Ps. I have my family all the way back to Nowogrod 1759. but most of the records
that were found, were from the microfilms from the Mormon church. they have done
alot! I will take a look for ya. Patty

oops, seen your email up top, lol will email you if I find something :) Patty

I looked Catherine, I think you will have to try the mormons church.

I hope you will find more. I know how hard it is. but they have done some
major work recording many records in poland. Patty

Is is possible that the surname is Zacharewicz?
bolo  2 | 304
9 Sep 2006 /  #8
Yes, it's most likely Zacharewicz in Polish.

It's the other way around. "Sacharewicz" is from "Zacharewicz", because "sacharewicz" comes from "sacharyna" and the "Sachara Desert". Where does "zacharewicz" come from? Nothing.

Now we should email Cathy, I guess - who's going to do that? :)

It's " Bananiewska". But you were close. At least it's yellow. Your favorite color.

And shape.....

I think it's your favourite shape - but my favourite color indeed (maybe except for pink).

Hi,
Your grandfather and my mother were brother and sister. You must be the daughter of one of his and his wife Catherine children.
My name is Lidia, I live in Holland in Amsterdam for many years.
Years ago, when I was at school I've written some letters to your grandmother Catherine
and I saw your grandfather once when hi came to visit his old mum.
I can tell you a lot about your polish roots. I knew, I've cousins in United Kingdom, but
I never had contact with them and I wasn't searching.
Anyway: I'm very glad I've found your letter on the internet.
This is my email address: lidiateresa@hotmail and my tel number +31206946022
Unfortunately I don't speak/write english very well, but my daughter Natalia, who also
lives in Holland speaks/ writes very well.
I hope I hear from you
Lidia

I would like to know a little bit more about you. My father was born 8th August 1916 in Lublin. He joined the Polish army before the war and was transported to Russia but escaped and fled to what was then Pursia today Iraq and joined the British army. He has been gone since 1984. There is one brother and one sister living in UK.

SACHAREWICZ: comes from Jewish biblical name Issachar, often rendered in easern Slavdom as Сахар (Polish transliteration: Sachar). The -wicz is a patronymic ending so Sacharewicz = Zachary's son.
