Poznan Castle did Hitler stay there?

Poznan castle was converted into a residence for Adolf Hitler in the style of the Third Reich by Albert Speer. Can anyone say if Adolf Hitler actually stayed there or not? If he did stay there for a period of time, however short, could you please provide me with a link to the information.

I'm trying to find information to re-educate an 8yr old child who believes Hitler had nothing to do with Poznan and is a hero because his dad told him; so his mum must be a liar. Some parents just don't deserve to be.

A hero were the words used. It is said the grandfather was an SS officer. Maybe family traditions. I hear he beat the cr*p out of an elderly guy that asked for money on a tram near Olszynka in Poznan on Friday. It would be interesting if this story could be confirmed in some way. I doubt it can but I do know the beaten guy was arrested.

Seriously? Are you trying to resurrect that old rumor based solely on the testimony of one old man who was an alleged witness to that event but never confirmed by neither any other eyewitness testimony nor any kind of official documentation though many historians tried. According to him, Hitler’s’ secret visited to the castle in 1939 lasted only couple of hours but do you seriously think that a megalomaniac like Hitler would be able to resist himself and keep it a secret? The kid and his father are right; Hitler had nothing to do with Poznan and if I were you I would leave Hitler and Elvis sightings where they belong, the science fiction section.

The wiki article says nothing about Adolf actually spending any time there. That is why I asked the question. If you can't point me to something useful, don't bother.

Enlighten us, please, you know for a fact that an 8yr old child needs to be re-educated as his parent is apparently wrong yet you don’t know anything about the subject matter and the evidence gathered so far clearly points out that the child is right.
