Love / Polish traditions and parents (I was dating this Polish guy..) [72]

there is this nose

Just one word... rhinoplasty...

In regards to the "third worlder" issue, since it's been mentioned... Actually I'd say ( don't have much to do with "third worlders" ) that if we "were to blame" a given group for the fact that some Polish women are, as Southern put it, "loose" ( and since we can't blame these women themselves, because they're faultless through being Polish and thus the next incarnation of Holy Mary as LTB will surely tell us ) I'd hesitantly point towards English blokes. In my bachelor circles in London it became quite fashionable in the last few ( 5 or so ) years to "do a Polish girl".

The way it was usually done was through going to this or that club, acting really, really English ( accent and all ), buying a few expensive drinks and saying how one had a pad in a more fancy part of town ( according to a friend of mine "Notting Hill" was really a hit, since there was a movie and all ). That was supposedly enough and ( also supposedly ) one did not really have to repeat the procedure more than twice to find a Polish girl for the night. To be fair though - I doubt all of the lads I talked to ( middle/middle-upper class boys all of them ) about it were able to distinguish Polish from Lithuanian or Czech.

So yeah, let's blame the evil English ( again ) for spoiling Polish women's morality.

Now with "third worlders' I can vaguely recall ( will google it ) a case of a certain Cameroonian immigrant in Warsaw that was a real hit with the ladies over there, so Southern might be a bit right. Simon Mol, wasn't that the lad's name? Got dozens of Polish women infected with HIV because when they asked him to wear a condom he said they were being "racist". Worked like a charm, every single time...LOL....

Lodz the Boat, care to comment on Mol's case? ( in other thread, not to expand the offtopic discussion ) Why don't we hear about African immigrants wrecking such havoc on local women in France or the UK, :-)

History / Why did Russia attack Poland in WW2? [178]

Poland whopped Russia's ass in 1919 or 1920 ( don't recall precisely ), back when Lenin was in charge and back when USSR still wanted to "export revolution" on bayonettes. Poland saved much of Western Europe ( half of Germany, in the very least ) from becoming communist in that campaign. Something all of Wester Europe forgot about promptly.

Some of the military leaders on the USSR side in that lost campaign included Budionny, Tuchatschevski and last but not the least - Stalin. Some claim that was the reason why Stalin had it in for Poland.

But I personally think the attack had more to do with a rapidly opening window of opportunity and them being able to snatch up a lot of land while destroying an opposing state at the same time.

Love / Polish traditions and parents (I was dating this Polish guy..) [72]

Polish parents in America usually don't care if their children date non-Poles. - that's why I think this is more a case of option a) - dude looking for a "suitable" excuse to dump the threadstarter.

Either way, she should tell him to go pound monkeys in the zoo and get with someone else.

Love / Polish traditions and parents (I was dating this Polish guy..) [72]

I consider it as an alcoholic beverage. -

You do and a Polish subcontractor of mine used to hire lads from Poland who could, I **** everyone not, drink 12-15 pint-sized lagers at a party and be relatively sober. They didn't consider that much of an accomplishment either, they said vodka was where the real drinking started.

Its not because they are hypocrites, but because they are polite enough and feel that no matter how inconvenient they thing the matter is, they have no right to insult or hurt someone

LOL.

Assuming the dude's parents are really the problem ( dunno if that's the case ) they're behaving like first class ******** - having her over for tea, smiling and laughing, then telling him to dump her as soon as she closes the door. Sure, they're not "hurting" her. Not at all. I mean it's not like the time she's spending ( and wasting, due to their influence ) with their son she could actually spend with someone else....

I find hypocrites to be the worst bastards around. When I was a lot ( I do mean a lot ) younger and not quite financially well-off I was courting a Jewish girl in the U.K. and quite quickly her father flat out told me I wasn't good enough. Pretty much along the lines of "bugger off lad, this ain't Your league".

I was really pissed off then. Now many years have passed and I actually think he did me a big favour that day - it would have been a lot worse if he said nothing to me, yet kept whispering in her ear how she really deserved someone better/other. Such **** can really ruin a relationship in the long run. Poison in the well, so to speak.

rant about how annoyed you are, how you'd hit me if I said that in front of you, that there are wonderful Polish women around, blah, blah, blah

Seriously, mate, cut down on the coffee and even if You don't - bark at some other tree. I have my opinions, You have yours, I'm most likely the one with a greater amount of life experience yet You don't see me calling You a **** or telling You to go and die because You think things work differently.

