and my family has German heritage, only good and positive things about German stuff but we are very anti-Germany in the sense of Germany the state! ;p
(Well we got to we live among Poles, they would crucify us if we weren't!! ;p)
That's why my family went on with uprisings beign in solidarity and everything. To prove our Polishness ;)
Can even remember that in the hallways in my school there were pictures of a tour trip to Germany the school had done and there was a giant black German eagle. I made sounds of spitting every time I went past it in disrespect. Of course after I get to know I have similar political opinion like Angela Merkel and that Germany is the savior of Europe in bad days I had to restrain a bit ;)
Although going back to topic I can remember a class of Germans coming to our class in Warsaw (Polish class) and my colleagues were joking about making "hail Hitler" in front of em. But they never really did it (maybe because they lacked support from my side idk). The Germans were not that much to communicate as they were only allowed to talk in German, and so were we (as this was part of the German lessons). I was the only one able to grab some words and guess what they were talking about since I could speak Norwegian. While the others just couldn't grasp their conversations.
As what I got from they didn't say anything negative about Poland, but a years can't wipe out people opinions so I guess there are many that doesn't know about Poland as BB says, and some that are not that quite fond of it either.
Well...I'm one of those...

Bullocks and utter bullocks! Japan and Germany were never on good foot. Especially when Hitler signed a non-aggression pact with Soviet Union! The Japanese felt betrayed and signed one with the soviets also! When the time came the Japanese din almost to nothing to support Germany with attacking the Soviet Union. One of the reasons for Hitler to declare war on U.S.A was to better the relationship. (Also he considered to be at war with U.S.A already as you mentioned earlier the American Navy was sinking German U-Boats)
Also thinking of the topic I would say Great Britain with Churchill's commando's and supply deliveries to insurgents or "partisans"
Unless you might think of Hungary that let entire military units go through her territory (Italy did the same to a certain extent) and letting the Polish embassy work at her territory until 1943 (or was it 1944?) I think that Germans walked in.

Here in Norway there is a lot of Catholic churches used by Protestants... I find it amusing :)
Although inside them it's different ;)
Ive always given just around 10-20 NOK or 2-5 Złoty :(
But when I get a real normal life THEN I will give a lot more away :)
