Kwaśniewski stays remembered as Polish politician who passionately supported NATO attack on Yugoslavia and Serbia. i am curious, what Poles think on that. Shall we say that Kwaśniewski was a Slavic traitor? with it, traitor of Poland, too?
Aleksander Kwaśniewski was Slavic traitor, shame of Polish politics? What Poles think?

From where I was sitting it looked like if NATO didn't intervene this war was never going to be over. But I'm in no way an expert on what was *really* going on there.

Think from the position of "Humanity" ... once humanity stands infront of us, Slavic or Non-Slavic identities diminish instantly! Bottom Line!
From where I was sitting
exactly. At least you are honest. my respect to you
It's true. Any intervention in Yugoslavia wasn't because of geo-political alliances. It was because large numbers of people were being killed.

Oh so I reckon Star Trek's over. You should try SyFy channel they've got tons of that kind of stuff, non-stop, back to back you name it. Such a bonanza of fresh ideas for Slavija!!

JonnyM, you are naive. Well, let`s say, because i don`t wish to be rude
NATO/EU created situation so that they can intervene. Then, when they finally intervened they increased level of killings and listen this, plus, they created conditions and chaos that would lead to future killings
What for? Serbia's massive oil reserves or its strategic seaports?
OK, I'll bite since this forum has gone to shiite since you foreign leftists have ruined it.
Tell me, has U.S. ever instigated war where there was no interest in natural resources or strategic location? In this case, you should study up on the reasons why U.S. attacked Serbia, and please do not tell me it was for humanitarian reasons. Use the search feature on this forum for starters. I don't want to repeat myself, but I would like to hear your understanding of the invasion.

some people think it was same like the operation in Libya right now...

that's the thing... the US does business while other countries do war...
that's the thing... the US does business while other countries do war...
also, you forgot to say that USA creates wars and generate crisis when it suits to interests of USA elite (whatever may represent USA elite)
actually i did say that when i wrote "business"...
then, you must admit that it may happen that Polish diaspora may have different business that that of ruling USA `elite`. What then, i asking you, when it become obvious? Poles shell face same destine as USA Japanese during WWII?
can you rephrase it?
simple. It may happen that Polish diaspora have identical interests to the Polish people in homeland, in Poland. Now, those Polish interests may be opposite to the interests of ruling American elite. What would happen then to the Polish diaspora in USA? or if you want, what would happen to the Poland?
In time when communism was enemy, Polish diaspora and people in homeland was united against common enemy. So, interests of Polish diaspora, Poles in homeland and interests of ruling USA elite were identical. People like Aleksander Kwaśniewski were sublimation of those common interests. But, in a blink of an eye, when era of communism was over, people like Aleksander Kwaśniewski turn to be Slavic traitors, practically (no matter it was or it wasn`t said loudly) traitors for the Poles in homeland, traitors from the angle of traditional Polish national interests.
Now, it is questionable how Polish diaspora looks on people like Aleksander Kwaśniewski. How shall Polish diaspora see things? from the angle of Polish interests in homeland or from the angle of ruling USA elite interests? In any case, who shall shape and have decisive impact on politics of Polish state?
While contemplate on this, have in mind that Pope John Paul II strongly opposed to the NATO attack on Yugoslavia/Serbia and even more to the involvement of Polish state in those attacks. It meant that in one moment, Pope John Paul II (as representative of Polish elite) spot that era of communism finished and that now Poland have to worry for her traditional national interests. Once more, i using opportunity to underline how great man was Pope John Paul II. Greater then many (who admire to him) actually could be even aware.
well, we talk about man and there is no any link about man. i would correct that
