Hello,
I am currently doing research on my family. All four of my great-grandparents came from parts of Poland. I believe all four individuals came from the Southeastern part. My father gave me two baptism certificates on my grandfather's side. They show records that reference Rzeszow, Stobierna, and Husow.
My great grandfather's certificate might be from that area.
I was hoping that somebody might be able to tell me about his parents.
I wonder if they are burried in that cemetery. And if any other Jastrzab family or my relations might also be there.
I also would like to find out if any family or relations still live in those areas. Are any of my former Jastrzab Aunts, Uncles, or Cousins.
I am curious if my great grandfather Martin had any other siblings. Did his parents have any other children? Family that may not have come to America. I have no records to say if he had brothers or sisters.
My great grandparents came to the United States in 1905 and 1910.
Their names were, Martin Jastrzab who married Petronella Gargala.
They were married in Johnstown, Pennsylvania USA.
I am going to include the documentation for both.
I hope somebody can find some records or photos that will show what happened to his parents. Maybe somebody here might have some idea or resources to help find or locate information on the other great grandparents as well. Or any of the other Jastrzab family that may still exist.
If they had any other children, I would love to know who they are. And how far back the records show, about who they are or were. Maybe I can find out how many generations of my family lived in that area.
I am including the baptism certificate for my great grandparents on my grandmother's side of the family.
Their names were Lawrence Gil who married Mary Grzesik. I have no documents from the church on these two individuals. I do know they were all Roman Catholic, and married in our parish church here in Johnstown, PA USA.
I will include any other documents I have so you can see if there are any clues or information that I am not seeing.
I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me in finding out what happened to my relations. I also hope that we can possibly find a contact that is still alive. I would love to reconnect with our Polish family.
Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
Raymond Robert Thomas Jastrzab
