I found some online, but they are either SKEPPSHULT or Le Creuset...wow the price is just killing me. Anywhere maybe in Warsaw?

I think I might have seen some in IKEA

I bought a cooks knife there several years ago and it is much better than my Sabatier

Almost any decent shop with shuch kitchen utensils. Try big malls or Bomi, Alma Piotr & Pawel.

they are great for meat and anything else. The only problem is cleaning, but the pork chop on cast iron pan will keep its juice in. I cook lots of things with it, I even bake bread in it. Also, it last a long time. I have the cheap version and I love it.

Cast iron pans are the best, and worth the cost, weight and added cleaning effort. Nothing delivers heat as consistently and evenly as cast iron.

It makes even fried eggs taste special :)

There's an excellent cookware shop on ul. Swietokrzyszka, the bit between Marszalkowska and Emillii Plater. They have cast iron pans, plenty of Le Creuset stuff etc. Just north of the Palace of Culture.

Is this the part of the street which is torn up for the new metro project? I think I need to give this a look...

I'm not sure which bit they're diggibg up now, but it's the bit due north of PKiN. Very good shop.

The best cast iron pan I've ever had came from a rubbish bin - I was just putting the rubbish out (in Warsaw) and noticed it had been put there to be thrown away. Perfect condition, really heavy and best quality. I still have it today. Whoever threw it out probably replaced it with something trashy.

The best ones are old ones handed down through the generations. I so wish I could bring my grandmothers here!

I think its a world wide problem finding a decent fry pan, I have come to the conclusion that the best fry pan is the De Buyer mineral B pan (made in France) there cheaper than most non stick pans which are just rubbish and overpriced..check it out
