USA, Canada / Differences in How Polish People Raise a Child and How Americans Raise a Child [149]

Are you sure you're speaking for all women on this one?

there is a different bond women share with their children, one which cant be understood
by a man because he doesnt carry this child 9 months , he doesnt feel life growing
inside him, and for whatever reasons, we are born with instincts that hold true
if someone even comes close to our child/children, we have built in explosion devices
that will go off any given moment if our child is hurt/sad/something wrong.

The bond that fathers have with their children is so much different, and the fathers
generally have that ( let them be attitude) or they will be ok attitude.
but often, mothers can tell when something is wrong, ( instinct) a feeling we get
maybe has something to do with our psych, how we click with our children.

its very strong and unbreakable.

Krysias husband was way overboard, he was apparently immature, because
I have not seen this type of behavior ( before ever) but I have seen men jealous
of their wives ( and other men) who try to weasel their way into their lives.

thats a whole other issue.

I dress my kids warm and I grew up american, even though my parents grew up
in a polish setting.

if the baby is cold, that might explain the layers. kids dont always feel it, but if they
cant talk, how can they tell you if they are cold or hot? if she feels that its cold
maybe it is ( since she holds the child alot)

as for kids having bottles till they are 4-5, I think they should learn to drink from a cup
and if they do want a bottle, give them one without the nipple ( time to break that
habit).

pacifiers are ok , better then thumbs- I had a friend who didnt use a pacifier
she still sucks her pinky finger and she is 42 years old. it made her teeth go
out ward from sucking.. I think this is the reasons for getting the thumb suckers and
pacifiers out of the mouth at a decent age because you want your smile to be straight
and if you dont break the habits when your young ( as its painfully truth) some dont
want to break those habits and its not something I would want to be caught in
public doing if I was a thumb sucker.

not good for jobs either.. lol

Love / Polish girls attitudes towards sex. [568]

Not at all, most of us actually have a sense of humour you know..

good answer :)

I like being the agressor .. alot of women do, so if someone like tornado did this

i would laugh and then walk away

then I would move on, or move in.. depends :) but he would miss out on a nice
gal if he walked away.

Offended no, embarrassed perhaps, how often dose that happen. Usually it's us doing all the hard work so this would make a nice change

hmmm, shy but smart.. not all women are out to take everything you have, its good
to be cautious, if she senses interest, she will add more humor to this conversation.

you could be the lucky one..

I used a pick up line on my husband.... but he used one on me too.

Love / What do Polish Guys Like Women to Wear? [64]

Do Polish men think ugg boots are ugly? And seriously, what the hell should I wear then?!!!!

Those look better with a tight pair jeans and nice warm top/ they are more of a
jean boot then skirt boot.

I would go with other high boots for skirts, those match the outfit better, if they
are high enough you dont even need to wear the leggins.

it sounds like he finds you attractive, but is only finding a nice way to tell you that
he really likes the other shoes better, he doesnt like them as much as you do, but
we as women know what is comfortable and not, so its preference really, but I agree
that those type of boots would look better with jeans or leggins, but not skirts.

ps.. maybe hes a foot man.. lol just make sure the toes are polished and pretty.

Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

i used to ask my ex why he didn't buy me flowers and his answer was always 'because they die'. boyfriends die too, it just takes them longer than flowers.

LMAO... I think they kill anything thats left for them if they dont show some type
of caring.

hang on a minute, 'she has to give him pleasure' i thought sex was a two way thing, your both meant to give each other enjoyment?? I mean if somebody is a selfish lover then that is apart from the rest of the stuff you mentioned above. Any girl who thinks that its a one way street when it comes to sex needs educating!!!!

Well , its supposed to be, but its not always that way, I speak from talks with other
females and males alike and also from past experience, I think everyone can say
they have had a selfish lover, thats kinda of what ruins the relationship.

