Life / Teenage Pregnancy in Poland [108]

That presupposes that every family is competent to manage their own affairs.

No, no it doesn't. However it does presuppose that families taking care of/supporting family members will work much better and over a longer duration than the ridiculous notion of calling on "the government" to do such things.

Life / Teenage Pregnancy in Poland [108]

^Absolutely Not!
Families must focus on younger people and keep the government OUT OF FAMILY LIFE!
Shut your mouth, calling for government to tell people how to live- they can't even manage the affairs they're mandated to at present.

Life / Teenage Pregnancy in Poland [108]

Countries like Sweden and others are going very good in managing teen pregnancy!!!

that's a bit of a joke imo. Families should be managing teen pregnancy, not federal administrations- a sign of the direction people are allowing things to go, I guess:(

Why sterilise? A depot injection where appropriate, proper, detailed, thorough (and judgement-free) sex education, encouragement to carry condoms and immediate (and judgement-free) availability of the morning after pill and abortion,

follow the conversation and tell me if that was my suggestion. I don't think it was but maybe I misinterpreted something and responded inaccurately:/

As soon as they are old enough to say "yes" to having sex. Sex means responsibility.

how many doctors would agree to sterilize a 16 year old if the kid asked them to? Kids seem to be much less emotionally mature than they were even just one generation ago. It ain't gonna happen but I still wonder at your thinking. Oh well, to each his own...

I propose making it just as easy to opt for sterilization as it is for pills or condoms making it a readily available option for those who choose it.

when do you propose a person of sound mind and body enough to make such a decision?

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

I disagree. Sharing the same weather or geographical area doesn't make them similar. Otherwise you could say that Germans and Poles are very similar or Poles and Ukrainians--and we know how that goes.

I did not write that weather and geographical area are the sole reasons for cultural similarities; you've simply misinterpreted the point.
Manitobans and Minnesotans are similar due to geography and weather because ethnicity, language, popular culture, standard of living and religion are already so similar. Because those things are so similar, you will find the bordering State and Provincial populations to be more similar than the northern border state populations are to the the southern ones. I thought this was common knowledge.

However you will find Poles to be more similar to Germans than to e.g. Greeks and you will find Poles and Germans to have closer bonds goegraphically and in terms of weather so there is something to say for those factors whether you are able to acknowledge it or not.

Americans are raised to think they are the best in the world at everything. They are ego centrical by nature and expect the world to accommodate them because they are American.Canadians don't have that.

It's like for some Canadians, a lot of their identity is that they aren't American, and if they didn't tell you in as loud a voice as possible, you'd never know.

Yes and no.
A lot of Canadians are very very similar to Americans in many more ways than they are different. It's more a question of geography than nationality with a lot of the U.S. and Canada. Minnesotans and and Manitobans are very similar in a lot of ways perhaps moreso than Minnesotans and Georgians or Manitobans and Quebecois.

The thing is, when people talk about a "national culture", quite often it doesn't exist as a homogenous thing.

that's kind of what I was getting at with your "rock n roll" example. How that element of culture actually gets expressed in daily life in the U.S. is something pretty hard to define. Overall though, I think I see what you're getting at.

History / Which countries are Polands friends, which are Polands enemies? [75]

Already covered this.

How did you do that? Where did you do that?

Do I need a special license from you?

No, why would you ask such a ridiculous question in response (unless such licenses do exist, then accept my apology) to a perfectly resonable one?

There is but it's not what you make it out to be.
When you write that American culture is rock'n roll, what do you mean by that exactly?

There is no question Poland needs to accept more immigrants,

Obviously there is a question, why do you feel "there is no question?"
Here are some questions for you:
Are there no unemployed people in Poland?
Have all Poles stopped feeling the need to move abroad in order to make enough to move out of their parents' homes or raise a family on their own?

Are Poles all doing so well and there's a shortage of man-power despite fair conditions and attractive offers?

If the answer to any of those is "no" then that means Poles need to ensure Poland is better for Poles first and then worry about others. Why is this concept so difficult for seemingly intelligent people to digest?

News / POLAND RATED TOP 10 MOST UNDERRATED COUNTRY [13]

Most people I've heard reflect on their trip to Poland have not been very overwhelmed with the place. Their biggest complaint? How dirty it was/is.

History / Which countries are Polands friends, which are Polands enemies? [75]

Countries aren't people- a person can like or dislike another person whereas the millions of people of one country usually don't know enough about the millions of people from another country to be able to make the same informed conclusion.

If you want to say most people in Poland don't like people from country x (or vice versa) then do so because as it stands your thread makes no real sense. It's a dumbed down way of trying to communicate something.

I also must ask, what the heck is the point of your question? What conclusions are you hoping to find and how would those be of any use to you?

Again, I reiterate, countries aren't people, speaking and writing as though they are reflects poorly on the thought one puts into an argument.

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

I'm not sure where you are actually from but is it normal in your home country for parents to work and pay taxes for a lifetime just so immigrants can come along and reap the benefits rather than their own native children? Why aren't your parents or your girlfriend's parents helping you?

Boom!!! goes the dynamite.

Travel / Driving in Poland, are there any rules at all? [149]

Yes, there is a risk involved, but it is the risk I am willing to take. As a matter of fact, it is the part of the fun.

So you're willing to risk other people's lives for your own "fun?"
Seriously, grab a pair and try that routine off public roadways; go do it with others who need that kind of rush and you won't be endangering anyone else's children.

