Visa waiver program is not based on people overstaying their visas but on the percentage of refusals of visa, its means that it depends on office clerks estimation who is or who isn't likely to overstay their visa - and that is based on .......gut feeling !

So don't ask your silky questions fuzz !
Come up with some data, not hypothetical stuff, or estimations!
Because I can estimate that every fourth adult from Lithuania will or did overstay his welcome in the US of A!

However, less certain is Russian standing on the issue! Would they be willing to offer good bargain or rather went back into old track of domination and intimidation?

if the embassy in warsaw refuses about 10% of Poles who apply for a tourist visa, and of those 10%, 2% actually were planning on overstaying/never coming

Its all criteria is plainly wrong, if someone will break the law then by all means punish him but you cannot punish people because there is a possibility that they may do something unlawful !

Well, you can do it but there should be the same treatment of USA citizens on Poland's part !

Well, Ukrainian nationhood started in the XIX century! What was before is hardly Ukrainian!
Also, they have no impressive or less impressive achievements on any field really.
Ukrainian culture was a very basic one, nevertheless for a less sophisticated folks that could be quite attractive, songs and all!
Folklore of Ukraininn use to be a very attractive, something akin to the wild west tales and ballads, with the some ruffian, daring and atventuris streak, free spirit and all that :)

Naturally an Ruthenian educated peasant automatically become a Pole or Russian, then some of them discovered (somehow) that they are Ukrainians - and and an educated Ukrainian nationalist is embarrassed - no wonder he try to sell his nation as an ancient entity, rich in culture and history with plenty of great people !

Well, they could stick to the truth - that they are freshmen on the nationhood - that would be good for them !

Really, because I have been expressing constant and well thought over opinion on the certain subject ? You can disagree I grant you that but calling me all those derogatory names, only because you think that you are right -whereas in reality your argumentation even on ethical ground is shaky - I call it childish or retardation!

However you are embarrassment for your constant usage of filthy and derogatory language, for your rants, and for your attempts to shock others or anti-PC humor - all on the teenager level.

Even if you are defending Poland and sometimes score some points you ruin everything by your performance of a mentally unbalanced skunk - some may have that impression after reading one of your rants!

Clearly you are mentally unstable with clouded judgment and that impression prevails unfortunately if someone bothers to read your posts.

I-S, let's say that Vilnius was a part of Poland at the moment.

I don't have a problem with Wilno being part of Lithuania as long they treat local Poles right.

Being one of the governmental pen-pusher, you should be able to tell me, how come that number of illegals immigrants is growing even if now and then you grant them citizenship in en mass? Seems to me that is only logical to assume that majority of them is doing fine, and 90% is only my guess as you well know it. Maybe is a question of low key government workers making all calculation by themselves, maybe no top brass was really interested in the issue.
A numbers of immigrants from said country's ( visa waiver) combined, equal number of a potential immigrants from Poland !
Maybe it was easer to discriminate against one country with biggest population than against few country's, maybe Poland seemed secure in U.S. clutches when other country's of the region needed some positive U.S. influence, the cheapest way - visa free travel !

Well, I see that you are refusing to grasp the difference between a letter and spirit of the law!
Something can be wrong and criminal and something can be crime according to the law and at the same time according to common sense not being criminal at all !

Common sense says that allowing somebody to live decent for 30 years and then treat him as a criminal is plainly wrong,don't know about USA but in Europe after 20 or 25 years you cannot be punished for former deeds.

Take a Mexican guy, he comes to your bank,wants to open an account - how difficult is to check him ? Maybe, a Mexican Chickita want a driving license and she apply for one - how difficult is to check her ?

yeah, i guess that's why we still won't give poland visa free travel. we're trying to solve the problem of immigration and it's cheaper for us to simply not let people get visas in the first place than to try and chase them down once they overstay.

Ah!? You mean to say that given to other eastern European country's such as Latvia visa free travel to USA but deny it to Poland is a wise and understandable move ? Even after living in Poland for years ? Do you know something about country's of the region ?

Maybe I'm wrong and it is just misunderstanding and pure misjudgment on the part of the American decision makers, that maybe simply ignorant of the facts !

And facts are as follow :
by the decision (excluding Poland from the visa waiver program and granting it to the country;s of the region )USA achieved :
- antagonized people of the country who;s wholeheartedly trusted and liked USA
- blocked potential 3 - 4 millions immigrants form Poland at the same time opening borders for about the same or insignificantly lower number of illegal immigrants and Russian mafia!
