Work / Diversity in Poland especially in workplace [90]

Yes, it does. Have you been to a public beach like the one in Chicago? That's your random and voluntary diversity.
Racism is when, recently, a meeting was declared off limits to whites. So much for diversity.

For instance, one guy that we're considering now has experience in some solid international schools in Africa.

You are still talking about the voluntary type. Leftists never do. They want compulsory type - or else. Which always means quotas and affirmative action.

The end effect is that when I need a doctor, I practice my own affirmative action: 40 to 50 year-old, US-born, US-educated, while male. Period. No exceptions other than emergencies.

After you stop throwing up in disgust, I will be happy to explain why.

There are two kinds of diversities: random and enforced. The random kind just happens. The enforced type - x percent or else - does the exact opposite of what you just claimed. It reduces the pool of good candidates because the skin pigment is first and ahead of what's in the head.

Also, to a typical moron liberal - I apologize for the redundancy - diversity NEVER means the diversity of opinions. Only skin pigmentation, reproductive organs, and sexual orientation. The ultimate liberals' dream: a disabled, black, transgender "woman" with a Spanish name and AIDS. I forgot gay.

Non-whites who take over the middle and upper management of companies and their Human Resource departments

Perfect point. I used to deal with a company in Schaumburg, Illinois, owned by an Indian. A couple of hundred employees - only the receptionist was non-Indian.

History / Poland and Israel getting back on the right foot...maybe [132]

He most certainly would not be happy in Israel. While I have all the respect for the Israelis, I have none for the pacifist, weak, spineless, Democrat (70%) voting, leftist, pro-abortion and wall-hating Jews in the US. That last trait is especially weird considering how beautiful and effective the wall in Israel has been.

History / Positive portrayal of Poles in world`s cinema and TV [18]

What's Jewish origin? Why would a man's religion be a factor?
Am I of the Catholic origin? In what context could I say that I am of the Catholic origin and still make sense?

...you are no more anti-Jewish than I am anti-Polish.

Jewish and Polish are not members of the same logical set. That sentence should be:

...you are no more anti-Jewish than I am anti-Catholic.

News / Hollywood's War with Poland. [150]

And it is nothing like someone asking where you are from and you saying 'Catholic'. don't be silly.

It's you who has the silliness issue.
Find me one known case of a Jew born and raised in Poland who said, "I am Polish" in response to "what is your nationality?" I was asked that question many times and not once would I say that I was a Christian.

no one ever describes them as simply being Hungarian, French, German, Dutch, Belgian, Greek, Italian, etc.

Great point. It's like me being asked where I am from and me saying that I am a Catholic. Makes your head spin.

History / Why is Poland weaker than Russia? [390]

Thanks for that dose of reality. Attacking foreigners is especially attractive in any country as they are not very likely to show up for the trial even if the cops locate the perp - which is very unlikely. Only in the US we are stupid enough to spend 150 grand investigating a small scratch on guy who went out at 2 am to get a sandwich.

History / Why is Poland weaker than Russia? [390]

Personally, I am pissed off about the low ebb of the US and Poland's relations with Russia. It was my plan to go to Moscow and take a ride on their Trans Siberian train. Maybe even stop at a couple of cities along the way. Now, with either the US and the Polish passport on me, I would be nuts to do it. I wonder if me claiming I am Polish, not an American, would make them stop beating the crap out of me or not charge me with espionage.

History / Why is Poland weaker than Russia? [390]

Poland shouldn't submit to Russia's false historical narrative which goes against geopolitical interests of Poland.

What false narrative? Russia already admitted, as you wrote.
Not inviting Russia to a commemorative event was as dumb as it gets because there is no upside to this empty gesture. Both Russia and Germany admitted their wrongdoings. But only Russia is the bad guys with the ratio of war victims greater than two orders of magnitude.

And what does "submit" mean? Did Poland "submit" to Germany?

History / Why is Poland weaker than Russia? [390]

Poland should make it clear in his speech that both: Nazi Germany and the USSR were the aggressors who attacked Poland

And the upside, other than venting, would be what?
Both countries were aggressive, but neither is stupid now not to know what their fathers did in '39.
So, again, what would be the point to rub it in one more time?

The mafia sells "protection", too.

Selectively quoting will not get you far because we know how to read English. To refresh your memory, I wrote this:

...the US military umbrella, as full of holes as it might be, but still good enough for Poland to want it.

Real mafia sells protection to those who love their kneecaps. Poland WANTS the US protection and the US never threatened Polish kneecaps.

Being locked into unfavourable long term LNG supplies from the US is every bit as bad as being locked into bad long term deals with Russia.

Except for that little detail called NATO and the US military umbrella, as full of holes as it might be, but still good enough for Poland to want it.

By the way, in this year we will mark one more important date: 80 years since WWII began. Almost a century ago...

I hope Putin will remember how Russia was insulted by Poland and return the favor on May 9.
No, I am not Russian and the rumors are fake news. I just hate stupid.

Conclusion we must cut down all the trees on earth and use the wood to ...

News / Poland blocks any action on climate change [569]

Z wrote in another thread this:

Long before that all Manhattan and all the hotels in Miami will be under water. Amen.

That highlighted (by me) will makes the sentence a prediction. So, just for fun, let's try to predict the past with the benefit of hindsight. By now, according to the GW settled science, Miami is already under water. I will go there soon to see how bad the situation is and try to buy a condo at a deep discount. Fishing from a balcony while watching TV will be so much fun.

According to the global warming fanatics, is there anything out there that is not caused by global warming?
Also, if I eat beans, am I adding to the global warming problems?

Life / Worst aspects of living in Poland? [82]

-Personal hygien...

It's because Poland discovered that defecating is not optional. The second discovery after that was that most people would rather pay than s**t in their pants.

Hence, the pay-to-s**t industry. I am so proud.

Then, I am not your kind of traveler. I don't care what the locals think or feel. When I realized that that "pan" and "pani" are still lingering on in Poland, I switched to English except for the few moments when it would not work. Then, it would be "ty". Don't like it? Tough. Sue me.

There is nothing to shake off. It's the stiffs that should shake things off. Like that "pan".
In "America", at 9 am at McDonald's, I can walk up to a bunch of retired guys I never met, say, hi, guys, can I join you, with zero risk that they would be taken aback, offended or would say, no. Typically, we would exchange a joke or two, and I would be on my way. That's America for you. And that is why I can't stand foreigners with that fake respect and lousy English that makes such short encounters impossible. To be funny spontaneously with strangers you have to be more than just fluent.

Too much of any one thing can be harmful, Rich!

I hear that arsenic is yummy and, in moderation, it will not kill you. Same for anti-freeze.

I like when suicidal idiots die early. They leave more money for my Medicare and Social Security benefits. That is why I don't get all that bellyaching about 60 thousand dying from overdosing. Nobody ever died from overdosing on apples and celery sticks.

A) has falling life expectancy - unique among developed nations

Americans are drug addicted fat pigs. And they hate walking. Nothing to do with health care. Just another case of Darwin at work: suicidal idiots die early, which is good.

B) people are more ill during their lifetimes than in Europe

Fat pigs develop diabetes, heart problems, and cancer. Add drug addiction. Nothing to do with health care.

C) Americans spend more on healthcare than Europeans do

Same as B) plus easy access to doctors. No waiting.

See how simple things are?
