Hi,
I am a Bossick too. My father was Benjamin Bossick - but his birth certificate said Boleslaw Krawiec. His mother was Mary Bossick (Krawiec) married to George Bossick. Brothers and sister of Benjamin are: Dorothy, George, Stanley, William and John. My Uncles Stanley and William are the only ones alive that I know of and live in Cameron, NY now. Mary Bossick had a sister Anna, that we called "Auntie"....not sure why. Anyway, she was much older than Mary. Both she and Mary died in 1967.
I am trying to find out who MY father's father was. He was "adopted" by George Bossick in the 1920's when Mary married him. Prior to that, I believe he was known as Boleslaw Krawiec. He was born in Jersey City (so the certificate says) and baptized later on (the certificate was issued much later) in Our Lady of Czechtahova church in Jersey City NJ. The person's who were his "sponsors" were Anna Krawiec and Alexander Kasprzak. Never heard of him before. If you know anything of this family history I'd love to hear what you have. I have been searching to no end with no results. Basically my grandmother Mary Bossick told everyone her first husband died. I cannot see how that could have been possible since she was Anna's sister supposedly and both maiden names were Krawiec. Anna was about 12 yrs older than Mary. Both came over to the US from Poland in the early 1900's but I can't find out which one of the boat lists has the right Mary Krawiec. Anna's parents were Josef Krawiec and Rosalia Drozd Let me know if any of this rings a bell.

I don't think you are the same family as I keep running into a Boleslaw Krawiec in Passaic that is not my family. My father was born in Jersey City supposedly and his birthdate is 05/29/1915. They lived in E Rutherford right across the river from Passaic and there were lots of relatives so maybe there is a connection but your Boleslaw isn't my father. My dad's name was changed to Benjamin Bossick and he married my mom Helen Grapkowski from Jersey City.
Hi,
Just saw your post. My grandmother was Mary Krawiec who married a George Bossick. Her sister was Anna Krawiec Kalinowski. Anna had several children so your relative in NY may be some relation. I would have to know more names of relatives to see if they are a relation. Since so many relatives are not living any longer it is difficult to search or ask family questions. My grandmother Mary Krawiec had a son in 1915 Boleslaw Krawiec. I believe he was either illegit or something. Anyway, she later married George Bossick in PA and had several more children. Anna Krawiec Kalinowski was her sister who got married at St Anthony of Padua in Jersey City. I have more info on Anna but little on Mary.
