are those middle-aged men with their long moustaches

It was the classical look of Poles in the '80s.I mean the stereotype.

Oh, it's still quite common now. They look like those noble gents on bottled water labels :)

Are all Slavs white? No because I know a Polish guy with no discernible Asian roots but he looks Mongoloid and is ever so slightly yellow. It could be the jaundice ;) ;)

Sarmatians were ancient Iranians. You're telling me Poles are Iranian?

Mate you are an absolute retard. Poles range from pale skin to dark olive, hair colour from blonde to jet black...

What about the tartar blood that has assimilated into Polish etc. What about the gorals, my understanding they derive from Vlachs or romanians??? I don't know much about genealogy but I can make presumptions on what I see around me.

I know Polish people who look like light mongoloids, I know polish people who look like pale sweeds and I know poles who look darker than Mediterraneans, Myself and my family included

EDIT: what about mongols occupying poland and in 1600s poland bordering the crimean tartar

I am part of the first generation of my family who was born in America. I am fully Macedonian (All my relatives were born and raised by Macedonians). At school and when given a standardized test, I have always filled out white even though I have been mistaken for being half arabian or part hispanic. My friend, who is from Albania and looks similar to me, fills out other as his ethnicity. Should I begin to fill out my standardized tests and other information as "other" in the ethnicity box or continue to fill out "white"? As I personally do not look fully white from what I have gathered from other people's opinion, shall I not consider myself "white" but go as "slavic"?

Sites such as Modelmayhem.com consider Caucasian and Eastern European two separate ethnicities.

That site doesn't know what it's talking about, but what can you expect from the internet?

I've met quite a few southern Slavs and there is no way in hell I'd consider some of them "white".

You 've met Turks probably who called themselves southern Slavs.

I think only the Eastern Slavs are noble white. The rest are a mess of white tinges, second sort white.

Who the F wants to be white?

.

Seriously speaking now... I don't think there is so much difference betwen the people inside of Europe.

The current U.S. Census definition includes white "people having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East or North Africa. So even if your skin got olive color you're still "white".

In north of Poland people tend to be "whiter" and in the south darker. Same goes for Germany and France.

In north of Poland people tend to be "whiter" and in the south darker. Same goes for Germany and France.

This is due to the curvature of the Earth which makes sunlight less dense the further north, and South, one goes from the Equator, and since whiteness is caused by the loss of melanine amongst peoples living in areas with diffuse UV B rays in order to synthesize vitamin D, it has had been noted that people in these areas whose diet is mostly fish, which is rich in vitamin D, do not lose their melanine, hence the dark complexion of Eskimos. Darker Slavs may be descended from fisherman.

There was a Polish guy at the footie today that had a really dark complexion. I'm not accustomed to seeing that. Definitely not white.

Word!

Iv'e seen some really dark girls in Poland and they were 100% Polish, my guess would be that they had some Tatar relatives.

Normal people ;)

Don't think so... But i guess the slavic people got some kinda White pride mentality.

And western Slavs look also white.

Look, but are not in reality. Purity of whiteness is only noticeable in the Eastern Slavs. The exception are Polish (not sure of their centrality or easternity) - they are dirty white.

The idea is already taken :(

What kind of pride to cover one's face? These are morons.

HAHA probably a Gyp. Poles come in all shades, from the Teutonic?Scandinavian looks, to Celtic, to Mediterranean or Alpine.

Yea in my family alone we got blondes, a redhead, dark southern European lookers, and ones who look Eurasian so Poles are quite different in appearance.
Seanus  15 | 19666

They can be for sure but there isn't too much variation here. I know one guy who looks more mongoloid.

Those square heads that many Poles have (flat in the back) are clearly not of European origin.
