Love / Why are Polish women so sexy ? [390]

“Nothing ages as poorly as a beautiful woman’s ego. When you have used your beauty to get around, it’s like having extra cash in your pocket. I was so used to walking down the street and having the young guys passing by at least give me a flicker of a look. But once you’re over 40, you become invisible. You’re a brick in the building and it’s sad. It just feels like the sun went down a little bit. It got a little cloudy outside.” ..................Former model Paulina Porizkova,

History / Maus by Vladek Spiegelman - animals to represent Poles? [68]

I was referring to the many Poles who hid Jews or helped Jews in some manner who were caught and murdered without anyone being aware of their bravery. No one except the executing Nazis du jour were there as witnesses.

Many real heroes have not and cannot be acknowledged for their bravery. That's because they were murdered for helping Jews. The unknown partisans cannot speak and their stories are lost to history. Perhaps a special memorial to these 'unknown Polish heroes' should be built and acknowledged.

Love / Filipina married a Polish man, need more advice [90]

"my Polish bf lie to me, he told me that he was divorced and no kids but turns up he has kids and wife and living in the same house and not divorce."

Cut him some slack. He honestly forgot he was married and had kids. That's because when he is with you - nothing else matters.

This condition affects many men who leave their homes for extended periods of time. It's normal.
Don't worry about it because when he is with his wife and kids then he forgets about you too.
See? It's a wash.

Oh this condition is called; Romantis Hornymantis. There is no cure.

Life / Is parity the answer for Polish women? [262]

There are more women now in management positions than men.

Can't be, women are "oppressed".

Women are also graduating high school and attending university at a rate much higher than men..

Can't be, women are "oppressed".We can go on and on in this vein showing the many advantages western society gives women, and yet, the shrill victimology rhetoric continues to pour forth from the National Organization of Women (NOW) and many other womens' groups, not to mention the special womens' departments in both private and public sectors.

Bringing this to the light of day is "politically incorrect" because the "strong" and "independent" and "empowered" women are too sensitive to criticism.

"It would be hard to find a single example in history in which a group that cast more than 50% of the vote got away with calling itself the victim.Women are the only 'oppressed' group to share the same parents as the 'oppressor'; to be born into the middle class and upper class as frequently as the oppressor; to own more of the culture's luxuary items than the 'oppressor', the only 'oppressed' group whose 'unpaid labor' enables them to buy most of the sixty billion dollars worth of cosmetics sold each year; the only 'oppressed' group that spends more on haigh-fashion, brand name clothing than their 'oppressors,' the only 'oppressed' group that watches more TV during every time category than their 'oppressors', and the only 'oppressed' group who spends 65% of all consumer dollars." So let me get this straight. Movies that show thin 100 lb women beating up 200+ lb men are made for "dads" as you put it and these "dads" are titillated by movie reviews.

equality is never what mouthy minorities really want. Ever.

Women are the only majority (51%) that considers itself a minority. (think about that)

That's how far backwards society has leaned to please them.

As to the trucking example; only when these loudmouth women realized that they'd be on the road, sometimes a week at a time; away from their families, having to help repair their rigs, etc, etc, did reality hit them. Otherwise they were just naive brainwashed females who thought their demand of equal pay looked good on paper.

I wish I could recall the trucking firm that was being sued about 25 years ago. Seems it was out of Texas. The women working in the offices wanted parity of pay with the men who drove the trucks. They banded together and claimed that their job description was comparable to the mens'.

The ACLU was just getting involved in this when the men decided to apply for the womens' office jobs and demanded that half the long-haul truckers be women and half the office workers be men. Now that's real equality.

The women immediately dropped their ridiculous complaint. That's when the rubber hit the road!

News / Smoking ban in Polish bars and restaurants (AT LAST!) [400]

From "The Cigar" by Barnaby Conrad III

"Queen Victoria was a virulent anti tobacco lobbyist, and when she died in 1901 her son and heir, Edward VII, who was an avid cigar smoker, gathered his intimate friends at Buckingham Palace. The men were waiting in a large drawing room when the new king entered with a lit cigar in hand, "Gentleman," he proclaimed, "you may smoke."

Are you troubled by something? The cigar dissolves it. Are you subject to aches and pains or bad temper? The cigar will change your disposition. ....Smoking a cigar puts one in a frmae of mind to dispense with unpleasant thoughts. ....don't you sometimes have some pleasant remembrance or consoling thought? there is simply no comparison between my wife and I. Yes, we are married but isn't it funny that it becomes 50/50 when it comes to entitlements yet is 90/10 when it comes to outgoings/expenses?

Without batting an eye, women believe the above scenario to be fair. Pseudo equality rears its ugly head. What it really is ---is Eeeeekwallety. As several women have told me in one form or another, " my money is all mine and his money is half mine."

I'd say the man is expected to pay more without question.

