I managed to find the names of my Granddad's parents from his Naturalisation Certificate but now I'm struggling to find information on them and his 2 brothers. Does anyone know a good place to find information on Polish ancestors, mainly during WW2?
My Granddad is Stanislaw Mocko (DOB 18-OCT-1927). He was from Warsaw (I'm not sure if he was born here) and came to England, living in Brentford/Middlesex and married my Grandma Joyce Frances in 1950.
I now know that his parents were Czeslaw and Gwara Mocko. I'm not sure on any information on them or his bothers. From what I know about my Granddad from my Dad is that he was in the Warsaw Ghetto and had two brothers. My Granddad escaped the ghetto and it's likely that his family stayed in the ghetto. My Granddad joined the II Polish Corps. He later travelled with the British Army to England and stayed here. It's likely that our surname had an accent above the C.
Where would be a good place to get information? My Dad and I are desperate to find out information on my Granddad's family and would appreciate any help!
