elkrupski 3 | 15 9 Jan 2010 / #1Does anyone know or ever heard of a Pobra in Russia or Poland? I found some passenger lists on Ellis Island and the peoples names and ages conincide with the age of my great grandparents. I have looked everywhere on the internet for a town or city or region even akin to the name Pobra, Podra....all i get are websites from south america....Anyone have any clue?Thank you!

Polonius3 980 | 12276 10 Jan 2010 / #5No-one surnamed Pobra or Podra in Poland at present, but the root is found in such names as Pobram, Pobran, Pobralski, Podraszka, Podraski and othrrs.
