That's a pretty common name all over Poland, but especially in southeastern Poland. There are 211 people with that name in the county of Limanowa alone. It's not going to be easy to tie ends together unless you have detailed information, especially the names of your great-grand parents. You can try contacting the pastor at the nearest church to the address you have and hope that he is willing to help. BTW, are you from NEPA. I am from Dupont.

Cwik family Limanowa

Does anyone know anything about house numbers in Limanowa, Poland mid to late 1800's. I'm trying to locate my husbands g-great grandparents. Did families live near each other. I have a house number for Thomas Cwik and Anna Jasica. May be the Thomas I'm looking for. They lived in house number 56. They had 3 children, Franciscus b- 1883, Cunnegundis -1879, Joannes 1881. I believe Franciscus maybe my husbands great grandfather -Frances T. Cwik. His fathers name was Thomas and mother is Annie or Anna. Frances immigrated in 1905. I don't have a surname for his mother. There are so many Thomas and Anna Cwiks in Limanowa about that time. I know Frances worked in the Ines, but I don't know which one. There seem to be several. Any information would be helpful. If I can verify his mothers surname, then I can possibly find more information.
