If you need to learn Polish I think the Hurra books are good also, you will be able to learn it as you have learnt languages already. It is possible to get Polish lessons also through skype from a teacher and I think that a teacher is a good idea: hurra+po+polsku&tag=googiehydra

my own advise would be to pay for some lessons, this way you will make best use of your time and learn the most. My own experience is that unless you are a teacher it is extremely difficult to teach grammer, most native speakers(non teachers/linguists) don't know the grammer of their own language, they know how to speak it properly, know what sounds correct but cannot explain it, I am the same, a child can speak perfectly well but couldn't tell you about grammer.

I think that it would be a mistake to just limit yourself to Polish women and miss out on meeting someone great. Women are the same all over the world as far as I know, some good, some bad, some happy, some sad, there are cultural differences but I don't think that these cultural differences are key to happiness.

How Polish must she be? What does it mean to be Polish? Is having a Polish passport good enough? Does she need to speak Polish? Does she need to know how to cook bigos? Does she need to have lived in Poland for x years?

I am very sorry but unless you have a good level of Polish it won't be possible to carry out a two conversation expressing your intentions, hopes for the future etc., but you could say things that they will understand which I am sure that you already know.

Instead of kocham cię say kocham ją etc. I love her instead of I love you. Someone else more know more things that you would like to say, maybe your girlfriend will help you? I am sure she won't mind hearing how much you love her etc.

And just to use all the polite forms, Pani, Pan, don't use ty or any of the 2nd person endings etc when addressing her parents. I am sure that you know this also.

I don't know of any IRC channel that will help you learn Polish. I think that most of these channels will be similiar to english speaking channels anyway inmho, lots of text speak which isn't really proper english or polish. I think that forums or comments on you tube videos have better language content. Best of luck.

I recommend BYKI also, I have the full version and I can add my own flash cards when I need to remember something. It is a good place to start but making your own flash cards is labour intensive.

After a while I recommend that you get Polish lessons through skype or in person etc. Are there still Polish soldiers in Afganistan?
