I love to cook and enjoy trying new recipes. I would like to have a recipe to make Surowka, the delicious shreded winter vegetables polish salad. Can you help me please?
Hi, I am hoping you can help me. My babcia used to make stuffed cabbage, but not with the beef/rice mixture. She filled them with combination of grated raw potato, flour and egg and plenty of salt and pepper. Then she would put the rolls in pot with plate and weight on top and steam them. Oh how I wish I could make them. She also rolled out the filling dough and made dumpling she call jadee(sic).
My great-grandmother used to make a bread stuffed with either apricots or prunes. What I can remember, she laid the dough out, spread the filling onto the dough then rolled it up. I do not know what it is called and she had the recipe in her head as she could not read or write.
I am looking for an authentic Kielbasa recipe. I've tried to make it to taste like my mom's, but it never turns out quite right. I don't think I have the seasonings correct. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi there - I am trying (have been forever!) to find a recipe my Bachi used to make. It was a cake....but it wasn't a heavy cake. It was light. She would make it in a tube pan and when it was done she would put a sugary glaze on it and then sprinkle it with those little candy-like balls....really really small balls....almost like sprinkles but round.......My sister would love it if I found this recipe and made it for her.......The little things we miss about our Babchi..........
I am looking for a chicken recipe, I think it is called Devoile or Deville. I was told it is similar to chicken cordon bleu, just stuffed with mushrooms and mozzarella cheese? Help

Have you seen the word tochinel in print or was it conveyed merely by word of mouth? Since it does not ring a bell (unless it was meant to mean tłuczone /mashed/ as someone suggested), check if this was not a Jewish dish. Some poeple say 'my great-grandmother used to make this dish in Poland', but that does not necessarily mean she was an ethnic Pole.
