Looking for This Photo of Main Street Warsaw WW2

According to the book By Frederick Dale Bruner, Matthew: The Churchbook, Matthew 13-28 - ISBN9780802826701, Zdzislaw Tawlik of Poland received an honorary doctorate at Whitworth College in 1984 and told this story.

At the end of WW2 only one skeletal structure remained standing on Warsaw's main street, the Polish Headquarters of the British and Foreign Bible Society. Many religious Poles considered it kind of a shrine. The words on it's only remaining wall were clearly legible from the street. "Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away".

If this story is true, there should be a photo and it should be well known. Can anyone help me find this photo?

There is a famous photo of Prudential building damaged in Warsaw uprising but I'm not sure about Bible Society building.

[Moved from]: Interesting exposition in Warsaw

In 'Dom Spotkań z Historią" on ul. Karowa (near Hotel Bristol) there is again a very interesting photo expo. dsh.waw.pl/pl/3_1468

In 1947 a group of American architects visited, amongst others, Warsaw to see how the postwar reconstruction was going on. A American photographer, Harry Cobb, was making a unique series of colour photographs of 1947 Warsaw. Worth seeing.

By the way, DSH is one of the more interesting cultural institutions in Warsaw. They have a really good program of readings, expositions, movie screenings etc. And a very good bookshop.

We walked today on Krakowskie Przedmieście past the Bristol Hotel, and saw the open-air part of this exposition. Very,very good.
It gave a weird feeling to see Warsaw in crystal-clear colour photographs...They looked somehow from a movie scene -
Surreal - because you look at photos taken from a destroyed city (and in full reconstruction) but because of the colour they looked...weird :)
Because we are of course used to see photos from that epoch in black/white.
The comments also were very good - as to be expected from DSH.
We definitely will go back for the museum part of it.

Merged: WW2 Warsaw Photo That's Not Easily Forgotten

I've seen much more graphic photos in researching Warsaw during the war. There's a shot of a girl screaming over the ruined body of her older sister that rips my heart out. Another of a Polish soldier consoling a boy whom just lost his mother. But this one photo in particular, scares me. What is happening? What became of them? Where is the father? The look of quiet desperation on the young mother makes we want to reach through time and do... something. I hope everyone here made it.

This is a very touching photograph... I would like to see more like this if anyone could attach here..
