USA, Canada / Where do most Polish-Americans identify on the political spectrum? [142]

I am of the opinion that government and private enterprise are two completely seperate things and both should serve as a check for the other. They should never be aligned, always opposite or corruption results. With that point of view, I am neither right nor left since I believe both should exist and are necessary.

Polonia / What similarities would you say there are between Poles and Mexicans? [132]

I have seen lots of Mexican women and "beautiful" is not a word I would use to describe them. "Friendly" "Hardworking" "Practical" "No Nonsense" "Spanish speaking" "Short" "Tiny, narrow feet" "Chubby, wide bodies" "Strong" but not beautiful unless you call short, squat and dark beautiful. But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

What's to the east of Mexico besides an ocean?

He means US to the NORTH of Mexico while Russia is East of Poland unless he means Germany then it would be West. However, US is not questionable to Mexico. We have always had a good relationship since the Alamo thing.

And Poles don't have those little Chihuahua dogs following them around, either.

Really, the only thing they have in common is the Catholic church and that's it. Besides that, Mexicans are nothing like Poles. For one thing, they have completely different histories. Another thing, Mexicans speak Spanish, Poles speak Polish.

Mexico is a tropical country, Poland a frigid. Poles and Mexicans look nothing alike. I mean really, what do they honestly have in common besisides the church and being the same species? Hardly anything.

Life / Do Polish parents let/encourage their kids to **** outdoors? [40]

Not that so much as dirty diapers in parking lots though I haven't seen one of those in a few years which either means people aren't littering as much or store employees are doing a better job of cleaning. I have never seen kids behaving this way where I live or anywhere else I've been. If they have to go and there is no bathroom available they pee or poop in their pants instead.

Love / Your feedback on office sex (situation from Poland) [37]

What you should do is discuss it with whomever you discuss such things with at work and decide what to do from there. You might have to discipline them both in some way, depending on what procedures your company has in place. You should do something because they are not supposed to copulate on the job.

Food / Is chocolate popular in Poland? [52]

What brands of ice cream are there in Poland? Is chocolate a popular ice cream flavor, too? How about ice cream in general? I am a total chocoholic and prefer chocolate bars and chocolate cake over ice cream.

It's a made up name. The idea is that it evokes the idea of European sophistication.

I see. When I first saw the name, I thought of Amsterdam and how decedent a city it is and thought they would have this kind of ice cream there. The name reminded me of Amsterdam.

Spoon cake is a rich, decadent, pudding cake that is soooooo good. It's too good. Nothing should be allowed to be that good because people want to eat too much of it.

PP. Doesn't the chocolate spoon snap when you try to eat your cake?

No but my mouth melts into oblivion when I eat the cake, for better or worse...

Food / Is chocolate popular in Poland? [52]

I have a weakness for chocolate spoon cake and I wonder if chocolate is a popular flavor in Poland and if it isn't, what flavors do Poles prefer in desserts?
