Love / All the good Polish men for dating are taken? [111]

I do not think it is a good move to look for a partner on sites likes this one. Part are weirdos, and another part are on this or for fun (just to poke controversies), or to share information about Poland.

You could be right you could be wrong..stranger things have happened..do you want me to go through every other cliche! People find love in the most unexpected places..whoops, I cant help myself! :D

And a possible final is this: they steal a tank and run away towards the setting sun :)

Tank? Oh, no..I nice horse and carridge...lets make it romantic..(not sure where you'll fine a horse and carridge in Glasglow though)

Life / Why are the Italians and Polski so much alike? [90]

Texas grandparents would send him all of these cheap fun toys for Christmas and the Danish/Polish/German grandparents from NY would send him expensive children clothes and practical things. He said that he always automatically new the presents from NY were crap and that the ones from Texas were exciting.

Then your father was an ungrateful little boy, maybe the other side couldn't afford more, did you think about that, also what kid wants clothes and "practical" things for christmas, its a time of joy and fun for kids for goodness sake! Give me cheap toys in abundance over a fookin jumper any day!

Alison, I have no idea what you concept of "Europe" is but the "typical" granny has been replaced with a child minder because granny has worked her socks off for years in a job to contribute to supporting the family and is enjoying her retirement now! The times you are reminiscing through are your fathers tales which are long gone, most if not all Italian women in Italy work same as in all European countries.

Why do Americans call real grandmas (real=gives sweets, gives pocket money, tell stories, are beloved by their grandchildren) as italian grandmas? doesnt non-italian grandmas like that?

I went to school with 30% Italian 2nd generation and they all got the same as I did and were treated no differently - Im English by the way! Alison is living in some dream and is deamonising Americans because she has some dream that its all different in Europe..It's bollox!

Sorry Ali but you've been fed a crock of shyt...

Life / Why are the Italians and Polski so much alike? [90]

well I heard that Italians call us Polish "the Italians of the North"

Wasnt someone saying they heard that the Irish liken themselves to Poles too or visa versa because of the whole family thing?...Dont Pakistanis and Indians have close family relationships too, why not liken yourselves to them, its no different? :D

USA, Canada / A Canadian citizen overstayed Visa in Poland [35]

You acknowledged that you over stayed...

actually i did have the correct visa to study in poland, it's just in 4th year i didn't have a visa after i came back from vacation in january.

You had a 3 months tourist visa.

You do realise that since December 2007, without a valid visa, you can only spend 90 days out of every 180 in the Schengen zone?

He understood completely.

Oh well, 12 months isnt too long, personally I think they should make it 10 years :D

Not by Africans, Pakistanis and Indians,

They dont count - I meant civilized people.

USA, Canada / A Canadian citizen overstayed Visa in Poland [35]

why would they reject the appeal, i was not overstaying in poland intentionally. there are no options at all?

Does a visa not have an expiry date? Does that date not usually tell you that your time is up? If you ignore the date on the visa you are intentionally overstaying.

Marrying someone to get into a country is frowned upon by the way.

History / The Untold Battle of Britain [205]

War is always about killing, not always about murder.

The concentration camps were set up to murder people - this was part of the war effort on behalf of the Germans, women and children were not exactly a threat, yet they were slaughtered in the 100s of 1,000s.

As for Bomber Harris, there's a statue of him and the majority of people dont believe he did anything worse than the Luftwaffe did to cities in the UK - as already stated, it was war time and **** happened.

Law / Laundromats in Poland? Good business venture or not? [90]

Restaraunt/Bar/laundrette! This works very well in the US, people take their laundry here and whilst waiting for it to be ready, they have their lunch or dinner along with some refreshment.

Nice idea, but if I had to use a laundrette, Id much prefer to just do a service wash and enjoy a drink somewhere else.

Well even in UK they have a supervisor.

Usually some old dear..Not exactly security, I dont think laundrettes are particular targets for vandals in the UK.

Love / Are there Polish women who date black guys? [281]

Her husband went back to Greece before he was 1 year old (couldnt hack it in the UK because he's a thicko with no skills and she had no intentions of going back - no idea why she married him!)...The attitude is because she has tried to over compensatve for him not having his father there - the result has been he is a horrible spoilt brat with no manners.

I wasnt married to him (thankfully!) and she's not Polish, she's English..They do have a kid...totally stunning looking but the worst attitude Ive ever come across.