The funny part is, the next person that comes along and takes that person away
you dont know if you want to shake their hand for taking them off your hands or
give them pity because you know what they are in for :)

Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

my dear Patrycja19, i was not talking about every woman on the face of the earth,

my dear torny, I was not talking about you only either.

so dont take my post personal. it wasnt meant or directed at you :)
I find you the most agreeable.. wonder where I get that from? lol

Do you really think i'm the sort of person to box all women together with the same label on??

nope.. actually, you bring discussion to the table,. I realize there are negatives in both
genders, so its not like this isnt truth, but as justy says, and you agreed on certain
quotes, that a person is negative when something happens, perhaps the guy spent
all night out.. or perhaps he didnt buy her flowers and she thought valentines day
meant something to him just as much as her, perhaps the games he watches with the
guys are more important then her at the moment and hes oblivious to it!!

so she might feel like shes ignored, but when its time to roll around in the sheets,
she has to give him pleasure when hes spending time with others?

lots of things cause negative.

anyway, will add to this later, off to work I go!!

hugs to yas.. :)

Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

Yet, during that one lovely week of the month, I may have a tendency of growing fangs.

Men have this too. but they go hide when it happens.. lol

johncardwell
Some great points

JustysiaS

absolutely spot on

I think you have valid points, surroundings have alot to do with it too.

its kinda unfair in a sense to just point out women in general are negative.

if men keep thinking this way, I am pretty sure women will think its negative
to think so negative about women in general, even though women in general
a great majority dont think negative, but yet are thought to think negative so
why think at all??

just do it!! :)

Genealogy / Changing my name to a Polish one [35]

People who are so hung up over ethnic/national ties are kind of pathetic in their pretentiousness, in my opinion

And again, Opinions are like arseholes... everyone has one!

Whether every single one of your ancestors was born and raised in Poland, it doesn't change the fact that you were born and raised in America

WOW< no shyt sherlock.. was that a educated guess?

If you like Poland, then that's fine. Having some Polish "blood" doesn't make you any more or less Polish than anyone other non-Polak.

yes it does, Everyone here identifys by some ethnic background.. and
those who arent ethnically mixed by blood, and only have one ethnic background
a good portion of these families still practice the old countrys ways and do all the
same things they would have in the old country, same traditions etc.

if this were the case, why do so many different ethnically born Americans have
festivals celebrating their heritage? Polish, German, Muslim, japanese, chinese, korean,
Italian,greek, the list goes on.
This is generally a really silly thing I've seen in Americans. They tend to over-emphasize their long lost irrelevant heritage and ethnic ties, so then they go about calling themselves "Irish" or "Polish" or whatever they feel like,

yeah and you stem from apes, so why dont you take your hairy arse and go shave

I know I am certainly sick of idiots thinking they know everything about us Americans
and WTF do you care if we want to do any type of searching for our family? does it
bother you that much that you have to shoot us down for it??

what a shytload of crap, generalize then shoot down the Americans, I hope you sit
on a large Potatoe, but then you would prob enjoy it cause your nose is so far up
your own arse.. you cant see straight.

I love this forum, and every time, you see grown adults always cutting someone
down and yeah I could ignore you, here I end up saying things I dont want to say, or
mean, but then again its my right to say my piece.. same as the rest.

whatever..

Genealogy / Changing my name to a Polish one [35]

The reason is because I was adopted, and learned of my Polish heritage (and Finnish, Croatian, Slovenian and Roma ["Gypsy"])

why not focus on finding the name picked for you by your real parents?
and find out more about all your heritage.

your not one nationality.

I can see where this would be hard, both my parents were polish and all four
grandparents so I have no other proof of other nationality, even though I thought
I did, when I actually found documents. everything points to poland.

now before poland was a country.. or long before.. when we all were running around
in loin cloths, and no tops on. I dont think anyone cared about nationality, only
survival and making babies :) LOL

Love / Are Polish Women cold and aloof? [249]

Very well said :)

Select Few think just because in their travels they meet up with some really
different people , that all are like this, and its not true, just like when I see
all the posts about the british, I take in their personality only, its not fair to
pass judgement on so many with experience of so few.

