That's cool.

Another thing I find problematic about girls asking guys out is that she won't know how he really feels about her. How many guys are going to turn down a nice girl who asks him out? Many would just go along with it hoping for an easy score. And how often do we see girls complaining about guys that are players and users and not knowing how they really feel? Just asking for trouble... adds to the problem...

Holland is reversing the ban for small pubs.

There is a study going on right now polling the military on DADT. I agree with Gates that it's important to take that into account, and then send it to the Congress. Of course, Congress doesn't listen to the military much anyway, but, we'll see.

Yes, they should listen to the soldiers who will be the ones impacted by the change. But Libs won't. They put their feelings and wants above all else, things like facts, science, reason, laws, democracy...

And Gates just came out saying how the dirty LibDems should repeal DADT during the lame duck session before the LibDems get booted from office. Jerk. The new head of the Marines has come out strongly against the repeal and stated clearly that the military shouldn't be fiddled with as some domestic social issue (this a clear shot at the meddling Libs).

Um, no. They were mostly all Christians, practicing to various degrees. And their kids all attended schools where they openly prayed to God. And they all owned guns. They certainly weren't Modern Liberals.

Have a read through the federalist papers or some of the works of Adams and Jefferson to get a feel for what they wanted.

Wow, a 74 year old senile Professor, who is in fact one of the last psychologists on this planet who still believes that homesexuality is curable. Oh, and keep in mind that last so-called study dates back from 1961, when homosexuality was still reviled, and considered socially unacceptable.

I think it's funny (despicable) when Libs use the concerted underhanded Lib efforts to incrementally change perceptions in society as some "proof" that society has changed for the better and this somehow lends credence to their arguments today.

No such thing has been "proven". That other armies didn't collapse when they had gay forced on them is hardly a valid argument. Besides, we're talking about the US here, not Lib Europe. The matter of DADT should be put to a vote of active duty troops and the results written in stone. Any attempts to repeal after that should bring jail time.

Right. The jerk was the guy's roommate for crissake. Just how much hate could he have held for gays? He likely would have done the same thing had the guy been straight.

Instead of jumping off the bridge, what he should have done is go sock the jerk in the nose, like most peeps would.
If anything this ugly incident shows the failed logic of forcing straights and gays to bunk together out of some misguided Lib need to force "tolerance" and "inclusion" to the point of cohabitation... repealing DADT comes to mind. Some straights are made uncomfortable and it opens gays to harassment.

Hardly a sympathetic group/ cause.

What's the problem that needs correcting? Society has been fine for thousands of years without formal gay marriage, as has our nation since its start. Suddenly, now there is this 'great injustice' that needs correcting?? Nah.

Why discriminate against someone for something so superficial?

No one is being discriminated against. Failing to grant special rights does not equal discrimination.

You can find that kinda mantra for almost any section of society though.

I'm not prepared to concede this point, but even if it were true... As others here have mentioned, gays enjoy acceptance in society (forced tolerance and sensitivity, inclusion, special rights, celebration, great PR thanks to their friends in the Media and Entertainment...) while other groups with radicals do not. Other entire groups are marginalized when members go over-the-top, unlike gays. We never hear someone say, "Well, gee, I'm sure not all KKK members want to kill blacks. So let's give the group the benefit of the doubt..."

I did a bit of research on that mantra...

I knew as soon as I posted that you'd find a way to discredit it. Here's the the thing(s):

1) That was just the first thing that popped up on a quick search.

2) Doesn't matter one bit if that particular one was a farce or not; I have seen similar Gay Agenda stuff out there that is just like that and some of it even uglierthat wasn't fake.

3) Certainly there is no denying that many of the agenda items mentioned in it are quite evident in our society today.

4) That's the thing about humor: it has to contain a degree of truth in order to be funny.

That's horrible. The poor guy should maybe have been a bit more thick-skinned, but he sure as hell didn't deserve 'friends' like that.

That was sad but hardly a hate crime. That he was gay could have been beside the point. He was obviously unstable somehow from the start. Turns out that no one saw the streamed vid anyway; the jerks didn't know how to post it correctly, or something.

I already posted who owns the major studios in Hollywood and their political associations.

You need to learn more about Hollywood. They have a new Black List under which Righties have difficulty even getting their movies made. If one doesn't tow the prescribed Lib Line they are ostracized.

And maybe try actually watching some movies sometime with someone who can point out for you the Liberal messaging in the majority of their offerings anymore.

This is an absurd conversation to even be having.

Usually political donations are a good indication as to political leanings.

And I just showed you how sometimes peeps and corps work against their own interests. And often corps will try to cover their bases in an effort to win favor should the other side seize power.

Do you donate to politicians supporting gay rights? Probably not...

Why would I support that hokum? They already enjoy the very same rights as me. The rest is nothing more than unreasonable militant minority demands.

And your political donations mean little to nothing. For example, the American Left Liberals constantly are attacking Christianity, and yet Catholics reliably vote with them when they vote Dem. Same for Jews here. The Rad Lefties are anti-Israel but our Jews reliably vote Dem anyway. Things don't always make sense. ...and peeps sometimes vote against, and corps make political contributions against, their own interests.

Supporting a retirement that isn't viable unless there are new workers isn't a good reason to ostracize homosexuals.

But it is a legit point that gays aren't adding to the replacement population.

It's not about a girl being pushy, per se. Guys want to feel like they are doing the pursuing and can get turned off if a girl come across as too eager. I know I do. She can flirt and make herself available and even give him little nudges, but as for asking the guy out, nah. The closest I ever want a girl to do is maybe playfully say 'are you ever going to ask me out?' That should do the trick, even with a shy guy.
