Love / Well.. I got a Polish girl pregnant.. [88]

he should have thought these before travelling to poland and making a girl pregnant there.

it was not the plan was it, it has been outlined already and now they are trying to find the best solution. just glad it wasn't abortion.

this is also about the future of baby.

this is by all means about the future of the children, that's what the fuss is all about

Love / Well.. I got a Polish girl pregnant.. [88]

she probably wants to go to usa and that usa guy does not want to live in poland.

the guy wants the best for his gf and their babies and he probably can't provide them with that in Poland, especially if he hasn't got a job there. you would naturally want what is best for your family and if the prospects for that are better in the US then i don't see why they shouldn't move.

Love / Find a Polish girl using Internet [67]

the thing with people you meet online is that as you get to know them personally, even though you think you know and like them already based on what you found out about them over the internet, you realise you don't know them at all. at first it's the little things that start bothering you, their sayings, their habits, their way of life which you obviously didn't get to experience. then you see the whole picture, you learn they are not what they made out to be, there are a lot of but's and if's. on top of all that, if you approach this with some sort of expectations based on their nationality, supposed mentality and things you heard, you are in for a massive disappointment. and i mean massive. if you are prepared to go through all this, and i can guarantee you will because everyone i know who tried online dating including myself did not meet the ONE first time over, or second, not even third time. it takes a long time, if you are to get lucky at all. people don't walk around with their personal 'profiles' written all over them so you don't have expectations about them like you do after chatting to them online for a bit and absolutely loving what they write about themselves. if you want someone to eventually move to a foreign country after meeting you online then boy, welcome to the world of pain and disappointment! i would recommend either looking around and finding a decent woman, be it Polish or not, or going on a vacation to Poland and seeing for yourself if a Polish woman is really what you would like.

Love / Well.. I got a Polish girl pregnant.. [88]

If this pregnancy was unintentional between you two then all I can say is that you're a ******* idiot. It's a sad thing that a moron has to breed.

it's a sad thing that a moron thinks he can advise other people on how to live their lives and how and when to breed. the guy wasn't asking for a moral asessment but for ways to get his pregnant girlfriend a visa so she can stay with him in the US. is that so morally wrong? accidents happen and not all pregnancies are planned despite there being so many contraceptive methods these days. so if you can't answer to the question posed by the thread's author, put a sock in it.

Love / English boyfriend coming to visit me in Poland [55]

I'd take that as a personal insult to be honest. So basically he will never really be welcome as long as they live in a flat which will ofcourse be for ever.

it does sound a bit unwelcoming, isn't it supposed to be 'czym chata bogata tym rada'?

Life / Awkward Polish dinner party conversations with 'patriots' ... [25]

Depends on the company and who they are to you, but i wouldn't recommend getting into a full on arguement. If they go a bit too far just say honestly that their comments are not acceptable and that you are sat at a table with them to have a good time and a nice conversation, not to debate about who's better than who. If they carry on... who the hell do you hang out with?! Lol. When everybody's waiting anxiously for your answer to all the accusations they made, you can always sneeze loudly and say 'sorry i'm allergic to bullsh*t', get up and leave ;).

Food / Why is it that some Polish people refuse to eat anything that is not Polish? [120]

Frankly eyeballs, shrimp or crab are the things I would never have eaten.

i have a Polish friend who refuses to eat shrimp because they 'look like worms' lol. i tried to convince her, give her a bit of my seafood salad and she would run away and everything ha ha. it's all in the mind i say, many foods sound or look disgusting at first but trying just a little bit will not only broaden your horizons but also convince you to experiment with different dishes in your own kitchen. i'd never even think of having poultry or meat with a sweet sauce before i came to England and tried out all the different foods available here. i was used to traditonal Polish cuisine, lovely and full of flavour but maybe too 'heavy' sometimes... i prefer lighter stuff like salads or chicken/seafood dishes myself.

Food / Polish culinary dislikes [83]

Lamb poles hate Lamb.

it smells

Polish people take rapidly to Mexican food but don't like barbecue very much (or much of any English cooking).

i'd say that bbq food is quite big in Poland, we love it. it's called 'grill' and you have a grill party after grill party every summer, with loadsa beer. why do you say it is English cuisine??? i do agree though that Polish people don't tend to go crazy for the English food, especially those nasty sausages you get in supermarkets (they should not even be called sausages) and steak and kidney pie yuck. mexican food, not so sure about that, many Poles freak out at the thought of Chinese food, but they are quite fond of Indian, and of course pizza, Italian food in general is absolutely great.

Pumpkin pie was also not a big hit at Thanksgiving parties I've been to in Poland.

Thanksgiving parties in Poland? what?? i had my reservations but pumpkin pie is delicious, so is carrot cake, which is not that popular in Poland.

The biggest turn off however is soft white bread, which almost all Poles react to with something like revulsion.

???

I've never come across American style pie (with the right kind of crust) in Poland.

you mean the sort of crunchy/french cake with apple filling like in macdonalds? is that apple pie in the US? i feel sorry for you lot lol. what about the British apple crumble, that's quite nice.