Work / Average monthly salary in Poland is around 1000 PLN (few hundred bucks). [387]

Sensible is an under-statement that sounds like blatent poverty to me.. The funny thing is over here in Ireland im am constantly told by irish people that the Poles are living like kings now because they robbed money from the west and that they are the only country not in recession bla bla bla. They are so far removed from the actual economic situation for the average Pole in Poland.

The thing is Milky, they hear their work colleagues talking about the new apartment they purchased or the land they purchased for the house they're building, what do you expect them to think? How do you expect them to know the realities of your "average" working family in Poland?

The Irish economy was built up by hard graft from Poles

Did they bollox! It wasnt it was built on multi national companies setting up business there - when the tax breaks ended they all flocked off to pastures new..Poland being one of the destinations!

Seriously... man - you DON'T want to do that. The language is a nightmare even for
native Poles, but for foreigners it's an absolute c**t of a language to learn (to use
a poetic expression

He'll be fine, Indians are good a picking up languages - "would you like a drink Magda" would be his best starting point.

You're a terrible woman, Amathyst - it's the guy's hapiness and future life at stake
and YOU KNOW that it will be so much better for him in the UK, you just want to
annoy me :-/

Untrue, he'll wont be able to get a visa for the UK under the new immigration laws, so best he goes to Poland - wonderful place it is :D

Not like the Britsh - gentlemen and ladies, always smiling, kind-hearted

Alas this is also untrue, a bunch of drunken fab badly dressed thugs :( with hearts of stone :( I wouldnt wish any inteligent hard working Indian to come to this country, best he does his Masters in Poland and then calls for his extended famliy when he is finished.

Poles remain zoological racists.

But what about all those lovely Polish girls who are dating lovely Indian guys? I think you must be wrong - every nation has its idiots of course, but I dont think Poland has any more than other countries.

Holy sh1t it sounds like the Brady Bunch over there, is it true that starangers walk up to you on the street and offer you their wife or life savings if they think you look sad?

Not only that, Polish fathers are over joyed when their daughters bring nice African and Indian boys home for dinner...It brings a tear to my eye when I think of the joy that these people bring to Polish families.

Only 45 days to go, what a wonderful new life in Poland :D

Love how the girl who's a patriot on the picture is from India or somewhere :D

Its the Union flag, not "England" flag, so I can live with it :D

Remember people might say that you're trying to compete with the bride.....

Oh come on, its just a maxi dress, its the fashion - are people really that shallow that they'd even give it a second though?

I would have rather chosenthe floral print dress.

She could then dab cat pee round her ears and have the complete "old lady" look :D

Ur reply was really a ice breaker to me

I think you mean "deal breaker", now go and learn some Polish, this will smooth the way for you and your future family, translations services are expensive in Poland so best to be self-suffient and know the language, Indians are masters in this area so you should have no problems.

All the best in your new adventure and a long happy life in Poland :D

I hope I will be not the victim of the racism as someone mentioned here.

Its all propaganda - Life in Poland is peaceful and a safe place to live, of course there will be idiots but faith and a good heart will guide you away from this kind of trouble. Many Indians are leaving the UK to make new lives in Poland, Poland has so much more to offer a hard working man who wants to succeeed.

Come on Torq, you know you are just having fun with Karuinia, tell him the truth about Poland...You yourself have a lovely Indian wife and 9 children...You are proof that Indians in Poland have a lovely secure life! Also your education system, I mean look at all these well educated Poles speaking flawless English, this is testimony to your country! Your economy managed to evade the recession, and he'll be able to build a house for his extended Indian family where ever he likes because in Poland you can build a house where ever you like.

Karuinia,

My advice would be, to go Poland they need young bright Indians and you will be loved and welcomed (especially by girls named Ania and Magda) - its like Britain was in the 1940s so you have a blank canvas to populate areas and open corner shops...You will be like a pioneer! Go for it!

Poland is such a wonderful country and the girls will love you, Indian men are considered so exotic in Poland. The education system is second to none and when you get your citizenship they will welcome your extened family with open arms. There are lots of Indian ex pats living there and enjoying the hospitality of Polish people and more and more Indian restaurants are opening, these guys on this thread are just having some fun with you.

Good luck with your new life in Poland, I hope you find a lovely Magda or Ania and have lots of lovely children.

Ignore their comments about going to the UK, its a hell hole with no jobs and very strict immigration rules :( But Poland has no such obsticals to put in your way, lots of jobs and lax immigration rules..It will be heaven for you.

History / The Untold Battle of Britain [205]

It was merely a comparison - you mentioned Dresden, I mention Coventry, which was flattened to the ground by Germans who obviously had little compassion for those living there..It wasnt a strategic target like other cities were, I can understand why London - its our capital and I can why undersand Manchester, it was an industrial hub where factories were producing weapons for the war effort and I can understand why Liverpool it was a port for good such as food - but Coventry? Did they read their maps wrong?

