USA, Canada / Moved back from Canada to Poland:). Here are the reasons why. [868]

I have to explain that I had to meet one in order to describe him. I finally did, although his character and behaviour will be a compilation to a larger or lesser degree of other men I have met recently.

Hussy!!!! gid on ye;)

News / Pubs in Poznan kick out Roma? [256]

I saw enough Poles on trams begging for money and using their kids to do it to warrant the fact that this was not a gypsi problem, but rather a poverty problem. Still it was always labelled as a gypsi problem, strange.

Everyone else who would screen bloody murder:

Shame, cos it seems some posters on this site would prefer to act like the victim but still claim the camps were for them only.

So can we say clearly that racism towards the Roma is completely acceptable / tolerated by all Poles?

Of course not, some have brains.

Ok, so what are the conspiracy theories?

Before I have even said anything you have already discredited what I "may say". Cheers i thought educating you might have been a little tricky, but by your conspiracy comment you have already shown how single minded you are.

Yeahh, not letting disruptive people in a restaurant is exactly like pogrom. Did you even bother to skim a history book?

Doubt it, this just highlights the problem Poland has with anyone but themselves. As I've said many times before, given Poland's history you would think they would be more tolerant. Unfortunately it seems that some Poles credit the Nazi's views far too well.

Law / Online Polish banking (in English) [27]

Which banks in Poland have online banking in English?

Deutsche has the best online service in my opinion.

Real Estate / Where to live, where to avoid in Krakow [28]

I don't believe that Scottish cities are extremely unsafe so if it can be compared to Glasgow i am not afraid to move to Nowa Huta. ;)

Strange you say that as Glasgow has the highest murder rate in Europe.

It would be very beneficial to Wrocław.

Dont send your shite to krk!!!! ;)

Great! I'm looking forward! :)

Many others will be too ;)

Real Estate / Where to live, where to avoid in Krakow [28]

I also want to move to Krakow because i found an interesting vacancy.

Oh please do Jarnowa, pleaaaaaaase do, I know many folk who would be interested in your opinions.

Is Nowa Huta really bad? Because i saw a cheap flat!

Most dangerous district in the city. High crime rates. Though I loved living there when I first came to Poland. Though I lived in Glasgow most of my life;)

Life / Are Poles bankrupt? [35]

Just a question. What do you think?

Not a chance. Poland's economy is far too stable at the moment. Though the UK (though not Scotland's) is tittering on recession again gpd of -0.5 for the last quarter of last year.

Life / Are Poles bankrupt? [35]

Also: do you think in the future Poland will be in even bigger financial trouble then Greece?

No, Poland hasn't is no way near and actually is outdoing many of the more "economised" countries in Europe.

but how much they are in debt?

I doubt very much since Polish banks are very strict with who they lend money or give credit to.

UK, Ireland / ENGLISHMAN JAILED FOR MURDER OF POLISH GIRLFRIEND [47]

being run by Jews for Jews and then being hermetically sealed under Communism hasn't helped enlighten them?

Enlighten them with becoming modern day Jew haters? Poles for all the atrocities that has happened in their country should be the embodiment of tolerance.

Life / The rising costs of food and fuel in Poland and the effects on disposable income/economy [177]

The rule of thumb used to be around 15% - 20% cheaper in Poland depending on the exchange rate. The last couple of years its been all over the place. I remember Feb last year the Zloty hit 4.15 to the £1.

Ah the good olde days when I could take 7pln for my £1, shame those days are in the past. Where is Milky when I need some hope of an impending economic meltdown in Poland, I've been waiting years for this to happen :D

Life / The rising costs of food and fuel in Poland and the effects on disposable income/economy [177]

4.95 PLN = £1.07 or 1.27 EUR or $ (actually forget the US gallon)

So only about 5-10p cheaper per litre than here in the UK. Though I have seen some stupid prices such as £1.56per litre.

Is yours supercharged? Do you know if you can run LPG in a supercharged engine?

Yes they can, but if it's not done properly then it can be extremely dangerous. We converted our old Excaliburs and Tiffanys to LPG.

USA, Canada / Think you're Polish (and live in the USA)? [161]

because hes not British i think, he likes to keep his true nationality a secret for some reason.

He once stated he was from Australia a few years ago.