Ah, my friend, but I do question it. Therein lies the rub.

who is going to name the spiteful girls who make false rape accusations?

Feminist organizations fight tooth and nail protecting women, even those who make false accusations. Remember that quote from the dean of students?

I like reading your posts Zimmy,

Aw shucks, thank you.

one trick pony

No, because feminist thought and philosophy has ingrained itself in almost all aspects of life; academia, law, special programs, shelters, advertising, sit-coms, etc. Even movies show 90 lb women beating up 250 lb men, all for the sake of equality of course.

This should help answer your question on rape accusations. Real equality would protect the accused but as it is now even the false accuser is protected while the innocent accused is not.

Even in sports women get paid the same for performing worse than men. In Chicago, we just had a marathon and the female winner received the same amount of money as the fastest male despite finishing behind many male runners. So much for 'real equality'.

zimmy for someone who claims he gets layed all the time, you sure are uptight.

You must be confusing me with Southern.

that was supposed to be a joke

Better work on your humor.

I dont listen to this stuff, so I dont care of others do

You have been influenced by it nevertheless; it shows in your reticence to acknowledge that which is presented in front of you. But many other women buy into feminist hate and unfortunately that counts.

Are u kidding me? so your saying men dont get away with being sexists?

Not when it comes to law. Men get sued, companies get sued. I gave you a specific example, one of many which would not be tolerated if the sexes were reversed. You don't seem to grasp the big picture.

stalking the woman of the house practically in the commercial.. so that isnt sexist?

Two things; first, almost all commercials which show someone who is stupid or needs instruction will show a male. That's because our feminized culture dare not insult women in this era of political correctness. The women are inevitably the smart ones often making faces at their stupid male partners. As to the mop commercial, it's a male mop stalking a female who is wise enough to change products and she shakes her head at the dumb male mop.

I enjoyed our fairly robust discussions but I really don't see any point in perpetuating our debate.

I understand, so I'll put my artillery of anti male laws and customs aside. They are difficult to argue against.

I again appreciate the fact that you've given me food for thought and for what it's worth, you've made me think deeply, particularly about the nuances of subjectivity/objectivity.

Well, I do spike my "food for thought" with lots of salt, pepper and garlic. I'm just a spicy kinda guy. I was interested, however, in your take on the guy who flew Quantas airlines and was asked to move because a young boy was in a seat next to him.

And I really can't stand Ms Greer either

Can you believe this ultra feminist posed nude? Years ago I was shown several pictures of her in 'all her glory' and after seeing them I didn't want to have sex for a month.

There isn't enough space to chase all the 'what ifs' you (Ozi Dan) constantly engage in and I'm not a man who goes on wild goose chases so I'll make this as easy and simple as possible. Western culture lives in a feminized society where much law and culture discriminates in favor of women. Before addressing additional examples which I will provide, let us stick to those you've already ignored.

* Executive Order 11126, which established a committee and council on the status of women. Please note that no corresponding committee or council on the status of men exists.

thecre.com/fedlaw/legal6/eo11126.htm

* Executive Order 13506, which established a White House Council on Women and Girls. Please note that no corresponding White House Council on Men and Boys exists.

dot.gov/wg/spelman.html

* The Selective Act, which forces men to register for the draft, or they will be fined and imprisoned. Women do not need to register.

* The Violence Against Women Act,(VAWA) which only protects women from domestic violence and leaves men with no where to turn if they are stuck in an abusive relationship.

* Rape Shield Acts, which only protect the identities of female rape victims. There has been an epidemic of false accusations by women in recent years and many times even then their identity has been protected. Some women are serial false rape accusers yet feminists demand that their past cannot be used against them.

mediaradar.org (Lots of information here, dare to read some of it).

* The so-called neutral laws are not enforced when women deny visitation rights yet men often go to jail for not paying child support. I suggest that a father in a child's life is more important than money.

The above is only the tip of the misandrist legal iceberg and after you comment specifically on these I'll be delighted to move on and add several more examples. I have dozens.

The fact that there are laws that exist for women only is de facto proof of inequality. Privilege is not equality.
In the next segment we'll move on to such areas as lower standards for women in the military, more money spent on womens' health issues as well as the many additional social services for women only.

Here's a quick freebie from Australia; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline_sex_discrimination_policy_controversy

Innocent men are considered guilty even when they are traveling.

Well Zimmy i would think you prefer to eat female over male..

Not if they smell fishy.

why would i let some of these so called
men haters even influence me..

You miss the point yet again. They may not influence you although your defensive replies and lack of addressing the issue specifically belies that. Besides. these feminists write books, lecture in academic classrooms, hold gatherings, etc, so they do influence lots of naive women.

men talk about women, women talk about men..

So you don't know the difference between people merely talking about each other and those who have an agenda supported by law and culture?