Addressing some of the points You made while not too busy frothing at the mouth and shouting out names -

0) For a questing Polish white knight on a shining horse who will challenge any and all who'd dare to insult the honor and virtue of Polish women You've made quite a curious choice of a life partner, I need to say. Why go Korean if You got all these lovely, faultless Polish women around? Lol...

1) Jewish women rarely have a bad opinion in the world. Polish women in the UK have a downright bad opinion. What is surprising - UK has been "invaded" countless times in the past, by people from India, Greece, Pakistan, Africa - some of these places are poorer than Poland. Yet Indian, Pakistani or even African women don't have such a bad opinion. You don't hear BBC DJ's saying Pakistani women make good prostitutes.

Same goes for America, especially some areas of Chicago and New York, Polish women don't exactly have the best opinion ( to be fair though - neither do many other "Catholic" girls, for some reason they are considered much "easier" than Protestant or Jewish ones ).

If You don't believe me - please tell me why every twice a month or so there's a boyo living in the UK but hailing from Pakistan, India, Africa or fracking Mauritius over here who's offering a thinly veiled ass-for-rent deal? Why don't they do it on jewishforums.com?Or irishforums.com?

Simple, the women over there would laugh them off the face of this planet. But not some Polish women.

IMO that opinion is not due to all Polish women being "sluts", "immoral" or however You want to call it, but due to a rather visible minority. I'm talking, for instance, about a visible amount of Polish women in London who will give it up for any guy promising them a rent-free life in a more desirable part of town. And since women belonging to this minority are often considered "success stories" back in Poland, someone has to break it down to the Polish that in the UK a girl who does that isn't considered much different from a one that's turning tricks in a cat house.

2) With that said - I do not think all Polish women are bad. Some are surely wonderful, as You said. But the fact that I'm calling a ***** a "*****" does not consitute verbal demeaning. Please keep in mind that I never claimed to say anything about all Polish women.

If the same number of Indian girls was behaving as a visible amount of Polish girls do ( talking London town specifically now ) I'd surely throw in a few jokes about Indian sluts every now and then. But they don't, so I don't - it is that simple.

3) Right now I am quite happy in a fabulous ( albeit at times distant ) relationship, so You'd be spending time better if You took care of Your Korean princess instead of ******** how eeeeeeeeviiiiiil I am.

Love / Polish traditions and parents (I was dating this Polish guy..) [72]

Ok, one issue at a time here before I go to sleep:

1) You shouldn't be making generalizations about all Polish ( or Russian, English, Jewish, etc. ) men based on how one particular "member of the species" is acting. Most Polish guys ( at least ones that were born and raised in Poland ) don't even consider beer an alcoholic beverage to begin with and can consume copious quantities of it without getting drunk.

2) After reading all You wrote - forget that boy genius, lose the number. One of the two things happened:

a) He was looking for an excuse to dump You a and pulled this "You're not Polish"
thing out of his ass because he figured it might work.

Or

b) His family are a bunch of hardcore traditionalists, who happen to be hypocrites to boot. They won't tell You anything to Your face, but once You're out the door they really start talking. That's regardless of how many times You stayed over for tea and how much You thought his mom adores You.

Both are entirely possible and I've seen b) in action ( not only amongst Polish people ). In my humble opinion making one's kids only date/marry people from their own "circle" is a dick move to pull off on one's offspring, but it still happens. The person that ultimately suffers most is the one being forced to limit their field of choices, in case of Polish guys it is quite sad, since a visible number of Polish girls aren't exactly marriage material to begin with.

But hey - none of this is Your problem, You need to react to the **** his pulling off.

Best reaction = telling him to pound sand.

They should just drive the stags to a red light district in Nowa Huta, it's a win win

With You on that, Sean, it is a splendid idea.

Midas are you involved with one of these companies that organize trips to Krakow?

Nope, I try not to spread myself too thin. Only a few projects any given time ( rarely more than four ), that's how I roll :-)

Travel / The British YOBs are back in Polish towns [68]

By your logic, there should be no criticism of Polish people's bad behavior in the UK since Brits themselves are not saints either.

