Food / Eating Kielbasa - how do you cook yours? [119]

Hmm...ok, each to their own :)

We are gonna have a grill by the lake so I'll leave it in the capable hands of the female staff that I teach alongside :) I'll kindly refrain from sausage handling jokes now and eagerly look forward to convincing them that I didn't get one. I have to starve myself for a few hours :)

Revealing your standards so early Pgtx, tut tut ;) ;)

Talking of tongue, um, it's tasty in Poland. I say all this with the lingering thought that I should be a vegetarian, undefying of the Bible as it is. I minimise my meat intake but it's hard to resist.

As I told my student the other day, I don't kill those animals directly, nor will I ever do so nor endorse it directly.

UK, Ireland / Are Polish people importing a new wave of ancient racism into the UK? [402]

Polish culture, for me, was meant to be pure. It's just the nature of the beast! They are homogeneous like the Borg and they don't need the social repair work like other homogeneous countries like Japan need.

That's my sociological analysis for the day :)

Biting and chewing, eh? Hmm, the sauce goes everywhere then :( Nothing like sucking it off first and then drawing out the juices (as the actress said to the bishop).

No, I'm just the product of solid Scottish training :) I'm true to my colours :)

You know what I mean :) ;) ;)

Sucking that mustard and tomato ketchup off with pleasure must paint the picture sufficiently.

Caramelised onions, can't wait :) :) I only paid 5PLN and am gonna pull a few Scottish tactics to maximise the experience :)

Maybe it's time to divorce yourself from your ass? ;) ;)

I don't care if eating sausages sometimes looks gay, the taste is a reward in itself :)

Pgtx, I'm warning you ;) ;) ;) Neck is legendary! I don't think the school's budget stretches to that :( :( BBQ is one thing that Poles excel at though there are more :)

That's worth a suspension that ;) ;) ;) You prematurely got my taste for it :) :)

Texan grills are legendary. However, they don't have the wide range of sausages that Poland does, so ha ha ;)

History / Wealth of the Polish nobility [29]

David, why on earth would such a thing interest you? The way some people get money is like black magic to me. When you consider that nobility hardly do anything to get their cash, what is there to analyse?

Love / Polish girls like fairy tales [25]

Again, it rarely happens in conservative Gliwice.

I think you interpreted nail and hammering the wrong way ;) ;)

Your friend must have been drunk not to notice that. I heard a story once where a girl got undressed while she was sleeping and some guys were, um, closely staring.

Anyway, we are drifting from the fairytale aspect of things ;)

I couldn't agree more, Dariusz. Fine, have exchanges in other countries to gain experience but keep it a temporary thing. I'm here largely for my wife as I can't say that my job is enthralling. There is a lot to see in this world so keep people moving around and don't encourage people to permanently set up camp elsewhere. I'd rather be with my family too.

Sailor Moon, that's it. My wife's favourite too :) The element you forgot to mention was the repressive one, zetigrek. You can only suppress the natural instincts of people for so long. They are like bunnies when you liberate them.

The shinjinrui (young generation) openly rebel against the rojinrui (older generation). They will do all kinds of sensuous and sexual things on those trains and people don't bat an eyelid. They are weird that way. They live by the idiom, 'the nail that sticks up gets hammered down'. They want to be homogeneous so must accept one another's foibles.

Promiscuous? Not really. She can be an exception to the rule :)

Love / What do Polish Guys Like Women to Wear? [64]

Have you been checking closely then? ;)

Hmm...it's not that way in conservative Gliwice. Maybe Kraków could be different.

I think some older guys here like their women to wear a frown :(

Wizard from the Moon :) (or was it witch?)

I just don't see eroticism as being a part of Polish life to any appreciable extent. I think it's only when a woman has one of her 'turns' that the eroticism comes out. It can change like the flick of a light switch. A quick flick at that :)

News / Russia, Poland ready agreement on visa-free travel [71]

It's a corollary of Smolensk. I would like to see more Russians here for sure. I just need my Polish citizenship and I may be able to hop across to Russia without a cumbersome visa.

Zetigrek, how do you get yours? Polish girls would likely like Hans Christian Andersen and not the Japanese anime stuff. I remember sitting next to Japanese girls on the trains there and casually glancing across at what they were ogling at. Invariably, it was penises in an artistic form. Their manga is quite, um, creative :) They have direct ties with eroticism whereas I don't see Polish women in that light at all.

Love / What do Polish Guys Like Women to Wear? [64]

That's true, M-G :)

Southern, the cleavage garments are nice right enough. Oh, the tight pants really show off their figures. Couple that with a tanned stomach and you have a stunning look :)

Fat and ugly? I wouldn't say so many Polish women fit that description at all. Some of the dress sense leaves a bit to be desired but generally it's pretty decent.
