To put ketchup on a pizza is like putting mustard on your spaghetti, it is just wrong
PIZZA & KETCHUP served only in Poland?
Hardly since pizza is a tomato based product.
Ok then, ketchup on pizza is like using a condom during sex, it will never be as good as it could be
Ketchup and Garlic sauce compliment a pizza adding something extra, condoms aren't quite the same thing..
Nevermind, you don't like it and I do, no problem.

Yes we just disagree, so we just leave it there.
Enjoy your pizzas Lefty:)

hm... there is nothing better than good Pizza flooded by ketchup (spicy one) :)
btw, any of you tried a garlic-ketchup? i bought 2-3 bottles of it when I was in Chech republic (years ago)- its nice, green ketchup- looks (and tastes!) great on zapiekanka/pizza/frytki :)
btw2
@Magda2010- fries with vinegar ('in uk style') are actually really tasty.

There is garlic ketchup here in Poland. I must admit, some ketchup can enhance the taste but I'm so conditioned not to do that that I leave it out. Some Jalapeno or Habanero Tabasco sauce, now that's a different story :)

I used to be vigorously anti-the red stuff, but the takeway pizzas here in Poznan need all the help they can get. GO KETCHUP!
Haven't rediscovered it yet, but when I was here in the 90s there was an absolutely brilliant pizzeria in the old town, down some stairs in to the cellar dark wood, mostly candle light, really old-school. Don't know where they got their bananas and curry powder recipe from, but it's my favourite combination to this day.

Bananas and curry powder is known in different Indian concoctions. I used to love that combo when ordering Indian curries :)

pizza without good italian tomato sauce is simply not pizza.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree here. Most pizzas served in Poland DO have the tomato sauce baked into the dough (at least I personally have yet to come across anything different). I should know, because I hate adding extra tomato sauce or ketchup to my pizza, so I eat it the way it was served and I can assure you, there is ALWAYS tomato sauce in it. BTW, some of the best pizzas I've eaten were baked in Poland - including a tiny pizza place in £omża, near the PKS station.

euuw that is indd disgusting...would hate doing that...

Definitely not as much as the "pizza" you can buy at London takeaways ;-p
Poles like all kinds of food with their ketchup...
Spierdude, baby. This is about pizza and ketchup. My wife tends to have ketchup with pizza, rather than the other way around.

i haven't tried french fries with vinegar yet, and i haven't seen any Americans eating that way, but chips with salt and vinegar are very popular here... i didn't like it at first, but it's okey...