American style biscuits are unknown (as are their British cousins scones).

not a big fan of the whole Sunday tea thing with scones, jam and double cream, too much fecking around with that lol

Food / Polish culinary dislikes [83]

doesn't sound appealing does it ;). in the olden days when a lad was visiting his potential wive's parents for dinner and they served him czernina, it meant that they didn't accept his advances. i wonder if he still had to eat it, or could he just stand up and leave...

Food / Polish culinary dislikes [83]

not a fan of marmite. i like licorice, marshmallows (who doesn't??), apple pie is very popular in Poland (jabłecznik mmm) do you mean have it with cheese?? i like mint sauce but only with onion bhajis :) and squid is quite nice too. mexican food is good but i don't like spicy stuff so only the mild things...

flaki (soup made of cow stomachs cut to pieces)
kapusta kiszona (sour cabbage)
smalec (greasy white thing with pieces of fried bacon we put on bread)
maślanka (hmmm)

but it's all good stuff. what about:

czernina (soup made with blood)
móżdżek cielęcy (calves brains)
zimne łapki (kurze nóżki w galarecie) (cold feet aka hens' feet in jelly)

oh and how do Polish people feel about pigs' trotters and oxtail soup? ;)

Love / Opinion from Polish men on this please (Polish men so 'spiritually' romantic?) [43]

As for living half his life in USA.... does he have passport? =) ... oh what am I saying =D ...

a bit of sarcasm there, i like it ;)

The moment you loose your grip, and as you say 'give in', you're back in the ORDINARY GIRL's bench for him. Count on that. Then he will just smile at himself, and laugh at you ... somewhere inside himself.

oh very very true, you have to get the timing right because the fututre of a relationship pretty much depends on it. sometimes it feels 'right' and sometimes it feels right to wait, makes it all that bit more worthwhile and special.

Love / Opinion from Polish men on this please (Polish men so 'spiritually' romantic?) [43]

this is all very romantic but surely you can't expect that all Polish men are like this, we know just about as much about whats going on in his head as you do. cherish what you have, don't over think stuff and stick to your guns if you wanna wait with the sexy times till after getting married ;). if he truly loves you, he'll be more than happy to wait until you're ready. so try not to give in, or maybe wait till you get engaged at least or something lol. good luck!!

News / What Poland can't do right [113]

krystal, I'm glad you have a more positive outlook and generosity to others today.. :)

my thoughts exactly, at least we have one person on the board saying nice things about Poland and it's lovely women lol. happy new year!! ;)

I am here to help you not getting desperate and commit suides or go jump to lake.

hey misses, as much as i enjoy deciphering your English i just have to point out that by your negative comments you are not exactly solving this situation. not everybody, and i dare say probably the majority of people on here, shares your views on Polish women. young people today do all sorts of silly things and wear all sorts of funny clothes, regardless of their sex and nationality. you're a mature lady, so if you're trying to be 'hip' then please stop nagging.

Love / How Polish boy will show the symptom that he is love? [27]

He will look like a dead man. Basically his life and freedom as he knows it is over.

ha ha too true. i think there's no point wondering what the other person is feeling, if you really wanna know just ask them.... if you're brave enough

just for honeymoon, is it worth to marry or not.

a lifetime of misery just for that? no thanks!

Off-Topic / PF - The Omnibus Edition [1502]

well, at least in western cultures.

move to pakistan and beat up your wife everyday if she becomes emotional

So if (some) women become emotional it's still men's fault?

it can be SOME men's fault, and it seems that the better they know how annoying they are, the more they do it. aren't you guys more like children? i've never seen a woman almost cry with pity for herself when she had a cold :).

Love / Polish girls, how are they when they are in love? [86]

you guys sure know how to pick 'em weirdest, most mental Polish girls out there

if I cancel on a guy its because Im not that interested (something better came up), because if I was interested I'd be dying to spend time in his company and I think that goes for all women...

i'd cancel or rearrange anything i had planned beforehand if i was to see a guy i really liked. oh and by the way i'm a Libra :)

;)

In general, most women on PF have calmed down. It must be due to a smaller amount of annoying males who used to frequent this forum.

spot on

Love / Met a Polish girl on the Internet, and I'm soon off to meet her... [82]

To descripe her a little... she LOVES beer! and singing and dancing... and laughing and having a good time is what she loves too. I think she is very easily amused ...

oh god, this sounds like just about any girl, more like a teenager though rather than a 22 year old to be honest. you obviously find it quirky and charming so you never know - it might work, where are you from?

i dont even like anyone here (:

aww is that because nobody likes you? it must suck big time that females in the real world as well as females online really don't find you that attractive, i'm not surprised Shelley wasn't interested, as well as at least one more female member of this precious forum :). i know, i know :)

your comments here were uncalled for and pretty horrible. you hardly post anything at all and then you come up with a load of insults out of the blue, do you get off on that? you're pathetic, and if meeting people online is such an unsociable thing to do then why don't you remove yourself off the internet for good and spare us those bitter little coments written in retarded English?
