News / GERMANS WANT TO GERMANIZE KOPERNIK (COPERNICUS)! OUTRAGE! [1016]

Copernicus' ethnicity is definitely Polish since his lifestyle and beliefs were much more in line with being a Pole then a German.

So, ethnicity is nowadays defined through the lifestyle? That would make all polish kids with baggy-pants to rapping Blacks...interesting to know!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Power#Black_is_beautiful

"Black is beautiful"...but not White, huh? Hypocrits...

Well, Bratwurst, whites have kind of a history on that point, haven't we? :)

Well, we are paying for that 70 years after.
Every try to curb the invasions of non-Europeans into our continent is now demeaned easily with calling it "Nazi".

I am not sure if I agree on the "Power"-bit there, Bratwurst. You know that Black Power as a compled different meaning than White Power. Black Power is about equality and White Power is about superiority to other races. Not quite the same, I think.

Well...here I disagree!

Whites already belong to the tiniest group of humans and if they themselves don't look after their heritage nobody else will.
A "white-history-month" is in order the same way as the blacks have it etc.etc.etc.

It seems every culture and every race is asked to cherish and to protect their heritage, but when Whites do it it's called racism!

When "Proud to be black" and "Black Power" is okay then "Proud to be white" and "White Power" must be accepted too.

Everything else is racism...anti-white racism!

(Wikipedia, "Early Slavs")

"reddish hair" is nowadays connected to the Celts, Europes most earliest natives.

Can't help it..I don't like the Brits (as political entity) ;)

It's satisfying to see them falling free and Germany at the top in Europe after 100+ years war and rivalry. Sometimes happy endings happen! :)

He is an idiot! Needs to be told some hard truths..

And yes, in the beginning it was all about revenge!

Even now 70 years later it's abit about revenge too. What were these wars about if not about the new food chain in Europe? Germany tried to come out on top since the unification...with GB and France trying everything to stop it...now take a look! ;)

No,the Wind was sown when during the First world war the german airforce launched the very first terror bombing campaigns against civilians, british civilians.....

The only war crime during WWI was the hunger blockade of the Brits...starving more then 600.000 german civilians forcing the gov to subscribe to this slimy treaty...you better shut the **** up!

Those soldiers who kicked you '41 from Dunkirk into the sea surely relished the revenge!

Better Brits hold their feet still when serious warrior nations talk...without the US in the first war and later the US PLUS the Russians in the second war you would had been toast.

I wonder where you take the chuzpa from to talk as if you had won anything!
But now we won the peace and you are going to be marginalized in Europe anyhow...put down where you belong. I really doubt the US is still interested in your vaunted "special relationship", coming to help little begging Brits.

Soon it's only you and us...little England!

The French were responsible for Versailles.

Well...and they being forced to sign the armistice in the same place where they sowed the wind was a payback of historic proportions! ;)

It killed German civilians and levelled a city, put Hitlers Reich in terror distance of the Allies reep what you sow and all that. A demorolising inpact on the German nationals morale, a major victory for the allies. A little bit of pay back basically.

Payback for sure.
But please be honest about it and cut the crap like "military reason" or "demoralizing effect" and such.
Like with the Blitz on London these attacks proved to have a rallying effect on the German civilians instead...

They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind.[12][13]

Well...I say the "wind" was sowed already during the negotiations for the Treaty of Versailles. You reaped the whirlwind (Hitler) later for that!

I don't think it there has been so many German commandos making it to GB or to the US but lots of allied spies/commandos landed in Germany or in the neighbourhood, so what do you know!

Face it..that order was nothing uncommon, every side behaved the same in this regard. It only became a war crime for Germans (after the war).

Dresden was an allied triumph and totally in line with current war tactics started by Germany. WTF.

What triumph? What was achieved with that?

/wiki/Bombing_of_Dresden_in_World_War_II#Wartime_political_responses

If they intended to go behind enemy lines they did for sure...

