What so ridiculous about Solidarity demands eh? They give in to all sorts of lobby groups and most of all into banks demands.

The same goes for above. You talking but you do not think, precisely because of the history and neighbors Poland should become a power, that nobody would dare to pick on her.
Regain some territories which belonged to Poland long before Columbus was born is not the most important issue on the menu, but nevertheless an issue which cannot be avoided, eventually.
Frankly, considering Poland's volatile history, the people of Poland today should appreciate the territory they live in today and just focus on doing the best with it. It shouldn't be taken for granted that there isn't some nearby predator Hitler or Stalin like country today looking to destroy Poland.

Yes, both would benefit greatly from that, but ironically is not Poles with presumed Russian-phobia, but Russians who cannot overcome they imperial complex and the need to control rather than lead.
Those 300 years of domination had gone into their heads. The mutual benefit from fair cooperation is not good enough for them and rather than start with a clean slate they prefer to continue on the old track.
Russia & Poland are neighbors & have a history together - so probably they would be best partners!.

Once they understand that Poland is serious I do not expect to hear much from them.
Problem is that so called help for a democratic opposition in Belarus is financed by EU or USA - maybe both.( that what I heard - I don't know)
If that is the truth that would mean that Polish minority in that country is manipulated for some odd agendas. And what the government of Poland is doing about that ?
I suppose one problem is that if they do that, the trouble makers will just do more to draw Poland's attention.
Once they understand that Poland is serious I do not expect to hear much from them.

I think that when Germany have attacked on Poland and it became clear that Germany will grasp her all. The USSR wanted to remove borders far away from the country because Russia wasn't ready to be at war with Germany, but understood that war will be all the same....
