and that sheep's cheese from Zakopane is an acquired taste especially when the in-laws send 5KG because you foolishly said you like it to make them happy.
The Zakopane cheese is one of the better ones - lovely grilled. Most of the rest is just factory-made pap. I do wonder what per-war Polish cheese was like. In the UK (where there are over 700 types) it took years to get over the damage that wartime production needs did to the cheese-making trade, and that in a country that post war was more or less capitalist.
