Classifieds / Polish Home Carers Needed in Colchester, Essex, UK [60]

Don't be ridiculous.

I am not being ridiculous. British people have been pushed out of the labour market and the immigrant workers that have replaced them are being exploited.

Immigrant workers are however entitled to the same protection from unscrupulous bosses that British people are. It is ridiculous for you to state otherwise.

it has taken me a long time to see it, but see it I have.

anyway it pisses me off, for a start you are not allowed to state nationality when you are advertising a job.

they dont want British workers for a reason, and that is because they are not going to be compliant with various aspects of employment law, and they imagine that Polish people will be less knowledgeable about this, and / or complain less.

So not only can British people not get jobs, but Euro workers are also being exploited.

It stinks all round.

oh yes you are right. Anyway it sounds like a really bad deal all round. The worst thing is the old people or their families are probably paying thro the nose.

flogged and run out of a town adorned in tar and feathers.

lol nice to see someone agreeing with me but it seems a bit .....extreme...
Teachers in the UK at least are not given any choice. they have to agree with any boy who 'feelz' like a girl using the girls changing room. If the girls dont like it, then they have to get changed in the toilet. If they object vocally then they are called disgusting bigots.

not really though Jon,. teachers and social workers have to toe the party line, which is, trans is good. I even know of one child who was removed ffrom her mother's care, because the mother thought surgery to make her into a 'real girl' was probably a bad idea. She was 14.

Not sure what a SWERF is, enlighten me.

yes I am a TERF and proud. If it is a choice between that and being called a 'dirty cockroach' by attention seeking boysies who 'feelz' like a woman (whatever they think they mean by that) then fine.

its not just in the music hall Jon though is it?

what it is jon, it a concerted effort by misogynists to get rid of women altogether.
Women's spaces that were hard fought for, are now being eradicated.
If we dare to object or even question, we are called 'bigots' 'terfs' or worse (recently I was called a 'disgusting cockroach' for suggesting that people with penises should use the men's space...

Drag artists are the gender equivalent of white artistes 'blacking up' to mock black people.

in our local school, just because some attention seeking boy with an attention seeking mother wanted to dress as a girl, the entire senior prom was filmed for the BBC. anyone who objected was called a nasty bigot.

Polonia / Reckless Polish Man starts wildfire in Montenegro [48]

i think the point that other posters are making is that dreadful things are happening everywhere, but some people (and I have no desire to get into any argument here) ...some people are starting threads with the intention of a)making Polish people look bad and b) start some kind of argument. A bit like ....u know,,,, a small creature with wild hair who lives under a bridge?

A Polish man started a forest fire? well maybe he just tossed his ciggie away carelessly. **** happens, nationality is not really the issue is it?

Shall I start a thread about sexually abusive Pakistani men? or would that be 'racist'?

Language / Where did you start or the best techniques for learning Polish. [85]

..and Russell Crowe as a trained actor, has perfectly good diction...also, if you had seen the horse sale in our village today, you would have completely revised your opinion that horse riding is a 'posh' sport.

PR is basically confined to an upper-crust horsey set who attend Glydenbourne, essentially only spoken by the Queen or a few hangers on

i am sorry Lyzko but I dont know what you mean and I am not sure that you do either. I can assure you that 'RP' if that is what you mean, is quite different from an aristocratic accent. Anyway nobody speaks like Queenie does, except for herself. Not even the young princes.

I ride horses and so does my daughter...(in fact she won a dressage comp the other day, showing off quickly) and my children have been to Glyndebourne..what are you trying to say exactly? Lazy stereotypes much?

UK, Ireland / 31 year old Polish man causes accident under influence of alcohol and kills 8 [198]

we can agree that Alcohol abuse is a big problem in Poland while Terrorism, child grooming and abuse by migrants and/or their decendants is rife in the UK.

yes sure, every country has its issues, doesnt mean its OK for Poland to export its alcohol problem to the UK, daily.

Polonia / Where do you live, in Poland or abroad? [28]

...kind of makes me think of rich people drinking gin and tonic, watching a polo match, while a punkah wallah operates the fan...

not somebody teaching English in Poland ...lol

To answer your question OP, I live in Wales. It's a small country attached to England.

Polonia / Where do you live, in Poland or abroad? [28]

anyway sorry to be picky but doesnt the term 'expat' indicate some kind of fixed term contract with extensive benefits in a wealthy oil rich country like Saudi Arabia? Not somebody who is working /living in Poland?