Southern I think your the only one whos having a time thinking outside your
box, you repeatedly talk european this and that.. its what you have known
all your life so no one can fault you for that, but dont fault us for being who
we are too.

and where do you live shopgirl? which polish city u chose?

hey, the thread is about Polish women being cold and aloof!!
does it really matter where she lives?

I dont think they are cold and aloof, I think they just dont take nobodys crap!
people are quick to judge these days and mistake those stern looks for something
else, the truth is, you cant take advantage of us and if you do shame on you
2nd time it happens shame on me!!

USA, Canada / How to get Drivers license in IL without social security? [96]

I have no sympathy for you

sledz, cut some slack, Like I said, alot of people read this stuff, hes in high school
and maybe his father came over a long time ago, kinda like our grandparents did?
ehhh? take these issues up with the local congressman not a high school teen.
I really do hate how you have to have a SS to get a license but that's how life is,unfair.

everyone has to have one, no matter what.. it is used to identify you..
in some points sledz is right on saying we cant have people come from other
countries without some type of identification.
when both my girls were born, I went right away to get social security cards
and recently, my daughter needed to have this for her license.. so now
shes on the road ( everyone please restrict your activity to the sidewalks :) LOL )
all kidding aside.. its up to your parents to get these things started..

Love / Are 98% of young Polish girls emotionally unstable and mood changing? [191]

Right Rag, I don't see why everyone is being so mean to this poor guy.

ok Randal.. I try to help the guy, but I will put forth some more info that might
be helpful insight.

you know, it isnt the polish thing.. its just a age thing.. women at 18-24
dont know what they want.. at times they think they want a man and relationships
but then someone starts to get close, its scary , some might not have actually had
a relationship ( those you have encountered) and some might also have strict
upbringing, maybe still living at home, ( anythings possible) so this might be why
you dont get calls back ( just a thought)

men are like this too, who the heck at 18-24 is looking to settle down?
men can be the same way, its a two way street, alot of people out there,
18-24 are still going to college, and out clubbing to vent or relax.. least thats
how I always thought of it.. girls hit on guys , guys hit on girls.. it was rare to
see couples, if you did they didnt last long if they went together to the bars.

maybe this is why.. who knows.

I wouldn't talk about saggy asses.

Harry:
In my experience Polish women have much less saggy tits than English women.

yeah, I am sure the saggy balls and penis dont do much for the women in Europe
either.. or the shriveled small penis which couldnt produce or even be productive
since were on the subject of female genitals and I think British women shouldnt
even have to experience this, nor should polish women as its sad sad thing that
nature does this to a man!!

dont you think so ladies??

Love / Are 98% of young Polish girls emotionally unstable and mood changing? [191]

Patrycia 19 you HAVE NO IDEA HOW I AM.

you are right.. so why would you ask any of us to help you figure out your love life
if u give people such a short version of your life? all involving the clubs and girls?

what do you expect? what do you want us to say?

what kind of lies or truth would you like to hear? you say your used to it, but if
someone gives you a slight bit of critism you get upset..

you dont want to change ? or you do? either way something has to change, if
the polish women you encounter are not going to change, dont you think maybe
something might need to be changed by you? after all your the one who controls
what you do in your life.. maybe you should go to a library more and a club less?

only offering suggestions..

I don't pick up in clubs.I use my killer eyes and grab them on the street to my cave.

translation- he prob throws them in the back seat of his honda(aka cave) against their will !

lol

i do not like the taste of a girl who is drunk.

then you shouldnt be in clubs lookin for one.

its funny how you say all this, but I could and would almost bet you are a flashy
type person, who wears his shirt unbuttoned so that you look suave and slick
your hair back.. and prob flash you money in front of people..

you have to change things if you want something to become real.. your just as
plastic and people see that.. maybe you dont feel like it, but if you spend all your
time in clubs that says alot!

good luck.
