Welcome to Lemmingrad!

Poles have often found ways of distressing their oppressors. During the occupation there was 'Hycler kaput' graffiti, or they would change the 's' to an 'l' in Nazi sloganms to spell out 'Deutschland liegt an allen Fronten'.

Duirng martial law it was said that Poland was going to be renamed Ubekistan... the new currency would be the Jaruzel or 30 pieces of silver, adn the new PRL man would be called Homo-Zomo.

Now people are saying that Warsaw's name has been changed to Lemmingrad.

Who exactly and where?

"people are saying" - you mean a tiny fringe minority of people who live on the internet instead of actually going to work or living their lives.

Anyway, they can say what they want, you and your sickening friends are getting nowhere near power. It doesn't belong to you and you're simply - not getting it.

So you equate with Lemmingrad?
Remember: only idiots say never! The time is drawing near when the Tuskist scammongers will be swept away by the broom of honesty, righteousness and transparency. The CBA will ride again!

So you equate with Lemmingrad?

I equate Warsaw with being the proud capital of an independent, free Poland.

Anyway, who are these people? Where do you hear it?

It has become common parlance: Andzej Sikora, Mietek Kwiatkowski, Roman Szulc, Ewa Mitra, Ala Wilk, Jan Kozłowski, Krystyna Mazur, Michalina Szewczyk, Andrzej Knot, Andrzej Szczygieł, Anna £abędzka, Kuba Bystrowski, Robert Mastalski, Adrian Knapik.... I can add more when I think oif them... Believe it or not, I did not coin the term.. If you're unfamilair with it that only means you do not fraternise with real Poles, only fringe-goup yuppies, careerists, toadies and others brown-nosing the powers that be.

Where did that rather obscure list of names come from? Your address book?

a tiny fringe minority of people who live on the internet instead of actually going to work or living their lives

Including the massed ranks of Polams in Shelby Township, Michigan, pop. under 4000. A man with his finger on the pulse.

Who are these people?

As for lemmingi, that's a buzz term for PO supporters, mostly used on GW fora, which doesn't surprise me a bit as most of Polonius' threads directly reflect the contents of the GW news site for the day.

Buzz term!
What a lemming turn of phrase!

Lemming was coined in a light-hearted article. Certain people are devoid of humour and voiced their total and utter disgust at the outrageous lack of respect (while earlier some other people cracked jokes about zimny Lech and mad old grannies at church ... which was alright).

Buzz term! What a lemming turn of phrase!

is it? Why?
I heard this word for the first time a few weeks ago but since then, it's been like an internet epidemic and it's used to show contempt towards PO voters. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think these are just the criteria for a buzz word.

Who are these people?

Made up in Polonius' head. Either that, or they're the 'identities' of Gazeta Polska journalists.

Who are these people?

The new PiS cabinet.

Or other PiSuarzy.

Try to google this phonebook list. Very entertaining. 70% of the electorate think most likely the same.
I asked at work and my colleagues were scratching their head.

Most people that actually work were doing the same.

How many of them read Rzepa? If your circle of acquaintances are limtied to the GW ghettto, then no wonder!

What was that about 'blanket statements', Polonius?

Then again, you're the one that seems to be far more familiar with GW than the rest of us.

'Know thy enemy', so yes I read GW, but Rzepa is my paper of preference. Read it and maybe you'll finally learn some truth about Poland. rather than just the liberal-leftist propaganda.you get in the %#&#¤?=*ęß$£&¤#?! Gazette.

I think we know far more about the 'truth' in Poland than someone who spends his days creating endless new topics on PF. You claim to be in Warsaw, yet you didn't even bother to go out to observe the march first-hand on Saturday. That, for me - speaks wonders about you.

Incidentally, I don't recall reading homosexual hating, feminist loathing, TV Trwam loving articles in the paper that you mention. Perhaps you'd like to link us to some?

Who said I wasn’t at the march. I had a good view of it from the kerb and saw a placard that aptly said: ‘PO złodzieje!’ Others passing by proclaimed ‘Nie chcemy pracować aż do śmierci’, ‘Demokracja bez krytycznych mediów przekształca się w tyranię’ and ‘TV Trwam to nasze Westerplatte i nie możemy zdezerterować’. It was an exilirating experience watching Polish democracy in action!!!

If people like you ran the country that would be an apt description, luckily for all concerned that is not the case. Actually with people like you running the show a more apt description would be the Republic of Catholic Taliban, and Warsaw would be named Talibanastan.

Except it wasn't democracy in action. Democracy means voting in representatives to represent you - not attempting a show of force on the streets. Putting people on the streets was what Hitler did to intimidate people.

And you weren't at it because you spent the whole afternoon posting on here.

As for linking TV Trwam to Westerplatte - how dare they. These people wouldn't know a fight for freedom if it slapped them around the face. I'm sure most of them were exactly the type that the Communists loved - passive, accepting and obedient. They only discovered their voice when the hard work was done and the battle for freedom won.

Andzej Sikora, Mietek Kwiatkowski, Roman Szulc, Ewa Mitra,

So come on, spill the beans. Who ARE these people?

And you weren't at it because you spent the whole afternoon posting on here.

Very true. Maybe bilocation?

Why everybody want to convince me I'm not Polish?I heard this expresion but it's nothing important. And certainly I wouldn't compare it to the occupation times. And you know why?Because anyone who thinks PO shouldn't run this country CAN vote for someone else.

TV Trwam to nasze Westerplatte i nie możemy zdezerterować’.

This is just wrong and stupid.

Poeple I interviewed during and after the march.

So people associated with a fringe movement (let's be realistic - 50,000 people is very much fringe) then.

Because anyone who thinks PO shouldn't run this country CAN vote for someone else.

The problem is that they think 70% of the population is retarded and not real because they vote for someone else.

And with such arrogance, they stay very much in opposition. Forever.

Which is a very very good thing for Poland.
