News / SUNDAY WITHOUT MASS IN POLAND - Judaeo-leftist Wyborcza gloats [165]

What kind of special attention?

Its obviously antisemitic to describe anything as Jewish owned because it implies that the owners are first and foremost Jewish rather than business people who happen to be Jewish

In other words Jews are the new taboo. If you mention them you're singling them out and that is anti-Semitic.

It wouldn't be taboo if you described all other businesses in the same way

News / SUNDAY WITHOUT MASS IN POLAND - Judaeo-leftist Wyborcza gloats [165]

Singling out people who are Jews for special attention.

Is stating that Gazeta Wyborcza is Jewish controlled anti-semitic?

Yes

Is saying Hollywood is controlled largely by Jews anti-Semitic? Just count 'em starting at the top. Maybe when you get down to the electrican, floor-sweeper and janitorial level they wouldn't be in the majority anymore.

I would start with the shareholders

That's quite a sad thing to write.
About 4 months before my father died he asked me to take him to the small terraced house we were all born in, he got out of the car and waved me away. I knew what he was doing and why he was doing it. I watched him in the mirror while driving away man it almost broke my heart.

A lot of your posts remind me of a really helplessly sad yearning for a passed time that never was.

Food / Polish Preserves, any recipes? [14]

Going to try preserving summer fruit in alcohol, anyone any ideas of good combinations of fruit and alcohol mainly to preserve the fruit.

Feedback / Read PF, but never post? [29]

Guest posters are not permitted to post on threads in the Faq/Feedback section of the forum.

Hi Udo
I didn't know that:(

I wish guests were free to post on all of its threads.

There are some Guest posters who contribute valuable information and they are greatly appreciated but unfortunately unrestricted posting would leave the forums open to abuse so I don't agree with that part.

Edit
p3undone You have enough to be thinking about don't worry.

Feedback / Read PF, but never post? [29]

Yes his threads are some of the ones I like, occasionally I try to answer but mostly I find them a good lesson.

I would like Guests to post here perhaps saying why they dont feel like posting. Or regulars could say why they first posted

That's what you should want from anything you participate in. If you read it should be challenging or at the very least entertaining.

I would love guests to post something:)

Thread title fail.

Hope not

A lot of posters started on PF by reading a thread they found on a google search, a topic they were knowledgeable about.

Fifty guests at the moment you cant all be shy

Edit

Barney,The thing I like about PF is the diversity

I like the unknown, the possibility that someone out there knows much more about a subject than the people posting.

For eg you take time on some post and someone has the ability and knowledge to make you think something else.

Why not break your duck and post here.

I would also love for commenters to tell PF not about what they don't like (although they are welcome to, but we can see these comments everyday in threads) but what they like on PF.

What do you like to read? What would you like to see more of? What would you like to see replicated or adapted on the site?

UK, Ireland / Polish immigrants in the UK - the next generation [87]

You'll find that the UK and the Irish government share border information.

Well you are persistent but still incorrect.

Did you read that link?

This initiative is aimed at putting in place standard entry requirements and enhanced electronic border systems;

Meaning that there are none at the moment and never have been any.

In a statement the governments said the deal would prevent abuses of the Common Travel Area arrangement while protecting its benefits to trade and tourism, and will target what are termed ''high-risk'' countries for bogus asylum claims.

Polish people are not illegal in Ireland or Britain, meaning that they can wander around as they like.

Now you were wrong and are still wrong.

I would stop grasping at straws if I were you

Amadan

No there are as many checks as there would be on a bus trip from London to Manchester.

Why do you assume he wouldnt have his license on him?
The guy is very well read, well educated, speaks several languages etc his only fault is that he doesn't drink.

You are wrong here.

did he not travel by ferry?

Of course he did that was the point of posting that fascinating story to demonstrate that you dont need ID to get on the ferry.

Even during the worst of The Troubles, there was never a formal immigration check on the Irish border.

Correct

Last summer one of my Polish friends went to Edinburgh by Motorbike and back the same day just for a jaunt no checks nothing, you dont need ID to go to Britain from Ireland.

Food / Where can I get the spreader/rake for making crepes & pancakes in Poland? [15]

didn't know that crepes need a stick to make them :)

I'm with you on this one

Makes it a bit easier to spread the batter thinly, not essential to have but the professionals use them for a reason!

A thick batter gives a bad pancake, the batter should move around the pan by its self.

PS the only time I've seen one being used (well it was an icing knife...the flexible ones) was when the hotplate was too hot (used for other things) and the batter "set" quickly plus you can't tilt a hotplate.

I don't think you need one at home.

Life / Let`s compare prices of services and products in Poland [359]

Oddly enough, it costs £2.70 for a bus fare round here - more expensive than London, but we have much lower wages!! <grr>

Thats because the SE of England is the most heavily subsidised part of Britain much more so than Scotland or Wales.

£6.30 ? That's 31 zł ??
In Poland cigarettes cost 12 zł, and that's a lot.
That's why i smoke russian cigarettes, 50% cheeper :)

They are more expensive now thats why I have been smoking tobaco from Spain for about a year, 50 grams for 6.50 english pounds couldnt beat it with a big stick

Travel / What do you think about hitchhikers in Poland? [33]

If you don't have money, then don't travel and stay home.

Who made you dictator?

Why judge that person looking a lift?

If you dont like hitchers dont pick them up.

Travel / What do you think about hitchhikers in Poland? [33]

They are lazy as***les, who expect to live from other peoples work.

Ranting about someone else's lifestyle is really pathetic

You dont want to give them a lift then dont

I always pick hitchers up sometimes let them stay, people did it for me so its payback time now.

History / Ukrainian-occupied Eastern Poland [135]

Whatever the ins and outs of it you can't wish for a story that never happened that is just pure fantasy.
Poland's borders are fixed.

I've never heard anyone use that term or even recognise it as a legitimate claim.