Which, coincidentally, happens to be precisely the "excuse" many Polish use when some of their darker sides ( drunk driving which Harry mentioned ) are being brought to light by the British press.

But let's not get caught up in an overheated discussion here.

All I'm saying is that this whole "British barbarian hordes in Cracow" thing is getting blown out of proportion by the media.

Travel / The British YOBs are back in Polish towns [68]

So what is it that you are doing?

I'm simply saying that as long as Cracow has this lil' bit of a problem with machete-wielding fanatics that kill each other in the streets singling out British lads whose only crime is getting a bit woozy and sometimes vomiting in the street as black sheep that need to be dealt with harshly might not be appropriate.

Unless of course it is perfectly ok in Poland to apply a double standard. Or unless you are claiming Cracow does not have a problem with football hooligans.

Why should they not complain about stag parties and yob behaviour ?Are you condoning such behaviour?

Complaining = ok.

Appropriate Police procedure where and when necessary = ok

Spinning up crazy **** in the media and singling Brits out as black sheep in Gazeta Wyborcza = not ok.

Crying "Let's close down the companies that are organizing these trips" = not ok

Travel / The British YOBs are back in Polish towns [68]

I'm not bashing Poland.

If there is criminal behaviour going on - let the Police friggin' handle it instead of talking about how companies specializing in U.K. to Poland tourist trips should be banned.

I can also understand some of the outcry from a small town in Belgium or Switzerland after they've been visited by groups of British hooligans on their way to the game.

But Cracow, really?

Cracow with it's infamous "Nowa Huta" where it simply isn't safe to walk after dark? Cracow with it's two constantly warring football firms? Cracow with it's unusually high number of stabbings ( one of said firms has a penchant for knives )?

All I'm saying is the British in Cracow aren't doing anything that spetacular to deserve so much negative press and "special" attention from the Police. Not to mention some of You guys here advocating banning legally operating companies or forcing the "British Council" to become involved.

Travel / The British YOBs are back in Polish towns [68]

Sure...Let's blame the British... It's all their fault... I mean the Polish they're just saints in their own right...
...

Here you go.

That's a movie that pops up on Youtube once you type in "florianska". You got a couple of British lads who had a few beers, are enjoying their meal and are calmly filming what can only be described as a spetacular brawl ( women get hit too ) between Polish guys in the middle of Old Town, Cracow. But sure, it must have been the British that started all that, then magically disappeared leaving the Polish to do the fighting.

And don't even get me started about the football hooliganism that is rampant in Cracow ( a few months ago a guy got hacked to pieces with machetes in the middle of the street ). You'll probably say it's the fault of the British because they filmed "Football Factory".

If tourists travelled to any destination with lets say ' Thomsons' and started exposing themselves in public fighting and molesting the local girls. Then the local Police or officials would have a word with the tour operator and ask them to speak to their guests. Yes or No ?

Carrying an automatic weapon is usually a criminal offence ( some U.S. states included ), so I don't think that's a relevant argument.

Exposing themselves in public places - Polish do that too. People tend to do so while drunk.

Public fighting - please see the movie above. These Brits are being awfully aggressive with their stingy comments. Nothing like these calm and reserved Polish gentlemen rolling around in the middle of the street...

Molesting local girls - are you joking, sir? Polish girls usually are more than happy to get with a British guy, even if they don't know English language and know that the "relationship" won't evolve past a one night stand. But if You still insist - tell me how many rape/sexual harassment convictions had there been in Cracow where the victim was a Polish girl and the perp a British lad? 0? 1? 2?

You just said companies organising tours in Cracow should be banned. There is no legal way to support this, I'm sorry. Even should half of the British visitors turn out to be fire breathing dragons, they're still EU citizens and they have the right of free travel.

Krakow is not Birmingham or Leeds on a saturday night...

-

sure, because Birmingham and Leeds are just chock-full of these angry, drunk yobs, and all the Polish in Cracow on a Friday night listen to Bach and Bethoven while sipping lattes in classy cafe's ( as the linked youtube movie clearly proves... ).

Maybe you should be a little bit less obnoxious eh?

Maybe the Polish could quit complaining about the British being supposedly so bad since they're doing the same thing ( and worse, see football hooliganism ) in their precious Cracow every other Friday?