Lets not make it personal, would we?

Wow, you get a little offended when someone makes an observation about you?
Let me see, I read something somewhat related...what was it? Ah, yes: "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."

Travel / Driving in Poland, are there any rules at all? [149]

kondzior
It's not a kitchen and you're supposed to stay cool on the road.

Your attitude is possibly the most dangerous of all. What's that, you're a skilled driver? Whoop-dee-fcukning-doo.

All you need is to be driving along at (let me guess here) 170km/hr or more and you've already created conditions for a major accident. You see, you're often not alone on the road:

People can get distracted
People can be tired
Animals can run onto the road
Vehicles can and do malfunction on the road

All these things go from minor accidents to situations where people get killed because some fool (that could be you in this case) is MORE important than everyone else and hasn't the balls to do really dangerous stuff on his own time when it's his a$$ and his a$$ only that has to pay the price when things go tits up.

That's the problem with the world today, everyone's a superhero behind their wheel and a cowardly old woman on their own.

News / Capitalism unravelling in Poland? [7]

^a secret sect that has been working religiously away from public scrutiny for thousands of years. Their goal? To corrupt everyone and thus entrap everyone i.e. no one will expose them because most everyone they have sought to corrupt has given in, the rest perished. This is common knowledge, isn't it?

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

Is it exploitation if it is permitted by written law?

others argue that such employers are taking advantage of the misery of these workers in their home countries and exploiting them...

Seems like you answered that yourself.

I have received over 300 stamps in my passport over the last 15 years.

if you're saying your passport is 15 years old then I have my doubts.

Its been tried. The people at the top just steal the money/aid given. Bokasa, Mugabi, Ghadaffi, the list is endless. If you want to end this, get rid of the Swiss Bankers.

Why don't people there rise up against such corruption? Well they do, but unfortunately they get put down, in fact any body who has ever been an honest candidate or rebel for equality has been put down- it's almost like there's a vested interest in maintaining the situation there.

UK, Ireland / Are Polish people importing a new wave of ancient racism into the UK? [402]

This is in the realm of sociology, which is not an exact science.

Fair enough. But what about my question:

if racism is a type of hatred based on a pseudo-science, could you define how that hatred is manifested and or expressed? How do you decide what qualifies as hatred and not only that but hatred based on racism and what doesn't qualify as one of those two things?

Racism is a type of hatred based on this pseudo-science. The people who believe in it disagree with my opinion.

Well they may not understand your opinion as they may disagree with the reasoning you've used to get to your opinion, but that's a maybe.

What I really wanted to comment on is your use of the words "hatred" and "racism" together. It's more of a question really, if racism is a type of hatred based on a pseudo-science, could you define how that hatred is manifested and or expressed? How do you decide what qualifies as hatred and not only that but hatred based on racism and what doesn't qualify as one of those two things? Is there a qualitative way to measure this or are we drifting towards pseudo-science?

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

However, some immigration is not entirely bad... Of course, that has to go hand in hand with other measures, which are not the subject of this particular thread.

It is not bad, I agree. However, I again must emphasize that it IS BAD when people feel they have no choice to improve their lives other than leaving the place they were born. The immigration that occurs on a large scale today is due to very bad conditions in many places, that has to be addressed before the conditions find their way into the place where you live.

While being a welcoming person may be a nice ideal, perhaps being critical of why things are so is a more pragmatic alternative.

I know someone that was born in a 3rd world country.

While that was a well meant post, it ignores some painfully evident truths and perhaps is a bit sad because of that. You really believe what you've written and appear oblivious to the facts. I've used your post for inspiration, it really was well written but have changed the perspective from examining the exception to presenting the cold reality:

I know someone that was born in a 3rd world country. He went to study in Canada in the 90s. He dropped out and got involved with a local ethnic gang, becoming an expert on the practical application of smuggling and human trafficking. He was caught but given a lenient sentence, and he received offers from several lawyers willing to argue why deporting him is against his rights. They were not concerned with past, his victims nor were they concerned with what effect he and people like him have had on their host community, only his skin colour and how that could be used to line their own pockets. This is how the US gets the worstt human capital. Do we see Russia needing to go going out of her way to recruit outstanding students from other countries? No we don't, because they have a tougher and stricter education system and that is why the US always loses the race to develop many more quality local students (have you seen where the U.S. places in education statistics?), and that is why they are getting worse every year.

In today's day and age, relying on immigration to maintain your standard of living, culture and progress is the first step to throwing out your culture, standard of living, values and progress.

iPhone in my pocket, invented by a white man.

with very precious minerals mined by exploited Africans, in exploited Africa

TV, same.

Laptop, same.

And that's the problem, when so many people are exploited, they're going to want to get out. The solution is to do what's right and improve life for people there not just pretend colour is the deciding issue- it isn't.

Who profits the most from their sh*tastic existence? Well white people do mainly.
Was it my decision to rape Africans of their history and land? No, but some people did make those decisions, however they haven't had to deal with any problems and pains that come with a multicultural society, the common person does. Meanwhile those same people keep getting richer and people in poor countries still keep getting treated worse than most people's dogs in the west.

How are going to change that?
First thing you've got to do is identify the real source of the problem.

Food for thought:
Where did Algebra originate?
Where would our butts be now without that invention?
Does that mean we go around bowing down to every Iranian or Iraqi we meet because "they" invented it?
Or does it mean we try to remember how unspecial we are simply due to where we were born and our skin colour?
