Sometimes are higher values than pragmatism, and raison d'etat, but I agree that pragmatism is not a polish strong point.

You only show ( in what you wrote) that my idea is true!;)

I only know for a fact that my Wehrmacht-Grandpa had a close hungarian friend (a count in the hungarian army if I remember it correctly) who invited our family to live on his estate once the war was won.

I don't remember any talks about the fate of the Poles...

Sometimes pragmatism would serve you better, really! ;)

Are we talking about Austro-Hungary (which Poland was no friend of and one of the partitioners) or cut down, humiliated Hungary which lost most of it's land and is not a neighbour (but seemingly the best friend of Poland) ?

Hungarian weren`t nazis. They were only german short term allie.

They were also allies in WWI and got punished with land loss like the Germans...they are also still hurting from it (whereas Poles profited). They had the same reasons to go to war in WWII again like Germany!

If the Axis had won you wouldn't talk about all these alibis today (like "german pressure" etc.) today...think about it!

Frankly Jedwabne and many other massacres were pinned on the german troops after the war ended and Germany couldn't defend herself anymore. I believe there are much more of that out there...no chance to get the truth out anymore but I don't believe the demonization of the german troops anymore either. *shrugs*

Israel is fighting for survival...and as Poles rallied around the Catholic Church during the partitions once to keep their spirit and Polishness alive Israelis today rally around the remembrance on the Holocaust to help them keep up the fight, to remind them for what and why they are fighting. I can't blame them!

I can only again recommend the movie "Defamation"...youtube is your friend.

Typical American Jewish propaganda piece design to blame Poland and Poles for holocaust, full of distorted history and lies presented as a viewpoint of some uneducated Jew who does not even know his own History.

I have to agree here. I've thought the jewish youth should know better. The camps where build in Poland because of the millions of Jews here but still build by Germans, not Poles who were occupied at this time.

They should know this!

But the movie "Defamation" is a real eye opener in this regard...people should watch it.

Yeah, that's why Hungary allied with Germany in both world wars...;)
