Mormon site has a history center, they microfilmed tons of stuff in Poland.
you can do a town search and see what is microfilmed. do you have a local
history center?
ya know what I will check and see if you have any in Australia.
if you do, you can order these films and go copy the records of all folks pertaining
to your last name and figure it out from there.
pretty sure you will find something :)

ok, heres some more interesting reading about Jankowice, jankowo, which I do
have some ties to a town name jankowo, but prob not same name.
and seriously , these mormons can help you find resources, I am not kidding.
