, f***, they lied to me again. What have I done again!!!"

Polonia / What similarities would you say there are between Poles and Mexicans? [132]

The first difference you see is how fat deposits itself on the Latinas vs the Polish women. Not that guys are any better.
Which fat version is less disgusting is a personal opinion. The statistical truth - aside from the fact that fat is ugly, not natural, and that it can kill you - is that one has to make a deliberate effort to get fat.

That is why I have to be dragged to a Polish buffet. After we leave, my wife predictably says, "don't let me do it again". Mexican food is heaven in comparison.

Language / What do you like in Polish language? [70]

I am. But, as the mods just reminded us, I will not elaborate.
To my ear, Polish is almost as painful as German. Whoever invented the word "czcze" should have been shot next day to prevent more of such gifts from hell from polluting the language that was already full of the of sounds you get when you slide a metal comb over the blackboard.

Language / What do you like in Polish language? [70]

American English sounds rather painful to me, but British English sounds nice.

AE is simpler. Take "I know". The BE version makes that "ow" sound as if there were three vowels in it. Way too complicated and too long. In the AE edition, "know" sounds like "no" - short and easy to say.

Also, AE is more natural for the humans to sing in, even for the Brits. A British singer or a group may try to sing in the BE but they will sound more like they were Americans. At least, this is my impression.

Language / What do you like in Polish language? [70]

One can dislike a regime, but not a language!

There are only three languages that deserve to be liked for the way they sound: American English, French, and Italian. The rest is somewhere between tolerable and painful.