Pissing on national monuments, mooning on the passing nuns, making rude comments and gestures, making fun of the locals, vomiting on the trams

You left out looting, pillaging, rape ( see warszawski's comment ), desacration, crimes against humanity and ******* Adam Mickiewicz's statue up the poop chute...

To summarize - yup, I think Cracow should grow more tolerant, this media spin is getting idiotic, not to mention this promise by the Polish Police to target British tourists.

British are being singled out for exactly the same type of behaviour that the Polish participate in.

Travel / The British YOBs are back in Polish towns [68]

To make it completely clear - I visited Cracow during the time when some Polish media was kicking up a frenzy about how Brits come and misbehave. And I consider this media spin complete and utter bollocks. For starters, Brits partying in Cracow don't really behave much worse than the general population ( which is, by definition, local ). Do the Polish media go apeshit everytime a bunch of roid-necks get involved in a rumble on Florianska? I don't think so. And for sure they don't drink more than an average Pole on a night out.

The few odd bits of extravagant behaviour associated with stag parties might be indeed new for Poles ( dressing up and such ) but it is just boys being boys, so Cracow should really learn to be a bit more tolerant.

I also need to add that from what i saw in some clubs British lads are a real hit with Polish ladies, so I don't really get all this criticism in this thread.

It would be very easy to find out who are behind the companies and explain to them to clean up their act or be banned.

Being banned for offering a perfectly legal service????

jola1 - Why not get good old Queen Elizabeth into the mix while You're at it? I'm sure her influence in this could be crucial.

You are making unfounded generalizations ( "brits who come are such swines" ).

I don't know if You noticed, but there was a topic up here a while ago, where someone posted data showing that roughly 600 ( if I recall correctly ) Polish women married British lads in 2009 or sth. That has to include a significant amount of pairs that met while a Brit was over in Poland visiting.

So what's the deal? Polish women like swines? Or perhaps You're just ******** too much? Or maybe You wanted to get with a British guy and he chose some other chick?

Cracow should be happy that they come over and spend their money there. A few black sheep are no reason to complain.

What I wrote applies only to some polish women. Of course, I admit that the percentage of money-oriented polish women is visibly higher than in, shall we say, U.S. or France, but that doesn't mean I think ALL Polish women are like that. 30% at most.

UK, Ireland / British going bankrupt in Poland? [22]

UkPolska - and I am fed up with people coming over here thinking they can screw people and get away with it, but unfortunately this is everywhere from multinational companies right the way down to individual investors.

The multinationals will **** everyone over for a few bucks, move factories around the globe, shop for tax incentives, etc. and that's a well known fact.

What boils my **** is the "individual investors".

Now, I'll freely admit I'm no Santa Claus myself and will pay no more than a market wage for contractors, architects, etc. I refuse to pay extra for plots, flats and quite a few of my would-be deals here fell apart because some Polish genius thought he could play me for a schmuck and pull some exorbitant price from his hat out of the blue.

But I don't treat Poland as a piggy bank and don't **** people out of their money. And since 2004 I've seen many a "businessman" ( often English/Irish, I have to add ) whose businessplan in Poland was based on not paying people and disappearing when things didn't work out.

andrew wright:

Easy! I was 22 years old,Self employed,Taking home £55.000 a years for 7 years,Spent my money on my Kids,My Wife, My house,Nice new cars ETC and not the tax man,

So basically your "businessplan" boiled down to ******* the state for as long as you were able, then filing the papers?

Ethical, I must say :-)

Pretty much every other Thursday :-)

The thread is a oueer drama.

Didn't notice any "queer drama".

Guys, I'm sorry, but a number of Eastern European states have a reputation as not particularly friendly for dark skinned people. IMO that's very 1990's, but the reputation is still there, people will ask questions.

Kind of funny really, considering German "soccer fans" used to throw bananas at Tony Yeboah when he first started playing there, yet Germany didn't get that kind of rep. Better PR, I guess.

Hey,

1) Unless You got "I'm gay" written in white ink on Your forehead or strut around in a pink catsuit with a handbag most people won't notice You are gay and it won't be a factor.