When an editor of a womens' magazine writes that " 'man-hating' is an honorable and viable political act" lots of mushy minded young women take her seriously. When an assistant dean of students says, "men who are unjustly accused of rape can sometimes gain from the experience" then this person in power has a big influence with her students. When a celebrated professor bars males from her classes (for 20 years), what does that say about academia? No male teacher would even be allowed to be that 'sexist', yet Ms Mary Daly got away with it because of the feminization of academia, etc, etc. Do you understand the difference?

Germaine Greer taught me that.

I understood your reference (as you knew I would). Here's something else the infamous Ms Greer said; "The idea of the ideal man is a woman with a d!ck" Is that why you like her?

Yet, look how influential these mad women have been.

f your a speaker, show us some proof of your work

Who said I'm a speaker? You women always seem to make things up out of nothing.

who are these feminists?

A small sample of influencial feminist leaders and some of their statements;

"I feel that 'man-hating' is an honorable and viable political act, that the oppressed have a right to class-hatred against the class that is oppressing them." -- Robin Morgan, Ms. Magazine Editor.

“Feminism, Socialism, and Communism are one in the same, and Socialist/Communist government is the goal of feminism.” ...............All sex, even consensual sex between a married couple, is an act of violence perpetrated against a woman." - Catharine A. MacKinnon. Big time lecturer at feminist gatherings and university professor.

"All men are rapists and that's all they are" -- Marilyn French, Authoress; (later, advisoress to Al Gore's Presidential Campaign.)

"Men who are unjustly accused of rape can sometimes gain from the experience."
Catherine Comin, Vassar College. Assistant Dean of Students.

"The institution of sexual intercourse is anti-feminist".
Ti-Grace Atkinson, Amazon Odyssey.

I won't bother to quote Mary Daly although she frequently spoke against men but it is interesting that when she was a professor at Boston College she would not admit males into her classes (and because of "PC" she got away with it). Imagine the opposite happening?

Never!

I hope the above educated and influential feminists have given you an idea of what the leadership of this socialist cult is about. I have many more ridiculous anti male statements from other feminist leaders if you request it. There is no denying this misandry.

News / Smoking ban in Polish bars and restaurants (AT LAST!) [400]

why not ban smoking entirely?

....and we must limit your cheese intake. Ice cream cannot be eaten more than once-a-week, and while the bureaucrats are at it, since they know what's good for us, a limit on the amount of kilometers you drive should be imposed; to lessen pollution.

This is very simple, actually, which is why politicians don't understand it. Anyone who wants to open a smoking restaurant or bar should have the 'freedom' to do so. Anyone who wants to ban smoking in their establishment should also have the 'freedom' to do so. Let the people go to any place of choice they want to go to. What's the problem?

Love / Been seeing a great guy from Poland.. but there are issues with his ex. [18]

He's funny, smart, responsible, loving.

So far you are describing me.

head over hills

"head over heels" (that's always been an odd saying since it would be more correct to state, 'heels over head' to express something like 'upside down n love. In 1864 Thomas Carlyle used the phrase correctly in his "History of Frederick the Great")

his ex uses their daughter to get in the way of our relationship.

the ex- was in his apartment,

Those comments look very related. Was the ex there to pick up the kid? Are you (perhaps) a bit jealous of the attention he gives his child?

He's shut me out now, and won't talk to me.

Are you the one who began the argument? Were you more emotional than him?

I have the feeling his ex is threating from keeping the child from him if he continues with our relationship.

She can't legally. ... unless there is something in your past which can hurt him.

should I just wait....

Write him a letter expressing your sincere feelings (no e-mail which is too impersonal).
Attempt to be the woman you want him to think you are (that last one is the most difficult).

please dont say that men are without emotions

You must have missed my post just above yours where I stated: "Of course everyone is influenced but there are degrees of it, as in virtually everything else."

seriously.. zimmy, you say you believe in the equal for both,

I merely challenge the incredible amounts of hypocrisy that manifests itself in feminist leadership which includes academia. None of my comments come close to the intense male-bashing (which I've chronicled and quoted in these various threads) by feminists - not even close.

you just wont see past your own nose.

My nose isn't that big but I realize that you still don't 'get it'. That's okay, as evidenced by male correspondence here, many people now speak openly in ways that they never have in the past. The worm is turning and many women like you don't like it. Blame your feminist sisters for that. Most women are are too stubborn (or spoiled princesses) to comprehend how much devastation feminists have caused. I suggest you pick up Warren Farrell's book, "The Myth of Male Power"( I know you won't).

So perhaps this guys blog will give you some inkling of the modern male's condition and thoughts; but it's doubtful you have an open enough mind for that.

I disagree with his "hate" which he admits to, but I have empathy with his experience which so many women cannot fathom.

As is seen here and everywhere else, the world of fashion is pretty much a female thing. Of course that's okay, it's only sexist when men dominate some industry.
