Also, if someone can suggest a variation of Czesław that is easier for English speakers to pronounce

Try Jose Pedro

What a cool story!!! I think he first name czeslaw is rather old fashioned. The youngest czeslaw I know is almost 60 years old :) I like the last name you chose.

Your post is almost 4 years old, so I am curious if you ended up changing your name?
If yes, how do you like it?

If no, what made you change your mind?

They're going to call you Chester. I suggest you change your name to Stanley Kowalski.
I've always liked the name Walenty and almost made it my middle name.

Rather than Czesław,which will get Anglo-mangled into Says-law or Chess-law and might end up as Chester, why not choose a more pronounceable first name which even the dimmest Anglo can handle. A good bet is Bogdan, the Slavic verison of Theopilus (gift of God). Any Anglo can say Bug-done, and that is pretty close to the original.

How the story continued? Is the author called Czesław now?
