An Aeroplane Museum?

There isn`t one in Gdańsk but you are on the right track.....

The big old aeroplane reflection kinda gives that bit away :)

It isn`t the reflection. It is a real..............model.

(1950s/60s Ilushin?

Nope!

Or a B17G ?)

Close. It also had 4 engines.

Ok, its a DOOR(s) of some type?

Hey, come on! Are you tired? :):):) Of course not!

Please, concentrate and recall everything you know about planes!

In a light house?

Sorry, no.

I think it's a light on the pavement. I'm not sure but I seem to remember such lights near the Neptune fountain?

Wow, that is one of the most imaginative answers ever! :):):):)

Sorry, miss.

Hint:

Break on Through (To the Other Side)

and see what is on

The Other Side of the Glass.

UK, Ireland / First proper "Polish" School in the UK - The Next Stage of Ghettoisation [283]

You are given a Camera,a plasma screen TV and a BMW or Audio upon entry to the UK,didnt you know that?

OK, I am going!!

And I don`t mind that some obsessed Brits may call me a parasite. They are losers, green with envy.

303 Squadron wasn`t the only one which saved Britain!! There were more of them!!! Time to repay old debts!!!

PS. I also need a good computer because it would be stupid to take my Polish one into the UK.
I dodn`t need a mobile as I like my present one. I have had it for a year. I am a traditionalist.

The copy of Our Lady from Częstochowa and the eagle are the only two elements which had been completed before Jankowski ran out of funds.

Yes, it`s parts are made of amber! Nice idea.

Next

What does it remind you of and where in Gdańsk can you see it?

If possible you should bring your neighbors kids along for the registration. Once complete, you can send them back, but enjoy the continuing benefits....

Thank you for good advice. People in UK are so friendly!! I will love meeting them in person!

PS. I hope they won`t mind seeing Canon camera on my immigrant`s neck and they will keep their distance.

Will you still be posting pictures when you emigrate?

Of course. I will post pictures from run down areas where immigrants get cheap social housing from authorities.

But why are you asking?

Provided, of course, that the benefits allow you to buy a camera.

Come on, I expect benefits will be high enough to satisfy my needs. I am thinking of this stuff because we have always used Canons in my family:

photographyblog.com/reviews/canon_eos_7d_review/

But it costs nearly 1500 quid.

That is why I asked about kids benefit in UK and nobody answered! Will our 1-month, 3 kids benefit suffice to buy this stuff or I will need to save for 2 months?

No,no,you missed the lesson of the car in the canal. Its not to keep your distance, its ,well, if they wanted help they'd just ask and you'd be presumed to go out of your way to give it.

Come on, don`t make simple things more complicated than they are....... :):):):)

.....just like Poles love doing.

I guess in the end its as hard to explain as the bits in the three colours films where my Polish friends just look at my blank face and say *Oh,thats just so Polish/Varsovian * . and I just nod politely :)

:):):):):):)

Keeping your distance, that`s so simple.

Bigger Goliath?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._John%27s_Archcathedral_%28Warsaw%29
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borgward_IV

That's a mere red herring. The church in Hel was a much closer shot ;)

Hmm, we were twice in Hel and I don`t remember visiting any churches there. My bad!

OK, reveal the secret of the photo.

would it be the same one that has a bit of Golaith Track built into the wall?

Yes, the archcathedral in Warsaw. They display God`s Mother from Częstochowa painting in the main altar.

PS. Not Goliath but another vehicle with much more powerful explosive. Its name starts with B.

:):):):):) Who says such things?

PS, Im sticking with Warsaw, the image rings a bell from a guide book buried somewhere in my attic now.....
Im sure its somewhere very near the Old Town, royal palace, sigismund statue area.....

I know which church and which ornament there you are talking about but sorry, nope, they are quite different, indeed.

If you have seen Full Monty then, that scene where they are stuck on the car in the middle of the canal and ,when a man walks past instead of asking for help they just nod and say hello's,no akward questions from the passer by,just an acceptance that strange things happen.....sums up part of the Yorkshire spirit better than any sociology essay ever could :)

Yorkshire spirit, you say. Isn`t it traditional English attitude which rules in all the country?

OK, I will try to apply it when I already settle in the UK. When I see guys trying to keep balance on a car`s roof in the middle of the river, I will keep my distance. :):):)

Also should I keep my distance when I see a guy trying to commit a suicide in his car? (next scene from Full Monty which you probably liked). :):):):)

Life / What are the most conservative cities in Poland? [10]

From personal experience, some young ladies in Lublin are not in the slightest bit conservative.

Come on, hookers are everywhere..... Their presence doesn`t make a city/town less or more conservative....

Not to sound disrespectful, but, wow, that 1970s Christian deco really, really sucks.

:):):):) Nope.

BTW, what icon are you talking about? I cant` see any.... :):):):)

Ha, ha! I know what it is, but I'll keep quiet for now.

Ha ha!!

And no, it's not Warsaw. Pawian has recently visited the seaside.

But sometimes we make a stop over in Warsaw coming back from the seaside....

Its *mate* not *buddy* if you are moving here :)

I heard mate in Full Monty and didn`t like it. Polish immigrants mustn`t smear the language of the country they are staying in with silly words.

We will change this mate into buddy which sounds much friendlier.

Or, *flower* if you are heading for The North :)

You mean Pansy?

The case you are talking about is very similar to that one of some Poles here trying to overthrow the present Polish government by attacking it in their posts, sipping cold beer over the keyboard. :):):):):)

Sure that will help you.

Thanks a lot!! You are a real buddy.

But I also need to know about benefits for kids. I have 3. How much will I get?

Guys, job possibilites for English teachers in Krakow are shrinking. There are fewer and fewer students in the city as they are leaving for the UK.

I am thinking of letting my 2 flats in Krakow for a few years and going to the UK with my wife and 3 kids. I believe there will be more job opportunities for me in Polish areas.

Can you tell me what kind of dotation I will get from the British government? Where should I submit documents and what kind? How high is the benefit for 3 kids? What benefit do I get when I register as unemployed? (still working as a teacher of course, unofficially, but don`t tell it anyone).

PS. Kids can go to a British school, I don`t mind, I will teach them the language.

News / Poland at International Mathematical Olympiad [13]

Surely, maths helps in acquiring a foreign language, at least English. It is strange but I have observed, together with other English teachers in our school, that math-physics classes perform better at final exams than arts and humanities ones. Somehow, an ability to think in abstract terms contributes to it.

These guys were absolutely the top in their fields, but many of them couldn't make eye contact and practically hid behind their coats rather than answer my Good morning.

Geniuses have it like this. Our genial Math teacher from high school was like that. His knowledge was extremely vast but once he disappeared from school for a few months and later we learnt he had to spend time in mental hospital because life and dealing with people in everyday matters was so stressful for him.

Jeez,is it some sort of lizard, or frog, a newt maybe?

Yes, one of these! Which one?

ts big whatever it is.

Yes, it is fekking big and that`s why the Museum of Amber in Gdańsk spent a lot of money on it! :):

Its not a baby Dinosaur is it? Pawianosaurus Rex?

BTW, amber stones with the content are called inclusions.

Yes, I think it is for primary pupils. The boards suggest that spelling is taught there. It is in the fun center.
