Suggestions by members to make PF more user friendly and entertaining.

how many registered accounts and guest usernames you have had.

The problem is that no matter how often the worst offenders here get "permanently" banned, they are always allowed to come back under a different user name. Our forum overlords are fully aware of this and they tolerate it for whatever reason. Why do we need this silly warning system then? Might as well run the forum unmoderated, as Rich suggested.

It's become more like Stormfront

Yes, and the owner was warned more than once that this will happen if he doesn't step in.

...because "Rich" is so awesome and super smart.
BTW, "Rich" has never posted under another name because "Rich" doesn't give a s*** and is not a clinger.

if he doesn't step in

If some here got their way the forum would be like reading the Guardian, boring and full of biased shite

I object to this highly offensive comment about the Guardian. That great publication does not deal with how to find graves in Poland, pierogi and sausage.

Well, I'd rather read the Guardian than the Völkischer Beobachter.

"Rich" has never posted under another name

That stuck in your head, didn't it? LOL!!!

because "Rich" is so awesome and super smart

That's debatable. :)

Völkischer Beobachter.

I never heard of it till now, wiki says it was last published in 1945, did mum and dad make you read it as a kid?

"Rich" is so awesome and super smart.

One thing I do agree on with Rich is that in a balanced normal society everyone should have the right to speak freely without moderation, problems arise once Politicians create an imbalance in their country where the norms of behaviour and social function are disrupted by their polices.

To smooth out relationships between people who have been set apart, as to put it, politicians jump to legislation to try and bring things under control, sadly by these actions the people lose their freedoms and rights to speak.

So Admin has a tough job here, maybe he should open another Polish forum for those here who are currently feeling hurt by people who speak their mind here , it could be called "Polish forum, Snowflake friendly edition".

I second the motion. Alternately, Snowflake Area and Everything Goes.
The former would be out of business in less than a month. That empty room echo would be intolerable.

Well its an option, if we chip in some cash say $100 each the admin would be able to create this "Safe Space" for those who feel disenfranchised by the current setup.

I never heard of it till now

Was the Polish education system in the 1960s really that bad? Or are you just playing stupid? Yep, playing stupid. Well, maybe not playing... :)

people who speak their mind here

People of that kind forfeited their right for free speech in 1945.

Polish forum, Snowflake friendly edition

I'd rather have a forum section called the "Brown Swamp" for all those people who want to "speak their mind here".

I would like links given to the actual posts that inspire mods to give warnings or suspensions... .at present it is deeply irrational and a poster with strong opinions I absolutely am left to guess at what curdled some mod's scrotum (or corresponding lady part)...

In your case it wouldn' be too difficult to guess, underneath a post with a red warning which said "please keep on topic, you give it the big one and posted off topic nonsense. I'm sure the next time you ignore a warning, it will be time out.

"Brown Swamp" for all those people who want to "speak their mind here".

So unlike me, you did go through a communist education system that says it's not ok to speak your mind, interesting.

I would be interested in your manual for what can and cannot be said.

You really don't know why you received a warning? I usually do. I either went off-topic in a conversation, or the Snitch Fairy left a "B" under my pillow. Does that change anything? No. The warning system is toothless as long as it is tolerated that permanently banned members sneak back in. Let's abandon that nonsense. We didn't need it in the early days here, so why now?

Can you hear me?

Can you hear me now?

Loud and clear. Other times, I can hear but can't make it out.

why you received a warning? I usually do

I sometimes express myself strongly but no... I have no idea. There've been times where I thought I was pretty extreme and nothing and then when I write a bunch of normal (to me) posts I'll get a warning...

My best guess was I was teasing Crow... (suggesting that neuroscientists might be interested in his brain's functioning). Why would that be 'abuse'? Beats me.

Welcome to the club. I guess we all enjoyed that particular experience at some point in time. The warning system has always been somewhat inconsistent. Would love to see it go.

Not necessary dolno, just make johnny reb a Moderator and he would clean this mess up real quick.
What I can't understand about all the prim and proper people whining about this member or that member......do they not know how to work their IGNORE FUNCTION ?????

And another concern is how when I look one minute and I have two warnings and the next I have three and yet I never posted anything nor did I get the troll page splashed in my face.

The warning just mysteriously appears by my name out of the blue. lol

How about we call each other morons in the next two posts, mutual suicide by cop.
Rich Mazur  4 | 2894
19 Jan 2019 /  #56
That was a great idea! Let's start each and every post with, hey, moron, and see what happens. The PF jail is not big enough for all of us.

johnny reb a Moderator

YES!YES!YES! that will clean up here with fair and mature moderating.I know being a Mod/Host one does get itchy fingures to tos/ban/gag.

lol you have my vote(lol if there are voting rights here.)

Power is a powerful aphrodisiac. And the route from moderating a forum to the WH is just a couple of steps.

Have you ever noticed how some members warnings drop off faster then others.
That is very apparent.
Then my last suspension was with delph.
We both got a three day timeouts yet delph was allowed back after only two days and I was made to serve the full three.

A couple of members brought this to my attention.
So it is not as much the members as it is the one bad Moderator that needs to go.
The bad Moderator even commented to me that as long as I did not like the Moderator s that I was not going to last here.

My reply back was, "it is that I don't like the Moderator s, it is that I don't like you as a Moderator." (singular)

Tell me about it I have never had ANY removed, yet once someone like delph hits five someone presses the magic reset button.

I dare any mod to explain this, in fact I double double dare them to come up with a fair explanation for this.