What are you about?

By the way I dont condone the wholesale slaughter of inconent people, but we are talking about a time when two countries were at war with each other and emotions were running high, rightly or wrongly, Britain did what it did, it was dog eat dog and and it was sending a clear message to Germany that England would not lie down and roll over! They relaliated and the war continued with more inocent lives being lost..Thats war, but this is 2010 and our two nations have moved on, maybe its time other nations do the same!

History / The Untold Battle of Britain [205]

He's an Aussie? that explains a lot. There a sub section of of Australians who are nasty, petty minded racists with attitudes that hark back to the 1950's. Repulsive if your happen to get surrounded by them as several friends have. Put them all of Australians which is a pity because many of them are decent people.

Excuse me, I have relatives that moved to Aus in the 50s, they are neither racist nor repulsive...Dont you just hate sweeping statements?

FFS how old are you? I suspect you were not even thought of nevermind born at this time. If you are going to be bitter tell it to the Germans and the Russians after all they invaded. Not the French, British or USA.

Oh well, bitterness is like a cancer, it eats away and twists people up...quite sad really, we should pitty rather than barate.

Life / Children in Krakow Apartment Playgrounds [21]

Oh dear, You sound like the Kiddy Catcher!.Face facts, children make noise, the parents are by no means dense, they are "imune" to the noise, this happens over time....

My advice:

Move house, get one without a playground or get some ear plugs.

History / The Untold Battle of Britain [205]

Does Dresden rings any bells?hypocrite...

Does Coventry ring any bells?

For starters, it did not have to flirt with Stalin and negotiate percentages of influence in Europe and beyond.

This is just my thought, had I been from a foreign country and perceived Britian as abhorrent and an abomination, I wouldnt have come to settle here - but Poles did and continue to arrive right through the 1950s and 1960s and 1970s and 1980s and 1990s and then the biggest influx of in the 2000s, they could have gone to other countries but chose to settle here - why do you think that was? I mean, there wasnt the abundance of benefits in the early years as there are now, could it be that Britain wasnt as loathed as some might like to make out on here?

You just sumise what happened between the 3 leaders, no one really knows for sure, the thing I know for sure is that Britain was in no shape to take on Russia and I dont belive Amercia had the inclination to, what would be the benefit?

News / An Open Letter for newly Elected President of Poland [8]

most of the health system of us runs by our doctors.

Are you sure about that? If this is true then why did the government put restrictions on Indian doctors (to the outrage of indians) we have plenty of our own thanks, plenty that are not continuosly up in front of the GMC for inappropriate behaviour!

rather the back bones of us and uk

Rather the rats and parasites of the UK who have failed to assimilate after over 40 years - we can do without dirty veg markets, sari shops and indian takaways - not to mention immigration solicitors - none of these things actually benefit the indiginous population, they only serve the parasites within their closed communities.

what a inferiority complexed personality u r

Actually Im English so rather superior to some little brown curry smelling man with some fake MBA certificates who thinks its okay to approach women when sunbathing.

we are not rejects

Not only, you're inbred too, asians account for 1 in 3 genetically impaired children in the UK (retarded or physical defects)..considering you're supposed to be a minority here, thats a rather high figure, one can only conclude that marrying ones close relatives isnt a healthy thing do to - you are therefore a burden on British society and probably other countries you flee to from your large open toilet.

is calling a member of great nation as rejects. hi hi

What great nation would that be? One where millions live in shyte and have no access to clean water in the year 2010 or education or health care or where you dont seem to get the concept of refuse removal. What great nations use images of staving children in order to extract money? You may have a few brand names and a few high fashion shops in a few cities, but you are by no means considered by the outside world "great" .

at least Britain could not degrade Polish generals to the level of day labourers.

They were lucky to have a job, did you not read my post "mass unemployment"

After war they were discarded like empty beer-can. Was that necessary?

No different to the British soldiers then. Somethings never change!

Why do you think they should have had preferential treatment? Because they fought in a war? Or because they were Polish?

History / The Untold Battle of Britain [205]

I asked what could Britain have done post war - are you aware the state Britain was in? I wasnt referring to Teheran I was however referring to the ravaged state of my country, little food, inner cities looking like bomb sites - whoops my bad they were bomb sites! Massive debts and mass umemployment...Simply put, we had no choice. What about your neighbouring countries - why not ask them why they didnt help? What about America? What about France? What about Holland? What about Italy??
