UK, Ireland / British men don't really like women [137]

That's a pretty weird question. Whoever said it wasn't 'OK'?

You used the words "Gammon Central",for non English readers this is a term of abuse used by Leftie Liberal types to describe middle aged Brexit supporting patriots.

Why did you use that term?

Your abuse of The English seems to be becoming something of a habit.

The Royal Society of St George is an English patriotic society established in 1894 to encourage interest in the English way of life, and English customs and traditions.

Why is it OK for the Irish,Welsh and Scots to do this but not The English?

Why do you hate The English so much?

News / Ultra nationalist protest at death camp in Poland - serious mistake? [146]

90% Polish Jews perished in extermination, while ethnic Polish losses were about 10% of the population

Whilst I sympathise with your argument, your maths is all wrong.
You say 90% of jews died,so how many is that?
You say 10% of Poles died,so how many is that?
I reckon that's roughly 3 million each, which is where the original 6 million figure came from.

I know my post will probably make no difference, but I will make it anyway.
This argument between Catholic Poles and Jewish Poles has been on going since 1945.
There was good and bad stuff on both sides.
Before commenting on it,you really need to do a ton of research.
Without that,your opinion is worthless.
The only thing I will say is that Jewish suffering has made Polish suffering invisible.

News / Polish Independence Day March in Warsaw. Is it going to be the biggest march yet? [1530]

They won't be able to influence the EU from within anymore, and with manufacturers abandoning the UK, what's left?

We didn't influence Europe from within before 1973,but only a fool would say we didn't influence Europe.
As for manufacturers abandoning The UK,we have not been a major manufacturer for decades.
The fact is that over 90% of British businesses don't even trade with Europe.
By the way, just so everyone knows,Delph is a Scot, one of those that despises The English.....he has an axe to grind.....

The UK who is currently guided by an isolationist approach, is fully occuppied with Brexit and whose voice will soon be diminished in Europe?

You have a very strange world view.
The UK leaving The EU is not isolationist,it is exactly the opposite.
As for The UK's voice being diminished in Europe, that is pathetic.Just because we leave The EU?
The UK has always and will continue to have a very loud voice in Europe, that will never change.
You over estimate both the importance and the longevity of The EU.

Study / Expat kids in schools in Poland [77]

he kids are 3 and 1 right now. The move would likely be in two years.

So they will be 5 and 3 when you move.
They will have no problems at all.
The older child will catch up with The Polish kids in less than a year and then help to teach the younger one.

I wasn't speaking to Poles in English.I can speak Polish.
I was speaking to my wife,who can't.

Polonia / Pregnant Polish woman stabbed in Germany, loses baby [77]

In with honest politicians to begin with.Ones that actually listen to the people who voted for them rather than furthering their own careers and feathering their own nests.

That would be a start.

Polonia / Where do you live, in Poland or abroad? [28]

Plus, they wanted to watch their grandchildren grow up.

You have hit the nail on the head there.Children and Grandchildren are the biggest pulling points.
Of all The Poles in The UK now,the ones with kids in their teens who have lived here most of their lives will find that their kids have no desire to return to Poland..So their parents will probably stay too.But if grandchildren come along,it's game over.

Polonia / Where do you live, in Poland or abroad? [28]

should always be happy where you are - otherwise, what's the point

Very wise words.I have family who have returned to the country of their birth only to find it had changed so much that they were unhappy there.

By the time they returned to England they found it so changed that they felt like foreigners here too.

You are a victim of believing stereotypes.
Which says little for your intelligence and judgement.

@TheOther "The Brits were at war with almost every country on the planet at some point in time,"
Yeah, because we could and we were top dog back then.
You may never have been born if it wasn't for The Brits.....LOL!!
America might have been French or Spanish if it wasn't for The Brits.
Imagine that????
Britain was never compatible with Europe because we love our freedom too much.....

@Bratwurst Boy "The Brits ignored already Churchill who advised and cheered on a European Union."

You misrepresent our great leader,he did indeed cheer on a European Union, but for the continent.
Not for Britain.
He never wanted us to be part of it.
He wanted it so that Germany and France could sort themselves out.
And as usual,he was right.

I don't think anyone holds younger Germans responsible for the actions of their ancestors.
But,and it is a big but, when they ignore how their adverseries then helped them rebuild their nation,it is like a slap in the face to us.

This is the "German arrogance" I have spoken of before.
It needs to stop.
Germans feel guilt and they feel they are still being punished for it 3 generations later.
Understandable that they react.
But they need to reconcile this with the fact that some countries did help you to rebuild.

@Bratwurst Boy
"But their actions are understandable human, I think. The wish for revenge must have been enormous"
And yet you ignore The British, who should have wished as much revenge as The French.....
Instead you praise The Americans..,,,who were,as you say,detached...but you fail to recognise British restraint and inherent humanity....
