Well, they weren't in the late 30's. Which is what the goddamn discussion is about, Professor.
What late 30s? Brits werent fighting the Germans in the late 30s, they declared war but there wasnt any serious fighting.
If GB is doing well right (and thats debatable) it's thanks to an EU more or less created with the US's help and assistance. Surely, your finely tuned mind can grasp that.
Last i checked the founding countries were France, West Germany, Belgium Luxemburg and Italy, i dont know how you manage to squeeze any US involvement in there but given your lack of education and chauvinism thats not a suprise really.
Seriously, best to practice what you preach, Professor. You aren't nearly as exalted as you think. Your farts stink like any other. However I bet you can tell what the Soviets smell like.
Whatever, its just fun to point out to you how you humiliate yourself with every next post you make, its not that you're nasty, there's some pretty nasty anti-Polish fvcks like The Other or Harry, you're just amusingly stupid :)
USA had nothing to do with EU, its an exclusively European venture, as for WW2 US was doing horribly badly against the Germans, American soldiers were by comparison cowardly, incompetent and unwilling to sacrifice themselves, sorry buddy but the movies like "Band of Brothers" dont really reflect on the historically poor performance of the American soldiers.
Then again all Western countries performed badly when compared to Germans or Russians (or Poles when they still had a standing force).