2) Poland wasn't really that great for dark skinned people in the 1990's, although not as bad as Russia. Things have improved by leaps and bounds since, now it is pretty much like any other European country. So apply the usual rule of the thumb - the poorer the neighbourhood, the bigger Your chance of someone ( often a group of young thugs ) having a problem with Your skin color.

Downtown Warsaw - You'll be fine.

Oh yeah, with the above in mind, I'd avoid the vicinity of Legia's £azienkowska stadium during game days.

UK, Ireland / British going bankrupt in Poland? [22]

Ukpolska - Quit being so cheeky. She's a very toned, stunning size ten who doesn't look her age, loves to help young lads out should they find themselves in a financial hotspot ( real Mother Theresa ) and thus she doesn't deserve your rudeness :-)

Sarcasm aside, I seriously believe that 90% of the time an appropriate Polish "komornik" responsible for debt recovery won't have the foggiest on how to collect on a guy who is living in the UK. That partially depends on who he is in the hole with and what kind of legal representation they get during the debt recovery process.

Btw, madam, please tell Your young boyo not to pull such stunts in the future, doing business in Poland is difficult as it is when one is a foreigner, without English lads coming over and ******* people out of their hard earned zloty, then running off back to UK looking for a way to weasel out of it.

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland by Peadar de Burca. They "turned their backs on a country that gave them" [195]

^^ Ok, this is getting out of hand.

1) Polish people do not/did not work "hard jobs that the brits were too egoistic" for.

Polish people came over and basically drove down the wage You had to pay to find an employee in almost all corners of the market, both in the UK and in Ireland. While some of them were hard workers indeed, so were/are many Brits and Irish.

Don't expect anyone who worked a job in the UK/Ireland and suddenly found himself without one because a Pole undercut him to be happy about the amount of Polish people that came over.

2) Who do your men go get themselves involved with our woman even for temporary fun? That makes you a better human?

You honestly expect all the guys in UK/Ireland to turn down free *****? Because that's what a noticeable amout of Polish ladies are.

3) Why do the brits not do their smaller job and let the Poles do it? You are incapable of it? - please see 1.

4) I think we Poles are atleast better because we are not into making fun or demeaning anyone. - You must be joking sir...

I happen to speak Polish and numerous times I've heard Polish women slagging off British/Irish women ( for being supposedly ugly, not feminine, drunks, of low morals <sic!>, etc. ). With some Polish girls it honestly seems like a favorite past time sometimes, let's talk about how much better than anyone else we are.

And Polish guys aren't without fault in this department either, especially the big myth about them being so much more "hardworking" than everyone else.

5) Why don't you brits create stricter rules so that you don't have to take us Poles for work anymore in your countries? -

I'm not going to advocate it because I made quite a dandy profit on hiring Polish subcontractors, but if I were a British/Irish construction worker I'd be screaming bloody murder. To be perfectly clear - I hired Polish not because they are so bloody hardworking, but because they worked for less money.

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland by Peadar de Burca. They "turned their backs on a country that gave them" [195]

Why do these Poles stay in a country where they have to work a 22-hour shift and live in a room they rent with 19 other migrants and a pig called Jeremy? Do they think that this existence is better than being chased by a bear in Bialystock? I say that it isn't.

This may explain why Ireland has so many drug addicts. They roam the streets day and night like the zombies from Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video.Dublin is the heroin capital of Europe. There are swathes of addicts everywhere in the city, all of them dressed for some strange reason, in tracksuits. Are they training for something? The Heroin Olympics? Think of all the gold medals we would win in events such as 'Throwing the Syringe', 'Synchronised Overdosing' and 'The Shoplifting Relay Race'.

You never see priests walking around the streets of Ireland. This is because they are all hiding from the authorities. Whenever a priest is spotted near an Irish village, it is announced on radio stations and families are warned to avoid the area. Then teams of men form a line and walk through the undergrowth, beating drums and cans, trying to drive the beast out into the open where they can get a clear shot at it.

The women in Poland look like women - they look like they are the result of a tryst between Rudolph Valentino and Marlene Dietrich. With Irish women, it looks like the zookeeper forgot to lock the gates

Most middle-aged Irish people think that Poles come from a third world country where the only food is baked sulphor. They are unaware that the Polish man mopping the floor is actually a trained architect with a black belt in Applied Physics.

McCoy - may You be blessed for posting the link, sir. The man who wrote this has a positively wicked sense of humour.
