USA, Canada / Homeless Poles in NYC [25]

Of course for many of you it means they deserve nothing but contempt...

you must be speaking of yourself.
I have helped, and housed, many alcoholics. They ran a whole gamut from functioning alcoholics, through the ones in denial, to those that have given up or made a decision to drink themselves to death.

All I was pointing out is that the ones in a video had more needs than just a shelter.

All I see there is advanced alcoholism. There might be few exceptions, but they are rare.
And you have to be a saint to offer shelter to a dedicated alcoholic.

Life / Why is Prostitution still legal in Poland? [106]

being as morally corrupt, sick society it has no right to export its filthy mindset and no hope of doing so

Off-Topic / Are you living in Poland? [77]

Also i wonder how many in this forum have visited Poland. I suppose that the number is not too high

and the ones that have not been to Poland, are probably getting ready to go there.
OK, I concede. The ones currently there should be considered experts on current prices of groceries.

Off-Topic / Are you living in Poland? [77]

Very strange how most nationalist, right wing posters failed to say though.

You constantly try to make your point that EVERYONE that is not living in Poland right now somehow lost their connection to it. And EVERYONE that IS in Poland right now has her best interest at heart. I'm trying to tell you that you're wrong.

Was it to prove that none of the usual PF trolls actually live in Poland? If so, I think that you've proved a point...

yea, why Delph?

Law / How to renounce citizenship of Poland? [7]

All he needs to do is to renounce it. Sign a little paper at the consulate, send it, and he is done. That easy.

it's not done until Polish government approves it, which is not a given.

Real Estate / The tenant in Poland can't terminate the rent ? [10]

American laws list the minimum livable conditions that landlord must provide: adequate windows, doors, garbage disposal.. I don't remember the rest. The point is to learn the the local laws and maybe find something unacceptable. If not, find a way to make yourself such a nuissance that the landlord will be glad to be rid of you.

USA, Canada / Emigrate from the USA - the sequence of events [207]

I know of two different couples, friends of the family, that went back to Poland for retirement, and both came back to US within few years. All were Polish, spoke Polish fluently, One couple came back due to some medical issues, and the other complained of the standard of living (they left a house around Zakopane). I didn't speak personally to any of them, but the fact that they came back, at financial loss, might be telling.

USA, Canada / Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]

I can see hating ignorant redneck Americans, or shallow, materialistic Americans, or whatever little brains believe that Americans are... But, really? Hate ALL Americans? Meril Streep, and Johnny Depp, and Alicia Keys, and Tom Hanks... What a stupid, inflamatory question.

Life / All Saints' Day in Poland - Commemoration or Carnival? [44]

Mexico does it big, too. Their Day of the Dead is full of cemetery picnics, skeleton dolls, sugar sculls and family retelling funny stories of the dead.

In honor of the dead children, the live ones dress up and get sweets given to them.
Their celebration is not as somber as the Polish one, and not as senseless as the American one.

Life / Polish vs British vs American - Clash of cultures [390]

Ams and Brits prefer to buy a frozen dish for microwave

Not all of them.. That picture looks like the 80's.
Now, all the rage are the cooking shows, and most of people around me, in an effort to become "foodies" go to the other extreme - making their own pasta and baking their own bread.

Life / Bishops defend Polish family [105]

And ultimately the child will suffer the most.

Here I have to agree with delph. If the child will suffer it will be strictly because of narrow-minded, vile old fools like you.

News / Beer and cycling - it's time for Poles to act [46]

Many Polish people pop down the village roads on their bikes and ride back blind drunk swerving all over the place, and this is why this law was passed. In order to save lives....

Any of these blind drunks ever walk into a road? They should not walk then, either. Bike is not a weapon, like a car. Punishment should be more in line with walking drunk, then with driving drunk.

than, dammit

Today, the site is commemorated with this wing which was left sticking out of the ground after the crash.

Food / Jacket potatoes - do Polish people like them? [22]

I find that boiling the potatoes with their skin on really spoils their taste. Baked potatoes with skin are ok, I guess, whatever flavour there is is covered up with butter, sour cream, chives... etc etc

Food / Irish or English breakfast tea in Poland? [11]

My favorite is Darjeeling.
I do not like Earl Grey at all.
With milk in the morning, lemon in the afternoon.
Trying to cut down on sugar, but I do like them sweet.

Life / Typical for the Poloniandists [171]

Dziadzia and ciocia are common.
Busia, since I have never personally heard in Poland, I have to believe is babcia to somebody that is not pronouncing it right.
What does that have to do with morons though is beyond me.

oh, I know! They dropped the first "ba" from "babusia"!
Lol.. you guys got me hung up on busia.

Life / Typical for the Poloniandists [171]

The problem is p3 that attacking individual posters isn't allowed, so making blanket statements about the stupidity and racism of Polonia is the only way forward.

I think you misunderstood that rule completely. Or conveniently.
It was, hopefully, to remind posters to debate the opposing points, not individuals.
But I think you are honestly unable to do that.
At every step, you attack and insult.
Don't you understand that this only takes away from any valid points you may have?

News / Children licking cream off a Polish priest's legs "inappropriate" says NGO [116]

no they are quite definitely children.
and if that "amuses" you....well.........whatever.

actually, I didn't pay it that much attention. Like I said, I didn't pour over the photos, but didn't see any children sold into slavery or women being raped. Just a bunch of fools under the spell of religion.

LOL 4 pages of comments! I guess they report what sells!

Life / Typical for the Poloniandists [171]

Again I'd ask you to produce a single quote in which I condemn all persons that claim Polish heritage but are not living here,

LOL, you still not going to make me re-read your sh!t. I'll just assume that you don't do it.
So when you say Polonia, I'll just substitute some person you just can't stop fighting with.
Excellent!

News / Children licking cream off a Polish priest's legs "inappropriate" says NGO [116]

That you can make such a comment is, frankly, worrying. I do hope you don't have any responsibilities of any type with children.

All right, all right, I didn't pour over the pictures, I just saw that they were not little children.

My son, even at 10, would have had enough sense not to engage in somebody else's insanity like this, even if it was a priest.
