Some certainly do, however the Slavic world covers a wide area and some Slavs are dark, Some are redheads (and that may show Ashkenazi, Celtic or Viking blood.
I think that's an important part of the story, Nicki, but only part of the story.

Can you imagine much that is interesting and enjoyable in 'some Mormon village', Crowie?
Have any been held there? No, there's no appetite for one, nor is there a tradition of large parades of any sort. In Warsaw however there is very much a demand as well as a tradition of outdoor parties and celebrations, hence the successful parades
And the Warsaw authorities both recognise that and support it.

There seems to be some flexibility. A lady I know whose name ends in -wicz (let's call her Bartosiewicz for the purpose of this post) herself uses as far as I know Bartosiewicz, however I've heard others refer to her in a formal context as Bartosiewiczowa.

I'm glad you agree that changes such as marriage rights, access to abortion, transgender rights etc are moral and for the better.

And many more will come to Europe over the next few years. The question is whether we make the best of it or not.
Poland isn't the most attractive place for people who depend on benefits and the jobs market will get hugely worse if TTIP goes ahead however still people - and resourceful people - will come.
