History / Are Poles grateful to the Russians for winning the war? [120]

The difference was that the Soviets weren't intent on ending Polish existence, or at the very least, didn't mean to do it by slaughtering them.

Both were intent on ending Polish existence but in different ways, would you like to die from cholera or flu ?dead is dead

USA, Canada / Do you speak English? Have you lived in America? New LOVE/HATE list......... [144]

Precisely why you, along with the majority of all other posters on here, know NOTHING about the USA.

first of all I know a lot about the U.S. - yet I have never claimed that I know all !
secondly I was talking about a US government's international policy, so your miserable post here is misleading BS and that is the reason I despise you - because you are sly !

Everyone can discus foreign policy of the US. You blind defense of said policy is disgusting.
Have a nice day fuzz.

UK, Ireland / Grateful Polish photographer stitches up his Welsh hosts [96]

Rather than poking fun at those people, he should get down on his knees and thank them.

oh please <..>roll eyes
is that British outrage in action ?

It's the smugness which really grates - that "our women aren't like this, so we're better than you" attitude.

Really, how about "hey you are not better, so off you go from your high horse"attitude?

Completely relevant. He took photos of the British at their worst, because he had an agenda.

Sure he had agenda Holmes - its called subject - every photographer have one.
Gee....sitting on the fence is putting a lot of pressure on your nuts.

I don't know why people can't accept that Poland's problems with alcohol aren't somehow "less bad" than Britain's. They may be noticed in different ways, but they can still be just as damaging. I don't know any English people with severe drink problems, yet I lost an uncle in Poland to alcohol. He didn't die of a "superior" form of alcoholism, that's for sure.

Yeah definitely a lot of pressure. What are you even talking about? Is that your memoirs?

I paint,

Hitler painted too.

I'm not suggesting they are terrible but they are nothing special - are they?

Have you seen all collection ?

Given the frequency I see them doing it, in five years I could have enough photos of men (and the occasional woman) pissing outside a primary school to have an exhibition.

What are you doing that often in a vicinity of primary school ?
n

I'm neither British nor a nationalist.

Yeah you are hypocrite,

Its not a big deal, only daily mail and Harry are out there to stirr shite, matching pair they are.....somebody make a picture

History / Poland Lithuania - current relations [124]

You do know that Muscovite weren't threat to Lithuania until the end of XV century?
Jogaila didn't choose Muscovites as an allies because they weren't Catholics. If Lithuania became an Orthodox country it wouldn't stop Teutonic order from attacking it. For Teutonic order both Orthodox and pagans looked as heathen.

Well, Moscow was always a thread to Lithuania. Moscow was a natural enemy of Lithuania. Moscow has seen itself like natural heir of all Rus lands.

Who called himself officially Grand Duke Of Lithuanian and the Greater Part of Rus ?
Maybe they were not imminent threat but they were threat nevertheless.

Well, Lithuania's Catholicism didn't stop Teutonic Order from almost strangling her, Polish knights did it!

with a nation that was overlord of an area three times the size of the kingdom of Poland at the time.

At the time it meant not that much as most of those areas were depopulated and underdeveloped - as they say without workforce and specialists it was only sand!

Stop harping Deses! What is your problem eh?

Unification with Muscovites. Poland did not had such option.

You should go for it, at least you wouldn't have that childish quarrels about some obscure language, you all would be speaking proper Russian and been a proud Russian.

No not peasants.

well, maybe not all but most of them .......

Seriously do you think that unification is/was standard procedure? think again, Moscow didn't even had conception of unification, they understood that J wants to be a subject of the GDM. There would be no Lithuania in no time. J knew about that, so there was no choice not really !

How did it weakened Poland?

have a guess - you are so intelligent

You're a retard and a troll.

I think we already established that you are the retard. As for being a troll you brag about being one openly.

what was common ground between Polish akingdom and Russia ?

Lithuania - they had an mortal enemy - Moscow. Actually Lithuania had enemies all around them.

Poland was standing on their way to Europe.

No, Lithuania was standing on their way.Poland was a potential ally.

This is terribly misguided hindsight. The Polish-Lithuanian alliance was a thing of beauty for the whole of the world to marvel at.

Frankly I don't care about the world esthetic's sensations, that union weakened Polish Kingdom. An alliance for a duration would suffice.

Poland did not had any enemies... Teutonic order was just a wimp...

Temporally alliance would suffice........and then start on friendly footage with Russia.

Don't forget that if not the union then GDL would have remained an enemy to Poland.

Yes, they were pests, an alliance with Russia would be a good thing.

do believe that both nations in long term needed an Union to survive

Nope, only GLD needed Poland to survive !

I think Lithuanian and Polish historians would agree also.

Some would, some wouldn't !

News / Prime Minister in Krynica on European integration [53]

Source !

Pay for what, courses for +50 y.o. village women, where they are taught how to turn on a computer ? Cash for peasants with 3 shitted cows, which stop them from giving it up and looking for a normal job ? Overpriced roads, which we will not afford to maintain properly ? Show me any country, which became wealthy thanks to foreign aid.

I knew you will ignore above.
What happened with your smiles? If you will try to block your uncontrollable grimace syndrome you may get jaw-lock.

News / Prime Minister in Krynica on European integration [53]

As for Euro Union support in Poland, I even underestimated it. Actually, it is 86%, not 80%.

What will you say to that?
:):):):):)

I would say that 80% of all who bothered to vote - so 80% out of 40 % of those entitled to vote in Poland, lets be generous 50% !
It is not smashing majority, given that mass media in Poland are full of pro EU bias and propaganda....
