News / Ethnic tensions erupt in Ełk, Poland [180]

@Wulkan
Yeah. Few years ago I started to chase a guy and I completely forgot about that ak 47 I had in my hands. Tried to pick in nose in the meantime with my index finger accidentally pulling the trigger lolololo.

I'll just add that original Rumcajs isn't even Polish. Hehe

Not really, he is saying that if a crime is committed by a foreigner it's naturally get more attention than the same crime committed by a local.

Exactly.

So in essence what you are saying is that only Poles are allowed to commit crime in Poland?

No. I said why there was a crowd there. No crime is allowed in Poland.

apart from the fact that people do not trust authorities to sort those issues out that something else is on the menu.

More and more people trust the police mostly thanks to what police achieved under Pis rule. Spectacular arrests, Minister of Justice taking action personally. Crimes lower in numbers. Even 18 old cases are being solved.

We are very sensitive to foreigners committing crimes on our soil. That's our trait and that's the thing a foreigner can't know and understand.

How many years people have been fed terrorist stories?

LOL. We aren't fed with those. We are witnessing those in many many countries where muslim minorities are relevant and we are connecting number of terrorist attacks with the amount of Muslims present in a country.

We can clearly see that fewer Muslims = fewer problems.

Its simple logic yet leftists call us racists because us using common sense is against their agendas.

@dolnoslask
Of course it's a murder. 2 of them are charged. Polish police doesn't charge with out significant proof therefore I imagine one was stabbing him while the other holding him in place.

@RubasznyRumcajs
If you believe that Polish worker would stab someone inside that Kebab instead of simply calling police then you're out of your mind or haven't been to Poland for a long time.

Daniel deserved to get punched in the face and police intervention. Not death.

That Muslim scum forgot its not Middle East and killing someone in broad light won't be justified.

A little update about prosecutors work in progress.

Another person has been charged with murder of Daniel. It's a citizen of Algeria. So both Tunisian and Algerian are charged.

Daniel was murdered. The crowd acted irrationally and wrong but I am glad they did. This will make muslim scum to think twice before coming to my country.

All in all I prefer to be called racist if that's the price for keeping murdering savages out.

Language / I was born in Poland and I cannot pronounce 'CZ' [35]

@DominicB
I just love to use archaic or simply rare words in everyday Polish. Words like "fintifluszka" or "stolec" (as a word for chair) are simply hilarious :) I tend to do the same in English.

I know I'm weird :)

Language / Spelling of a Polish name? [38]

It sounds like "Woldow". It's definitely not Polish name nor surname so most likely producers didn't do their homework. Sounds like Russian surname. In fact that actor doesn't even look Polish to me.

Language / I was born in Poland and I cannot pronounce 'CZ' [35]

Slight offtopic

oughtn't pose

I thought "oughtn't" requires infinitive "to" to be used correctly since if you break it down it is "ought not to". So your sentence in next to last of your posts should look like this:

Nasals, for French speakers, oughtn't to pose too much of a problem.

Or am I mistaken?

Thanks

You don't live in Poland yourself yet you try to decide who can and cannot live there?

@DominicB
Well. There's your experience and there's mine hehe.

Anyway. Those things regardless of how annoying to you may be are just nuances. It's a level on par with English speakers trying to ask me about Katarzyna's whereabouts by saying "Where's Kasza?":). It's just a question of practice. Nothing more.

Vast majority of Poles using English on daily basis (Poles abroad) are self taught (like myself), never had a proper lesson and a tutor. Most of them have never seen an English dictionary yet after a year or so in the UK they are able to talk with natives about their work and even meet with then in a pub after the work to have a relaxing chat (ignoring nuances). Now imagine a generally lowly educated British "Bob the construction worker" coming to Poland and after one year going to "knajpa" and having a chat in Polish with the natives there. I can't see that happen.

Now IMHO there are two major reasons to that.

1. Poles are used to barriers in languages since they were fighting to beat the extremely complex Polish grammar from day one of their lives,

2. English (up to pretty high level) is EASY (yes I said it) therefore they don't really need to learn it properly (just being submerged in it daily is enough) and are basically unaware of the subtle nuances you mentioned above (since they were never taught about those).

@DominicB

There is many false stereotypes about Poles like the "th" sound being somewhat impossible to produce by them (where it is as easy as just putting tongue between teeth and mildly blowing) or to understand English cases and putting those in use.

Like I said. Those aspects are hard for primary school "absolwents" (lol) that often struggle with Polish itself. Lol

LOL. Nonsense. Maybe for Poles after primary schools there's no difference lol Especially in British English words like bad and bed or bat and bet are very easy to distinguish.

Language / What's the difference between "idź" and "przejdź"? [19]

On jechał rowerem do pracy- He was riding a bicycle to work vs. On pojechał rowerem do pracy

This is exactly why i call English tenses "półczasami" or "half- times".

" Zrobiłem kupę dlatego, że w dalszej części wypowiedzi stwierdzam, że robiłem kupę" i nazwanie tego czasem mnie śmieszy. :)

@Wulkan
AGREED. Poland is traditional but it is Western country by all means. Its not Iran or UAE. We wont kill u for being of colour or wearing wrong clothes. Such things only in Muslim countries.

BTW. Its Polish. With the capital "P".

Life / COMBATING "POLACK" JOKES [460]

Polack jokes lol.

I think jokes about us are sometimes funny. I often laugh my ass loud reading gay jokes or "dresiarze" jokes or jews jokes. Thing is they are all just that. Jokes. Nothing real. Just made up.

A proper joke is the real life one and Americans are best on this classification.

Mind you its not a joke. Its American reality.

News / Demonstrations in Poland in defence of democracy. [2554]

@Paulina
Sure i am. I am "good" with all that can be good for my country. Im sure that good relations with The West and with The East are just like that.

I see no reason to polarize. We can cooperate with all. We dont have to call Russians enemies just because Hamburgerica hates them (is scared of them).