When the Italians captured David Stirling, he ended up in Colditz castle as a prisoner of war for the rest of the war. His brother Bill Stirling and 'Paddy' Blair Mayne took command. Prior to the Normandy Invasion, SAS men were inserted into France as 4-men teams to help maquisards of the French Resistance.
In Operation Houndsmith, 144 SAS men parachuted with jeeps and supplies into Dijon, France. During and after D-Day they continued their raids against fuel depots, communications centres and railways. They did suffer casualties at one stage the Germans executed 24 SAS soldiers and a US Air Force pilot.

"Commandos" were regular units in their own armies but to achieve their goals they used irregular methods (behind enemy lines). That's why they were called "Commandos"!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Operations_Executive

The Special Operations Executive (SOE) (sometimes referred to as "the Baker Street Irregulars") was a World War II organisation of the United Kingdom. It was initiated by Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Minister of Economic Warfare Hugh Dalton on July 22, 1940, to conduct warfare by means other than direct military engagement. Its mission was to encourage and facilitate espionage and sabotage behind enemy lines and to serve as the core of the Auxiliary Units, a British resistance movement.
...
The SOE directly employed or controlled just over 13,000 people. It is estimated that SOE supported or supplied about 1,000,000 operatives worldwide.

In foreign uniforms perhaps.

What do you think "Commandos" means? That are special troops infiltrating behind enemy lines to gather information or do other special tasks!

Every country had them and used them....and they knew they were very likely to get killed when caught. Only with the Germans it became a war crime after the war...you've got to be kidding!

History / Weapons of WWII (Poland and other countries) [239]

Shortly after World War II, at the Nuremberg Trials, the Commando Order was found to be a direct breach of the laws of war, and German officers who carried out illegal executions under the Commando Order were found guilty of a war crime.

"Victors law"...nothing else! They did the same thing with the Germans they caught...

Well, that was common on all sites of the war.

Germans caught during the Operation Greif in american uniforms were shot half an hour later...no Hague convention for them.

Isnt it amazing the peace that the nuclear weapon has brought, never thought about that until now

Yeah...a great deterrent I must admit. And very probably kept the cold war "cold".
But bought on the backs of the people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki...

Well, Hitler was crowded into the corner...I doubt he would had denied any weapon if he had still any left...the whole country waited for one of those touted "Wunderwaffen"!

History / WAS KATYƃ GENOCIDE? Polish officers were killed [237]

NOTICE the Red Army soldiers in front, and the German soldiers to the side of the marching line; look closely to see their distinguisable helments.

Can you please point them out to me? I can't see them on this pic! *squints hard*

(Actually I see nobody with a helmet...)

Really? Then why did Russians win battles during Bagration using smaller forces.

Where did you get that?
Bagration is a prime example that the Russian needed the mass against the german class!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Bagration

WWII Military Death
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties

Soviet Union
8,800,000 to 10,700,000

Germany
5,533,000

...and not all of Germany's casualties came from the eastern front but all of Russias came from
the Germans!

And yes the Russians always outnumbered the Germans and suffered an average of at least 1:2

Oh they were THAT good....but you can only kill so many enemies till they are overrunning you.

You can look at every statistic but they show all the same numbers, the Russians lost several man and pieces for every german man and every piece of german metal...the german army was better, it just was not enough!

Untill 1944 you had and you got your arse handed to you on a silver plate, up to Kurks the result was arguable, after it was over so was Germany.

Erm....you are not calling the war on the eastern front an "arse handing", don't you?

I really understand and even appreciate your nationalism, your pride Sok but better stop here before you are making yourself looking like a fool.
You are not discussing seriously and objective here anymore...

no but i think the Russians gave you a taste of your own ruthless medicine :)

Well...who dishes out must be prepared to take it, only fair!

A strange thing Karma isn't it.....

But would you really call it Karma???
Russia paid a huge price and afterwards they had decades of more Gulags before them...compare that with Germany!

If that is Karma...curious thing...
