Yes, where I am it's about average. There's some taller than me (a few even quite a bit taller) and there's also plenty who are shorter.

Are the Poles short, or is it just me?

Okay, so my Husband is a full blood Polish man, and we were having a discussion about the height. What is the average height of a Polish male, and Female.

To me, a Native American, Poles seem to be a short culture with a few exceptions of very tall men. But the women around us are all very short.

My husband says I'm crazy, and that they are not a short culture.

Polish people are not short people. There are short and tall people everywhere, but on the whole, they are average, or even above-average.

This thread, <LOL>, it's like asking if there are midgets or 'little people', in Poland.

Poles are likely the fifth tallest nation in the world after the Swedish,the Dutch,the Czechs and the Serbs.

Some are and some aren't but they are generally pretty tall when compared with most other nations.

I'm 182cms but feel short alongside some males here. A fair few females are my height or taller. Amazon women as Shelley calls them :)

I will show an example of 'Polish height': Manutusz Bolinski, who played for the Philadelphia 76ers...He was 7'6'' in height...He is one of the Blacks Poles from Czestochowa...

A lot of the taller guys tend to come out on the weekends. I've seen some really tall dudes in pubs.
