Travel / So I went to Warsaw - my thoughts after visiting Poland [88]

But that's the Poland that Dolno, Undercover, and millions of Poles actually want.

No we don't want crime to reach the proportions of other major cities around Europe especially drugs, yes those cops were looking for amphetamines, do you really think they wanted to be out of the car at -10c, (flash bike flash phone flash gopro)

Look at the carnage In London hundreds stabbed and shot in one year all to do with supplying the liberal leftie lovies with their recreational drugs (Does that ring a bell with you Doug).

Poland is tough on crime and criminals, the Police will do what is necessary to prevent the carnage you see in places like London if they upset or stop a few innocent people including myself then so be it.

Yes Doug millions of us want a safe country, we don't want a political correct Police force like that in London, too scared to stop and search while muggings acid attacks stabbings shootings drug dealing rapes and murder go on around them.

They actually want abuse of "power" and communism back! You really couldn't make it up.

Fool.

News / Polish Independence Day March in Warsaw. Is it going to be the biggest march yet? [1530]

They're actually from other marches held earlier in the day,

Out of interest what were the other marches celebrating on the same independence day?

What was the kid in the orange coat pictured in front of the palace of culture celebrating and what was the significance of the white and red armband on her left arm ?

They've lost their own country and now just want to spoil it for everyone since they're standing deep in excrements.

I don't think that is true, Modern Germany is still a very stable platform, one that has provided a great deal of support to Poland during it's transition from Soviet slavery, hundreds of thousands of Poles live and work there, there is huge scope for mutual co-operation as very close neighbours and allies.

It is thanks for recognising it, it's not a march celebrating Poland's victory over anyone or anything , purely a celebration of freedom.

My Grandfather was alongside Pilsudski , when the moment was right to win Poland's freedom from the imperialists whilst keeping the Bolsheviki hordes at bay, may family survived the communist concentration camps in Siberia, My father went on to fight The Nazis in the hope of a free Poland.

Sadly my father lost his war for freedom and Poland was lost again to soviet imperialists.

So yes the march is important to me, I remember those in my family that died in the camps and in battle , I always remembered and at times felt the pain that my father suffered when he lost the war and his country.

For me it is remembrance but also a time to celebrate freedom, sadly for Poland those times of freedom were historically very short lived.

Hang on , are poles living in Poland fuelling that thread? I think you need to look over the pond for your answer.

Do you feel attacked?

Yes when Germany pokes its nose into Polish affairs and keeps talking about Polish death camps.

I won't even mention your need for a private gas pipeline to Russia, circumventing your so called friend Poland.

When you need to apologise why you weren't there...when people not going will be accused of many things...maybe "traitors".

Now you are going into the realms of fantasy, for most of us its just about a good day out like the 4th of July in the US.

You have nothing to worry about, leave us in peace, as a German stop getting too involved in our affairs and traditions, many here are still very wary of German intent towards Poland, keep to the light and fluffy stuff.

In Germany we say..."The bigger the parade, the smaller the dick!

You are probably wise to look at it that way after all your history of goose stepping over most of Europe , Nuremberg rallies spring to mind.

Thing is all your marches were about conquering other nations , "deutschland uber alles" do you still sing that.

On the other hand Poland has not had and imperialist past and is only celebrating the overthrow of imperialist invaders that includes your Germany.

So keep thinking along the lines of Goose stepping = small dick, no one wants another war with germans that think they are big dicks again.

Then you will understand that the firework throwing random idiots are a MINORITY in Poland tens of thousands are ordinary citizens, multi generational families turn out to support this day, no different to the celebrations of the overthrow of British rule in the United states on the 4th of July.

There is a throw back to the days of communism when people would rise against authority. this will change over time, back to the way it was in the II republic.

Makes me wonder what your family taught you about what it means to be Polish.

self loathing racists who fancy a day out.

If that's what you want to call people celebrating the end of 120 years of imperialist rule, would you call Indians, Africans, Asians racist for celebrating the end of British empire ?

You need to get yourself an education, rather than soaking up commie libtard lies and propaganda.

Idiot

News / "It's too late for Germany" (but not for Poland) [1798]

Nothing it's over its nowt to do with your generation so you need to atone for nothing, but lest we all remember the horrors of past history and not make the same mistakes.

P.S just stop referring to "Polish death camps" in your press and keep out of Polish politics and all will be kline.

Is there really no law about police harrassment here

I see no harassment, a thorough and complete search was carried out, If Polish Police were to patrol the streets of London, there would not be so many dead from gun an knife crime, good to see the guy was compliant and respectful of the law, that's the way it should be.

Law / My partner is Polish lives in UK more than 10 years [17]

That was going to be my next post the last thing he wants is an international arrest warrant , his chance of getting visas to the US etc will be nill.

Please do not turn a drama into a crisis, he needs to go back now maybe even try and set a court date while still in England so he does not spend too much time awaiting trial, do something now before the police batter down his door at 4am in the morning.

Can we sorted out all this from England?

You could probably pre-notify the court that he is returning to face the court, but beyond that nothing, he has to return and plead his case there is no way around it.

Please??

He needs to put the child and its future first a few months sorting things out is no big deal, he could probably arrange for a visit to see his kid, and to be honest that would be my only priority.

going to arrest him for sure

Yes they will, and he will have to await a court hearing that's the way it is but he will be treated well and the fact that he gave himself up will help him in court.

Law / My partner is Polish lives in UK more than 10 years [17]

so what he should do?

He should go to Poland and immediately at the border explain that he has a warrant against him and he has come to face justice, I do not think the courts will treat him badly considering he has returned voluntarily, they will make an order as to what payments he needs to make , and as long as he sticks to it all will be fine.

But please take professional advice if you feel the need,

He should have paid money through the official channels, it's not a great deal of money for someone who is probably working in the UK,

He needs to go back to Poland and take care of business in the Polish courts, all will be well if he faces up to his responsibilities, if not polish jail can be tough.

laid for centuries

So in your opinion have we learned the lesson of hitler and the fertile soil thing, or are we still on a path of conflict . I gotta say where I came from Jews were no big deal never gave any problems didn't ever really figure in day to day life, well apart from Maureen lipman.

any more than Hitler created anti-Jewish hostility

Hitler was the most successful hostile to the jewish people in history, how can you possibly say he just fanned flames, frankly I am shocked at that statement, my father and tens of thousands others suffered huge loss trying to stop that genocidal maniac.

about 'migrants'.

Well the fact is that they are not the damaging undocumented unvetted migrants that people here worry about, they are students or professionals that Poland chooses to invite .

Thanks for the "Smart Arse" comment, I am a very good cook, especially indian and chinese food, I can blow some restaurants out of the water when it comes to quality. Curry houses are a clear sign of Indian settlement just look at sparkbrook as an example,

I was using this example as a social indicator proving that they are not settling here in numbers, I think they are leaving for better pickings once their study or contracts are over.

The only curry house near me is in Wroclaw and its crap, I would like to visit a good one to give me a break from cooking myself, you must know what I mean (smiley face).

So it would be nice to know why in general they choose not to settle here in any numbers.

Dolno! I'm surprised at you. The amount of prejudice

Huh it wasn't prejudice I just complained about his bragging, ok then I will respond by saying I am probably fifty times richer than him, pointless argument isnt it. he is on about UK and USA nowt to do with Poland.

I.m fed up of things going off topic and getting told off, my own fault I know lets get back to leaving Poland

So here is a question that relates to the thread, Where do all the indian's go when they leave Poland, India or Europe?.

I don't see many curry houses around so it does not appear that they stay here and settle down. I have to nip into Germany for a curry which is a shame.
