Best place/way in Poland to buy groceries in bulk?

Hello! I am new to this place, lived in Poland for a year. I am wondering where it is best(cheapest) to buy groceries (stuff for the pantry) in bulk. Need to save some cash the upcoming year. Tried a few different places this last year, carrefour, biedronka, lidl, tesco etc. I live in Gdansk, and do not mind buying stuff online. I eat a lot of vegan/vegitarian food so if anyone has any tips for vegan food in Poland I would love to hear that as well.

If you know someone with a Makro card, that's a pretty good shop.

Excluding the wholesalers then I think Auchan would be cheapest but you will need to factor in travel costs and time. some have a tram stop but that's not going to be comfy with a mountain of groceries. Add in a cab or gas each way and you might be better off at Biedronka.

Even without a registered business s/he might be able to get a card. I'd explain to the customer service desk that I (and my fellow med students) wanted to buy a lot of stuff and needed a card. The worst that can happen is they say no.

It might work. I just use a friend's duplicate card that he gave me. You tap the card at the gate, going in. It's a really good shop, a lot of stuff from overseas that you don't see anywhere else, and very good for bulk purchases too.

I'm pretty sure that they only insist on having a registered business if you want a faktura.


Or you can use their home delivery service (which I'm told is free if you pick certain times).
